I don’t even know where to start with this company. The whole process was great until we signed the contract and French city homes got there money (was maybe a month from the time we walked in till we signed contract). It has been a year of constant phone calls and messages to get them to come out and finish up the punch list on our brand new home. As time went on it was getting harder and few and far between to get them to come out here to fix stuff. Last contact with French city homes was about 2 months ago when they came back to dig out beside the house for the failing foundation wall. On top of that there is still multiple items on the list that need to be fixed including, utility door lock won’t rekey, utility door weather seal needs installed (we have had a towel under the door for a year now), there are multiple screw holes in the cubbies in the utility room, the mismatched center trim in the living room that covers up the gap that connects 2 halves of the house has still not been fixed, trim pieces are always coming loose off the walls from poor craftsmanship but I’m taking care of that, we had problems for the longest time with our dishwasher and water heater but has now been fixed, and last but not least the **** hole they dug on the side of my house for the foundation repair has still not been filled in after 2 months!! I would fix all of this myself but the simple fact of the matter is I paid $180k for this house and I’m holding french city homes accountable for what they were supposed to do per the contract.
Mind you I have been very considerate and have refrained from stooping to this level. But French city homes, enough is enough and if you continue to treat us like this, there will be a lawsuit on your desk and I will gladly try to sue you guys for every dollar I can. Complaints have already been made to ********, **** ********, and ******* built homes, president of French city. Maybe we can get somewhere with filing a complaint on BBB. DO NOT BUY!

We appreciate that Mr. ****** purchased his home from French City Homes. And, we are very sorry that he feels that he has been mistreated after the purchase. It is our company's goal to try to satisfy every customer and realize that sometimes we may fall short of that goal. It is true that we need to return and backfill the hole from the fdn. repair that we made and we will do that ASAP. Our service manager Mike P**** talked to the mother yesterday and she has three very minor  problems  that need addressed and he told her that we would be out next week to complete them. She agreed that next week would be fine. Threats of a law suit will accomplish nothing because we intend to complete what we are obligated to do. We are sorry that the customer has taken the position that he has taken and hope that we can change his opinion of French City Homes. Thank You, JD S*****, President

French City Homes have drug their feet on our home from the start. I’ve waited several years to write my review so I could cool off. We had terrible response time to “repair” the problems we had with our home. The repairs were only temporary fixes to get them past the 1 year warranty. The repairs were many. And many of the repairs were not from factory defects but from the assembly process once it got delivered. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with the salesman at French City Homes to my worst enemy. I read the other reviews and they sound really familiar. We were also misled and lied to. The salesman will be patient and very helpful until they have their check. Then you get put on the back burner. I was reminded of all this today when I had to call them about my shingle warranty which are coming loose and falling off. I wasn’t calling them to ask them to come fix my shingles. I know the “1 year warranty “ is has expired. I merely wanted a number for the shingle company since the shingles are only 3 years old and needs to be repaired. The problem is the ridge cap which was also put on by you guessed it. First of all, we are certainly sorry for any bad experience that Mr. ****** may have had with our company. I have reviewed the file and find that our service team has been out to do service or repairs on the house on several occasions. We do not deal directly with the shingle mfg. , when we do receive a question about the shingle warranty we direct the customer to the factory where the house was built. We did give Mr. ****** the number of the factory and told him to ask for service and they would try to answer his questions about the shingles. I can assure you that we do not drag our feet until the warranty is over and i am sure that we were back to the house well after the 1 year warranty period had expired. Again , I apologize for any bad experience you may have had.
