There was a loan taken out in my name by my husband to fix the basement. Everdry came and said they fixed the leak problem and how it gets so damp. Nothing was fixed. They came back, still the problem is not fixed. The last time they were told about this problem, they never came. Then I get a card in the mail stating if I want them to repair something, I’ll have to buy coverage. The initial “fix” was never fixed.

In late October, 2023, I was working outside when I was approached by a saleswoman who was offering a free inspection offered by Everdry Waterproofing. On October 27th the inspector and salesman, ***************, concluded there was dry rot within the floor joists, two walls bowed, and high humidity leading to mold. With a newborn baby these were obvious concerns. After pressure from a sales pitch and a 15% increase in project materials at the beginning of the year, the multi-step system was chosen. We were assured a near finished basement by the end of the project (photo attached). Nothing could be further from the truth. In mid November work began, and we were greeted by a rude and obnoxious crew who performed sub standard quality. What was suppose to be a 4 day project turned into a 8 day affair. When they finally "finished" we were left with a complete disaster (photos also attached). Immediately following the crews departure, a phone call was made to the project manager who agreed to come inspect the work himself. After mutually agreeing the project was unacceptable a list of revisions were drawn up to be completed (photo attached). The only accomplishment from the meeting was a two-man crew on two separate Saturdays, for two hours trying to put durashield on one of the stone walls. Being fed up, I emailed corporate with a complaint. To this day, the "fixes" are inoperable or were never completed. Many more details to follow, but I have included a timeline of events.Oct *****th, 2023 -> approached by saleswoman Oct 27th, 2023 -> inspection, paperwork Nov 15th, 2023 -> work begins Nov 22nd, 2023 -> work "completed", call to project manager Nov 30th, 2023 -> project manager home visit, revisions drawn up Jan 13th, 2024 -> second Saturday partial work Jan 17th, 2024 -> email sent to corporate Jan 25th, 2024 -> new revisions thought to be completed Present day -> water leaking on east wall and French drain inoperable during freezing temperatures

Original job was said to be completed on 7-24-22 but I stated that I wasn't satisfied with the work and I was always told there's a lifetime warranty. I had Everday back out several times to correct the issue and pay them the yearly fee to keep the warranty. I have been trying to get them back to fix issues for over a year now and they will not return my calls. I paid $17,792 dollars for a group of kids that didn't know what they were doing install a water proofing system. The large dry well was placed up on the highest point pf my property, so nothing drains there. I had to fight to get another dry well added and now that drywell gets overwhelmed, and the water just lays along the side of my house. The basement is still damp and smells like mildew. The system did nothing that they claimed it would do. Now I cant get anyone to respond to the issue. They had ample opportunity to response and correct the issue. At this point I would like a refund so I can hire someone else to correct the issues that they never corrected and made worse in the case of the water not be able to drain and the drywell being overwhelmed. There is nothing good to say about this company.

I am rejecting this response because: Nothing has been done with the exception of a meeting. Everdry scheduled the service for May 16th and by their past work history and failure to respond to phone calls this complaint needs to stay open until the issues have been resolved and the system is functioning properly. I'm not certain their fix will work, and they are taking their time to address it. They want to remove all the drain tiles, so the water has nowhere to go except down by the foundation. The wall will not be fully sealed so I am not certain this will work and prevent the foundation from being damaged further. I really do not trust this company at this point. Is there a way to get a second opinion on this matter from an independent party? The more I think about their solution the more worried I get about having more issues.

    Sincerely,

Everdry of Findlay has been out to my house on numerous issues since the initial install. They added a custom entrance to my crawl space which was inadequate. This caused all the pipes underneath my house to burst. After I replaced them ******* and ****** came out and put on another custom entrance out of untreated thin plywood. This entrance is still inadequate and allows moisture and light into the space. Upon further examination they had pushed the old entrance on top off the ezbreath. I had called about the entrance and barrel needing regraded. They sent some one out yesterday **** to do the barrel where he notified me they were still waiting on a new entrance. I believe that they have done the exact opposite from help the valuation of my house. Thru numerous attempts to reschedule out to the owner and ******* I have been stone walled.

