On May 17, 2025 I ordered a total of 60 artificial flowers, a pair of scissors, wire cutters, Spanish moss, some picture hanging wire, and a couple of reusable totes from Joann Fabric and Craft online store. However, instead of all of those great things, I received a cheap bracelet. Their customer service number says to email. Their email says it is not being monitored. I need my money back, but I can't find a way to get it back or even talk to a human being.Initial Complaint

I went to JoAnn fabrics in ** ******, ** yesterday (4/14/2025). They told me they could not accept my gift card (aJoAnn fabrics card) because they were a liquidation company. She said to call the number on the back of the card to get my money back. I called that number, got referred to guest relations dept and told to contact customer *****************. After answering questions online I was told to pay $5 to talk to someone. That’s crazy! I’m not paying $5 on my credit card when I’m already out $30! Is this standard business practice?? So who gets my $30??Initial Complaint

I purchased a Sizzix Big Shot Switch Plus die cutting machine. When I got home, it was missing the cord, plates, platforms and user's guide. I purchased this 2.5 hours from my home so I contacted 2 other JoAnn stores and the one in which it was purchased. Due to their liquidation, none were able to assist me. Prior to purchasing, I asked the sales lady if these were new machines. I asked about its use. She called up another associate to explain it to me. I asked specifically if they were returns. There were 4 machines behind the counter. The employee had to get it out for me.Customer Answer

I was able to settle this directly with the JoAnn store, with a little persistence and a LOT of travel!
This claim will no longer be required but I can't express my gratitude enough for the BBB and service provided when deemed necessary.
Thank you.

We purchased two $25 JoAnns gift cards from ******. They were purchased as Christmas gifts. We were not aware of the cutoff time to use the gift cards at Joanns and missed it by one day. We went to JoAnns on Saturday 3/1 and was told we couldnt use the gift cards. We asked for refund for the gift cards but they wouldnt do that either. Please refund us the $50.Initial Complaint

I got a gift card from Joann's Fabric store in the amount of @50.00. This was a Christmas gift.
When I tried to use it I called and the message said the store cannot accept gift cards. I tried then to buy some material on line from Joann's put it in my cart and emailed Joann's how can I pay with the gift card. I received an email they got my request and will answer me shortly by email. Nothing was coming in my email so I called again,. There was just a message and no way I could talk to anybody. I went to my shopping cart and it was empty a then no way to shop on line anymore.
at THE TIME THE RESPONDING EMAIL FROM Joann's sandpapered as well.
The stores are closing. Why they were selling gift cards before closing? They knew what will happen way before. In my opinion, this is fraud. I am 77 years old on SS very low income, customer of JoAnn's FABRIC STORE FOR OVER 25 YEARS.
What a shame. I wonder how many people=customers got scammed. I still have the Gift card and would like to get the @50..00 back. Please respond to me by email. Thank you.

I received a $100 gift card for Christmas. I learned that two locations (********** and *******) were closing but the bigger stores ********* and ******) would remain open. I went to use the gift card on March 4, 2025 only to find a notice on JoAnn's door that they were not accepting gift cards even though they have already received their money. I was told by my local JoAnn's that ALL stores are closing. I would like my Christmas money to use.Initial Complaint

I purchased a $25 gift certificate for my mother before Christmas 12/23/24 from JoAnn's. She lives approximately 35 miles from her nearest JoAnns. She recently drove to the store to use her certificate and the store said since they filed for bankruptcy they do not owe her that money and she could not use her certificate. She protested, but the manager didn't honor the certificate. She spoke to another associate in the store and she was told there have been many people trying to use their certificates but are turned away.
This is outright theft by this establishment. There has to be a resolution. They took our money, still have products in the store of which we could redeem our certificate, but will not honor the certificate. So wrong...
We still have the receipt and gift card that was purchased if needed.Initial Complaint

Like so many others, I have a JoAnn gift card, $100.00, which I've been told I can no longer use. I've contacted customer service 3 different times at 3 different phone numbers, all three times I was told they could provide another number to call and the numbers I was given by all three sent me to the same recorded message, which then automatically disconnects after the message. The last person I spoke with told me, before giving me the phone number with the recording, that there is a form that can be filled out for reimbursement of the value, however there was no form at that address. I see, by other complaints here, a website has been provided to people for this form, however the address has been asterisked out. Can you please provide this website to my email address so I may complete the form. Thank you!Initial Complaint

I have a store credit card with less than $200 on it, and now the store is not honoring this type of payment. It's theft!
