      Dear Ms. *****:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to the concerns raised by the consumer regarding the complaint
submitted to the Better Business Bureau. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to review this matter and
respond accordingly on behalf of the firm. The following is a brief narrative of the collection activity that occurred on
the above referenced account. Our client retained Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. for collection and legal
services on this account in June of 2020. In accordance with the law, we sent the consumer correspondence
advising of the status of this account and provided the proper disclosures under the law.

Initial attempts to resolve this matter were unsuccessful so our client chose to pursue litigation to protect
their rights, and judgment was obtained in our client’s favor on 04/05/2021. As judgment was obtained in our client’s
favor, our client is within their rights to pursue post-judicial remedies in attempt to collect the judgment by means of
a bank attachment. We would like to clarify that the consumer was made aware of the lawsuit, which resulted in the
filing of the aforementioned bank attachment, when personal service of our complaint took place by the Columbia
County Sherriff’s Office on 12/31/2022. As a result of the consumer not responding to the complaint, judgment was
entered against them and the bank attachment was subsequently issued. However, to date, our firm has not yet
received a response to the interrogatories which were served to the consumer’s bank by the sheriff. As such, our
firm is unaware if there may be a valid claim of exemption for those funds. Due to the reference of harassment
within this complaint, we have placed the account in a cease communication status, and will proceed with the
enforcement of the judgment in accordance of the law.

We apologize for any concern or inconvenience the firm’s attempts at communication on the account may
have caused you based on your perception of the manner in which they were received. It is the firm’s goal and the
intent of our client to handle all matters in a professional manner at all times and to deal with all parties involved
with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. Every effort is made to ensure that the collection practices used are
proper and in compliance with state and federal regulations.

This communication is from a debt collector attempting to collect this debt for the current creditor and any
information obtained will be used for that purpose. Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding
this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

      Sincerely,
      /s/ Eileen *. B********

What I like to understand is the following how do they get a judgment without sending proper paperwork out and file in a different jurisdiction than my own offer a case from 2011 which has been sold several times?
Then they get a judgment from the ******** County Municipal Court without my knowledge and receive a judgment of 25% of my income causing me financial issues yet again?
I don't live in ******** County I live in ********* County I have never lived in ******** County?
Statute of limitations in Ohio is 6 years yet were talking about 12 years after the fact?
Whether or not if they answer I'm in the process of pursuing legal actions against ******** County and Weltman, Weinberg and Reis.
$714 per month is damaging to anybody's personal income.
      It's legalized theft.

      Business Response

      Date: 01/23/2023

      Dear Ms.

Our client retained Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. for collection services on
this account in May of 2019. In accordance with the law, we sent the consumer correspondence advising of the
status of the account owed to our client.

Prior to placement with our firm, our client chose to protect their rights and pursued litigation to resolve this
matter. As a result, a judgment was obtained in our client’s favor in 2011 which was within statute. After placement
with our firm in 2019, proper attempts were made to contact the consumer to explore resolution options, but those
efforts were unsuccessful. Our client is entitled to consider all remedies available to collect this judgment so our
client chose to pursue post-judicial remedies. We acknowledge the consumer’s dissatisfaction with the post-judicial
remedies pursued on behalf of our client to resolve this matter, as well as the issues raised regarding improper
venue of the judgment obtained in 2011 by our client’s previous counsel. Upon review of this matter with our client,
we have filed a release of garnishment as of 12/27/2022, and have returned this matter to our client. Consequently,
this matter has been closed with our office and is no longer being handled by our firm.

This communication is from a debt collector. Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding
this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