In February 2023 I had Everdry Waterproofing install a Multi-Step System, which included a new sump pump. The sump pump installation is wrong: the discharge pipe is going uphill and doesn't drain into the drywell in the front yard.
On June 2, I identified the standing water problem in the discharge pipe to the Everdry Service Manager. On July 25, a technician came, but couldn't fix the problem because he did not have the proper supplies. On August 4, a technician came; he made a minor change and said it was fixed, though I knew it wasn't. So before putting the landscaping back in place, I checked it myself; still the standing water problem. On August 23, the Service Manager came, acknowledged the problem, and scheduled me in October. I complained about the further delay; it is now changed to September 15.
The job is paid in full. I have had multiple problems with Everdry - sold a bill of goods not delivered, and general poor craftsmanship and quality control. I want the problem fixed. And I don't want unsightly discharge lines in my front yard.

I've been working with the Appliance Doctor in **** to get the findlay office (everdry) to pay for service call and repair the washer .  The timer on the washer was broken when they were doing the basement . The men attempted  to install a drainage pipe (PVC) system to  drain the water into the subpump from the washer . Was not done right . Was promise that this would be fixed . Never heard from the guy responsible for this issue. Going on three weeks to get payment. Was promise at first that they would pay by  credit card . ******* was suppose to be in the office . He was not . According to *** at appliance doctor . *** talk to ****** about getting a check . Was told that I would be receive a check for the full amount . Then I would have to pay the Appliance doctor the amount of the repair minus the service call . *** call again to see if everything was ok and I would be getting a check .  Was told that she (called off) . Once again *** called and talk to ******* . Something about the findlay finance company was going to send a check . This was monday of this week. Still have not received a check . I am going to have a friend install a new pvc system . Not going to rely on them. Appliance doctor has tried at least 3-4 times to get things square  away. More run around ,  going home early ,etc

6/7/23 - Met for free inspection/estimate (150 year old stone foundation 1/2 basement, 1/2 crawlspace, total 36'x24'). Never flooded, only seepage, odor & some mortar damage. The inspection was not thorough (did not enter crawlspace), distracted (he talked off topic), disorganized (shuffled papers, couldn't figure out the configuration of our space), but also full of sales/scare tactics, we were rushed for time & he would not leave when we told him we needed time to think on it. Diagnosis: mold/air quality, leaning wall, water. Recommendation: multi-step system for $19,000. We were immediately approved for financing & got a special order discount for being able to start as soon as their schedule opened up which happened to be the next week. We paid a $500 "good faith" deposit and confirmed with someone on the phone.
6/9/23 We regretted the decision so called to cancel. The project ended up being put on hold instead.
6/12-6/21 Our 2nd opinions offered thorough & professional inspections, diagnosed less problems & recommended less invasive work. Suggested that Everdry recommendations were unecessary & would damage the integrity of the structure.
6/23/23 Met with **** ****** to cancel. He said no & gave us three options: pay aprox. $4100 on the spot, put a lien on our house, amend the contract & begin work ASAP. Negotiated 5 hours (felt like hostages) & decided on the minimum quoted option from the original contract for $5500. He added Durashield wall panels to the order for $2600 extra & refused to remove it. We felt pressured to do something and wanted resolution with the least impact that would give us a little time, so we signed the amended contract.
6/25/23 Called after hours & left a message to state our intentions to cancel the contract and told them not to come on the property or deliver services or materials.
6/26/23 Sent a letter certified with return receipt to state our intentions to cancel and not to enter the property or deliver service or materials.

