I ordered this 3 seasons room in 2021 upon final approval it did not get approved by the village. In the meantime I have been trying to get them to repair leaking windows. They would only put a step when you go outside. I had to fight with them to get it resolved. One of the windows is leaking and now almost all of the windows are leaking, They tried telling me it was because the room was too small, if that's the case they should have told me. I don;t know how many times I've tried to get a hold of them. They won't respond to me. I'm pshysically disabled and my daughter is mental disabled.Business Response

I entered into Contract (#*****) with Great Day Improvements/ Patio Enclosures for a 3 Season Room in September 2021. I am told because of a backlog in "supply chain". the materials, for the building of the room, were delayed in arriving. The actual work did not begin until the summer of 2022. Upon completion of the room and with the first rain storm after that, August 19, 2022, I sent an email that the room was leaking. I am willing to provide the emails and texts to support this complaint. It was about 2 weeks before someone came out to check out the leak. After I was told sealant was added and this would not happen again. I had flooring installed and the leakage has continued. It has been over a year that I have been asking the Company to replace the roofing. While they have sent workers out on four different occassion, to no avail. The leaking continues. For the past month, I have reached out and no response. I was told, via text, that my complaint had been sent up to supervisor. I do not have names of supervisors only person that I have text messages with. I can share the photos, text messages, and emails. I would like the roof replaced and the leaking to stop. It is ruining my furniture and floors. I do not know how to get the Company to respond. As a matter of fact, I was doulble charged for a payment which caused a riffle effect in my checking account. The funds ($16000) was repaced but not any restitution for the checks that were returned as a result of an error on the Company's part. I was feeling uncomfortable about the project prior to them getting started. I wrote an email and spoke to the District Manager about not going through with the project. I was told that the materials had been ordered and I could not break the contract. This is only a few of the issues I had with the Company. I am willing to give other additional information, if needed.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: While this is an appropriate response, it appears to be a general response and not specifically addressing my concern. My specific complaint is that the space is leaking. I have been dealing with this since the installation. I contacted the Better Business Bureau because responses from the Company stopped.
I was contacted after filing the complaint and given an appointment for January 29 (between 10AM and 1PM). This is more than two and a half weeks out. When I asked if the appointment could be sooner, I was told that the field supervisor had other appointments. I asked, in my complaint that the repair be done. Whatever it takes for that to happen. Everytime it rains, the room is flooded. I sent photos of this to the Company. I understand the delay in beginning the Project, I mentioned this in order to set the context for the problems I have had since the beginning.

I am rejecting this response because: I am looking forward to the field supervisor's review of the leakage in my 3 season room. I do hope that the supervisor has the opportunity to review the text messages, emails, photos and all the documents prior to the appointment. The photos, for example, show that the leakage is not only from the roof but throughout the room. Prior review will help us all be on the same page during the appointment. I am sincerely hoping for this to end with a fair resolution.

Patio enclosure was done on 11/27/23. They did not complete the job as the failed to put weatherstripping at the base of the door, placed the door handle at an inaccessible height, and left a gap between door frame and floor. Numerous requests were made to have these issues corrected since they required final payment before job was complete. First request was placed on date of service 11/27. I even spoke directly with customer service rep ******* ****** who assured me on Dec 18 that I would be receiving a call to schedule service in the next few days. That did not happen and I have yet to receive a resolution to this matter.Business Response

This was a contract to remove a hail damaged awning and install a new awning. The contract details are attached. The contract was to use existing concrete piers for the new support columns. Instead of using a partial bag of pre-mix concrete to set the new posts, the new posts were set on the existing concrete with concrete fastners, a photo is attached. Also, the contract stated I did not agree to drafting my checking account for payments. I sent checks as needed until the job crew arrived. After the crew left, not finishing the contracted project, my checking account was drafted twice to complete the payment. The contract states there were to be gutters and downspouts installed. They were not installed. The Company took my money, did not finish the job and they did a poor installation. I want the support posts installed properly in concrete and I want the gutters and downspouts installed per the contract.Business Response

We sincerely apologize for your experience not being what we would hope for. We want to express our regret that your experience did not meet the high standards we set for ourselves. Patio Enclosures installed my parent’s patio enclosure about 11 years ago. The inside pane of one of the upper trapezoidal windows fractured. The glass is roughly 76”x32” on the higher side. The installation has a lifetime warranty. We originally contacted the business by sending an email on 9/15/23. We followed up with another message on 9/19 and 9/21 and voicemails. On 9/22, they requested pictures and a copy of the warranty which we provided. On 9/28 they responded with “we are still working on getting your service request up and running”. After multiple follow ups and dates they provided to fix the issue, as of 12/13, almost three months later, they have yet to replace the fractured window. I left another voicemail for them today (12/13) around noon but did not hear back as of 6:30pm. Note that, if the outside pane also shatters, there is potentially a risk of injury to people inside or outside the patio due to falling glass, and/or risk of damage to personal property due to rain/snow/wind getting into the patio. On 12/9, when we asked them to confirm when they would be arriving to replace the window, they replied on 12/11 with: “I just found out the installer was injured and was not able to work on Saturday. I am waiting on The Install Supervisor to update on the status of him and the schedule. We will be in touch soon with a new date. I really apologize for the schedule change. We are absolutely not pushing you aside. The schedule due to the weather has changed dramatically multiple times and crew availability has been an issue as well. Every current build and service has been affected by these unanticipated situations. We do ask for your flexibility during this time we will do our best to keep you informed.”Customer Answer

