Acct ******* - Keybridge sent me a collection notice with an amount but no explanation. I work 2 jobs so I cannot call during business hours so I emailed requesting information. I left my email address but no response. I emailed about a week later and no response. And again this week and no response. They threaten if you don’t response or pay in 5 days etc etc but they don’t respond at all. I’m not going to pay something with no explanation as to what it is for. Also they already tried to take money from me that was for a bill that was paid in full so I don’t trust they know what they’re doing.Business Response

On 6-17-2023 I made an online payment to Keybridge in the amount of $1500. Thus brought my account balance to just a little over $400. Then on SUNDAY 6-18-2023, Keybridge report a collection account to all 3 credit bureaus stating I had a balance of $1,910 which was not correct. If they are going to report on Sundays, I feel they should deduct the payment I made on Saturday. The other thing is, I was only aware of this account being sent to them for less than 3 weeks. Keybridge is a company that is out to ruin peoples credit and that’s a fact!Business Response

I am not liable for this debt with ORTHOPEDIC INSTITUTE OF PA and do not have a contract with KEY BRIDGE Account #************* They do not provide me with a validation of the debt.Business Response

KeyBridge conducted a detailed investigation regarding the
claims the consumer is not liable for the debt.
We notified the original creditor of the dispute and requested documentation
to substantiate the charges. On March
23, 2023, the creditor confirmed the outstanding debt is owed and the consumer
is liable for the charges. Verification of
the debt with supporting documentation was mailed to the consumer. We have updated our system of record to reflect
the debt is in dispute. On March 30, 2023, the National Credit Reporting Agencies
(Experian, Equifax, and Transunion) will execute a new policy that removes all medical
collection tradelines that are not a minimum of $500.00. If the consumer has any questions regarding our response, they may contact the KeyBridge compliance officer directly at ************.Sincerely,

I have called numerous times (both numbers provided), during business hours, to get a "no one is available and a click. I have paid my debt through the hospital and have no outstanding balances, but somehow keep getting a letter saying I owe $20 from an original $69 bill. This has now hit my credit report even though it was paid.
The voice-mail I received also started with a very soft "*****" then loud hello, followed by the rest of the message. I find this super unprofessional.Business Response

KeyBridge has reviewed the complaint and did conduct an
investigation. Our call center does
experience high call volumes. It is our goal to answer all consumer calls within
30 seconds or less but unfortunately during peak hours consumers may have to
wait longer. We apologize for the inconvenience
and we do provide for all callers who wish not wait on the line the option to receive
a call back when a representative becomes available without losing their place. With respect to the balance of $20.00 showing
in our system of record. KeyBridge did request verification of the debt from
the original creditor. On March 14, 2023, the creditor did notify KeyBridge
that their records still show a balance of $20.00 owing. A copy
of the verification was mailed to consumer.
We have updated our system of record to clearly reflect the consumer is
disputing the charges. If the consumer has additional information related to
the dispute, it can be sent to KeyBridge who will reinvestigate further. We also
contacted our I.T department and had them investigate the contents of our
messages to consumer. The director of I.T thoroughly tested, reviewed and analyzed
the results of our automated messages.
We can with absolute certainty confirm our messages do not and
never have included any such negative language.
Our message greeting is a simple, ‘Hello.’ If the consumer is willing to provide a copy
of her message to our I.T department, they will investigate this further. The consumer may contact the Compliance
Officer (**** ********) at ************ ext. *** for more details.

KEY BRIDGE- GAC1OIXXXXXXXXXXX
I am in receipt of your company’s letter informing me you’re handling the collection of the accounts mentioned above. However, after reviewing my records, I am unable to find any documentation of any contractual relationship between (KEY BRIDGE } and me which makes you a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me. This letter is NOT a request for verification or validation.
This is a request for proof of contract to substantiate your claim. Provide me with a certified copy of an original contract, with my signature specifically naming YOUR company as a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me . Certifications can be done through the presence of a notary public, who duly swears the copy made is in fact a copy of the original paper contract in question.
Failure to respond and provide strict proof of contract will constitute your tactic agreement that you, KEY BRIDGE are NOT entitled to enforce a claim against me. In the event you continue your collection efforts against me without providing proof of contract, I will file a complaint with the Attorney General and Federal Trade Commission, and file a police report against you for harassment and invasion of privacy.
I DO NOT have any contractual obligation to pay YOU at this point as you have failed to provide ANY proof of that. A copy of an alleged bill is simply not enough satisfactory proof that I, personally, incurred this alleged debt. REQUEST ANY DEROGATORY INFORMATION REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS BE REMOVED if I find this entry on my credit report later interferes with my ability to obtain credit with favorable terms, I will bring suit against your company and the original creditor for all applicable damages, as well as for statutory penalties provided under the FDCPA and FCRA.Business Response

