    I sent a prototype ****** **** ****** to the dealer for access value and to auction. I had paperwork in a Manila envelope. The first person I delt with Ashley who was very nice but got fired that’s when everything went wrong, it was held onto for three months went to Auction diddnt meet reserve . They sent the gun back without all the paperwork that proved the gun was mine and also proved that it was truly one of a kind shotgun, the paper work that was sent was scattered in the the box. It took three days to straighten out that the gun was mine .I will never do business with them again.

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

    This firearm was held for approximately three months because our appraiser required that time to gather the necessary documentation and conduct a proper evaluation. Once the appraisal was completed, the consignor set a reserve price that significantly exceeded typical market interest. As a result, the item did not sell at auction. We were very clear that setting such a high reserve (especially after receiving the appraisal value) would not yield a successful sale, but the customer insisted.

    After the auction concluded, we returned the firearm to the FFL of the consignor’s choice, along with all the original documentation that was provided to us. This included paperwork that had also been photographed for the auction listing.
    There was some initial confusion upon delivery, as we were not informed that the receiving FFL had not been notified by the consignor that a return shipment was coming. We promptly contacted the receiving FFL to resolve the matter and confirm the item belonged to the consignor. With the FFL dealer not knowing the item was being sent to them, there is a very high possibility that the FFL dealer had to dig through the shipment to try to figure out what it was / who it was for. 

    All procedures followed were standard and conducted in good faith, with the goal of providing a proper appraisal and the best chance for a successful auction.

    I bought a firearm and flashlights from Summit gun auction. They sent my items to some unknown location. I have tried to reach multiple time via Email,phone Ext.

    My invoice is paid my shipping is paid.
    The lack of communication is ridiculous.
    I want my package to be delivered to the FFL I have provided.
    I guess the next step is contact from my attorney.

    This complaint was brought on by an internal issue at our company & lack of proper communication (on our end) to the customer. It was only discovered by management once a chat from was submitted through our website on 3/31 (7:00pm) and then this BBB dispute which we were notified about on 4/1 (5:50am). Immediate action was taken within our company to figure out where the lapse of communication occured & then the customer was immediately contacted by upper management to deescalate the situation & find a resolution. The customer was very kind & cooperative given the situation at hand & did confirm that they would still like to proceed with getting this item delivered as originally planned. Our shipping team is working to get this item out immediately & our  management team has promised to oversee this shipment until the correct delivery has occured & the customer has the product in hand & is satisfied. We have also made the necessary changes internally to ensure that this type of (lack of) communication does not happen again - with any customers. We have expressed our sincere apologies for this situation & take full responsibility for this issue & lack of communication!