On 12/14, they informed us “I apologize for the delay. After speaking with the supervisor, we will reschedule you for Saturday 12/16/23 between 8-10” but yet again, on 12/15, we were informed “I just spoke to the installers and they want this Saturday off. I must move you to Monday 12/18/23. You are the only thing on the calendar. They will be onsite between 8-10.”Business Response
Date: 12/19/2023
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delays in completing your parent’s service. We understand and share your frustration. The glass that needs replaced is very large and heavy. We need more than 1 person to be able to safely replace the glass. The situation is truly a capacity issue, and we are trying our best to get to every customer as soon as possible. ******* has been in touch with your parent’s, and we are anticipating on having the glass replaced this week. Thank you for reaching out, we use every review to improve our customer experience.

. My sunroom was completed sometime in November 2023. I was left with a pile of dirt on a little hill with 2 small pieces of wood to step on to enter and exit from ONE door leading to outside. I have2 doors but after my first complaint, a sloppy concrete slab was add in front of door #1. Leaving #2 unavailable to use if I don’t want a lawsuit against me. It’s very frustrating and dangerous. . Oh wait ******* from the Company suggested I plant flowers or call my salesperson to get a quote on concrete. My backyard is flat - I was not told that a hill will prevent me from entering or existing safely to my sunroom. I paid too much money not to have my ending result satisfactory with proper and a safe way to enter and exit without fear of falling.Business Response

A window patio enclosure was purchased in late August 2023. I have had numerous delays and excuses for the job not being completed as of Dec 2023. They have torn out my back porch and sent the wrong color windows, that clearly stated on the contract what color was chosen. They have called in early October and said they were having delivery problems. They are not returning my calls or given me any date on when the windows will be installed. This has been a nightmare. Poor communication, broken promises, sloppy paperwork.Business Response

We had a porch enclosure from this company last year. We had been away for a number of months and only recently have been back at our home. Our porch enclosure leaks in ten places whenever it rains. In addition, there are a number of sections that are not aligned. The workmanship appears haphazard and the cost was excessive for the quality of the porch. In addition, when we contacted the company they requested a number of pictures which we sent in. The company continued to request more pictures. After all these pictures were sent it was a slow response from the company. We had to call every few days before we received any type of response.Business Response

Great Day Improvements/Patio Enclosures installed a three-season sunroom in February 2013. My complaint about a leaky roof began in October 2022. One service call on Oct. 28 did not fix the problem. I paid $1185 for that service call. I again repeatedly complained about continued leaks. On a second service call on March 23, 2023, the installers told me they had not been informed of the problem, and they did not have enough of the preferred sealant on their truck. They would supplement with something else. Some seams of the roof seem not to leak any more, but two seams have continued to leak. Repeated emails from March through mid-July did not bring any scheduled service call. On July 14 ***** said that ****** would be in touch when something was scheduled. I never heard from ******. Finally, on November 10, 2023 I sent a more forceful email, which elicited a response from ******. Ultimately, she said that I would need to pay an additional $1685, since there is a 90-day warranty on service calls. I think this is unreasonable, since the original problem of a leaky roof was never satisfactorily fixed.Business Response

We first started to work with Patio Enclosure in 8/22. They had told us that the project we were interested in would be doable and that it would be installed before the winter set in. The total was$93,000for a 15X18 foot room, with a 9 ft side wall and a gabled roof approximately 12 feet high. They required a $27,000 downpayment to start the process of getting a permit and for their engineers to start the actual paperwork for the design. A few weeks later, they called and said the project would cost another$4,000for adding things that had initially been overlooked: some electrical, a trench footer, two posts to support the roof, and changing the height of the walls from 9 feet down to 8 (which their design team said needed to be done).it took months for them to confirm the permit; we were now in early spring. They then told us they couldn't accommodate the project we wanted. They could no longer do the ***** roof; it needed to be a single-slant roof. The room size would also be 15X13 feet, shaving off 75 square feet and cutting the room almost by 1/3 and also changing the spaciousness of the original ***** roof. They said these changes were due to permitting issues, yet we have a stamped permit with the original design approved. They said they would cut the price by approximately $10,000, a drop in the bucket considering how much smaller the room would be. At this point, it was a completely different design and would not allow be what we wanted. Once they started the project, they cut into an existing custom concrete patio in the wrong area, marring it and backfilling it with ugly grey concrete. Now, it requires us to put in carpeting to hide it. Then proceeded to leave our roof open over a long, rainy spring weekend. This caused a lot of water damage to 2 main walls in our family room. The cost of mold testing and repairs was$9000. The cost of carpet to cover up the concrete damage was another $4000. This added $13,000 to our charges.Business Response