RUN, RUN, RUN away from Everdry as you need to watch EVERYTHING that is done/not done. Production Manager "*******" was to have come on the 1st day to review job and daily thereafter to monitor production.
We never seen or heard from "*******" until we called with complaints on 11/17/22. The communication with Everdry is awful as Contract was to be completed on or before 1/15/23 and was done 2/1/23. This was a 3-5 day job we were told and was to start on 11/9/22(they called off as not enough help). They didn't seem to care about their contract obligation, only that WE had a contract to pay them.
We had numerous times of them calling off, trucks broke down, not enough tools or just didn't show. We were lucky to get 4-6 hours of work at a time. We had to babysitt everything that was done as found we couldn't trust what they said they were going to do...having to dig up area after they left to confirm that they never fix the crack! Work was redone on numerous areas as not done correctly.
We turned our furnace off daily as they had windows open in basement, only to find them sitting in truck one day awaiting foreman at neighbors to go home. We had to go down and unhook compressor from outside to shut the windows with house temp of 52. Numerous tools left frequently.
No protection on flooring, walls, household etc was done on their end (which they had said would be taken care of). We had to cancel Thanksgiving due to concrete dust EVERYWHERE in our house!!!
Many hours lost from work due to babysitting, meetings of complaints and trying to get things done correctly and settled. Good luck on trying to find the headquarters as nobody seems to know. We have many pictures and stories from other customers who have went through nightmares also. 12 weeks of **** this company put us thru....so much for 3-5 day job!!! Everdry is out to take hardworking customers money with no remorse.

I am rejecting this response because:

We are requesting a PUBLIC APOLOGY for the destruction and poor work that was done on the house/basement. The lack of communication and poor workmanship that required numerous things to be redone and things that were "said to be done" and proven NOT done during the scope of work.  I do not recall any  "agreement" but only that we had no other alternative but to pay after "Everdry" went past the contracted completion date. Yes, we agree that work was completed several weeks AFTER the contracted date and we hope to find no problems down the road as there was limited trust in "Everdrys"  work, therefore do not feel that "both" parties were satisfied.

We hired EverDry in March 2021 to waterproof our basement. Our finished basement was gutted for them to install their system. In the last two years, our basement has flooded over a handful of times after their system and after we completely remodeled. Their attempts to “waterproof” anything have not only been unsuccessful, they have caused us lots of damage to new interior walls, wood trim, doors, carpet, and vinyl flooring.
They have had to redo all of their original work atleast twice and are frequently unavailable during a flood when we could use some help to get water out. We have documented all conversations and flooding along with damages

I am rejecting this response because:

We were sold a waterproofing system that we did not need. EverDry did take care of our issue and also caused more damage to our home. We have been told by EveryDry that they do not perform our required services.

I just spoke with ******* today and his solution is to let EveryDry come back again and redo some original work. It would involve digging around my home and putting tar up higher on the outside brick.
Since this has been an ongoing issue for over 2 years, and we have already given EverDry many attempts to fix our problem,  we chose to hire two additional contractors to help us. I will also mention again that EverDry seems to create more problems for us whenever they come out.
We would like our money back to help pay the contractors and cover damages.

EverDry says their contract will not allow what we are seeking from them. We believe this is the fair solution.
They also said we need to get a new homeowners insurance policy to cover basement flooding.

    Sincerely,

I already spoke with *******. He said EverDry is not willing to return our money even though we were sold a system we didn’t need. Their services have failed to address our needs for over 2 years and also caused more damage to our home.

It is my understanding that his response is only to let them continue to do minor work and redo previous work even though we had already hired additional contractors. The contractor has completed the majority of the work that may help us. We feel that a two year timeframe is excessive.

The only fair resolution is to return money for services we paid for but  they were not able to deliver. I am not even for asking for anything for damages. If they are willing to do that, that would be a fair resolution.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The statement from EveryDry that they “stand behind their work” is false. I can provide documentation of communication where they do not show up to do work as scheduled on multiple occasions. They have been aware of our issues from the beginning. They never completed work as promised. We have given them more than enough chances in the past 2+ years. We had to resort to hiring someone else.

If I go to a salon to get my hair colored and they promise me something but instead turn my hair orange, I will give them a chance to fix it. I think it would be considered pretty nice if I gave them a few chances to make it right. Would you go back to the same stylist more than a handful of times if they continued to do the same every time…or worse, your hair starts falling out? No! This is where we are at now with EverDry.

Their services, or actually lack of appropriate services, has caused extensive damage to our home.
Our pictures speak for themselves. I also have videos. This is absolutely ridiculous! I do not want to schedule a time for EverDry to come out here and slap some tar on my foundation and expect that to suffice all we have gone through. We paid a large amount of money. I want my money back!

Our pictures also speak for themselves. I have attached some additional documents

    Sincerely,