The complaint has been reviewed. We conducted an investigation that involved a
detailed review of our internal records and requested documentation from the original
creditor that would substantiate the debt. On March 21, 2023, the creditor
confirmed the debt is valid. The charges originated from six separate dates of
treatment and is balance after insurance.
Verification of the debt has been mailed directly to the consumer. KeyBridge has notified the National Credit Reporting
Agencies that the debt is being disputed. We have also updated our system of record to cease
all further attempts to communicate with the consumer. The consumer is welcome
to contact KeyBridge directly if there are any additional questions.

Based upon our review of the facts, as a data furnisher,
KeyBridge has unequivocally complied with the regulatory requirements of both
the FCRA and the FDCPA. In our
investigation, we concluded that the data we furnished to Equifax, Transunion
and Experian was complete and accurate.
There is no basis for KeyBridge to delete the tradeline when the debt has
been substantiated. As previously
stated, we did send an update on March 20, 2023, that the charges are in
dispute by the consumer. Please note, in
July of 2022, the NCRA modified their policies and agreed to delete all medical
collection tradelines when the data furnisher reported the debt paid.Customer Answer

KeyBridge has reviewed the complaint and did conduct an
investigation. Based on the facts our
agency uncovered, the consumer was provided proper notice of all accounts and
no payment arrangement was agreed to by all parties. In order to provide an accurate response, we requested
documentation from the attorney handling the case for KeyBridge. It was concluded that the consumer made his appearance
in court in May of 2022 and signed an agreed judgement and offered payments of
$100 per month, however the plaintiff denied.
A second court appearance was in September of 2022 where the defendant
offered $100 biweekly, but the plaintiff again denied the request. The courts
granted a garnishment order in November of 2022. The attorney
handling the case for KeyBridge also stated per consumer’s request they attempted
to make contact with the him on several instances but the consumer did not
answer. We will once again mail the consumer
anything active in our system of record, however he will need to speak to the
attorney in IN directly on the ongoing legal case. If the consumer chooses the
option for bankruptcy, all parties will be notified and appropriate action to
be compliant will be taken. The consumer is welcome to contact KeyBridge directly
and speak to the division manager for any further questions or assistance.

I have received absolutely nothing in the mail regarding my robo calls I receive from this company leading me to believe it was a scam. I never received a real human on the other end of the line, my phone flag’s as a spam risk. I have no account number as I have never received a piece of mail regarding any outstanding balance from Keybridge. I refuse to have my credit score drop from a company who doesn’t even contact its clients properly regarding something as important. I have been receiving several calls a week from Keybridge with robo voicemails at the end.Business Response

KeyBridge has reviewed the complaint. Our records
illustrate that our initial written communication to the consumer was mailed on
the 22nd day of September 2022.
There were approximately 14 days from the date we mailed the notice to
when we began our attempts to communicate by telephone. Under strict guidelines from the CFPB, our
company is only permitted to leave ‘limited contact messaging’ to protect the
privacy of the intended called party. Furthermore, once the call is placed, our
name and caller ID is distributed to the various telco providers. However, some wireless carriers and apps will
transmit the caller ID to reflect spam. Please
understand it is never our intent to dilute the information being sent out to mislead
any consumer, but unfortunately there is not much we can control with the
various telecommunication companies. KeyBridge has taken the initiative to investigate
the consumer’s complaint further and have mailed additional information to the
address on file and listed on the complaint. We encourage the consumer to review and
contact our office with any questions.
Sincerely,
KeyBridge
