Filed a claim when my outboard Motor locked up they denied the claim even after talking to my Marine certified mechanic saying they will not cover the issue after I paid 2800 for the contract. I would not recommend going with this company seeing how they deny claims that are higher price issues now I see why they have terrible ratings. Also filed a complaint with my state attorney as well. I expect a full refund on the services they don't give.

We are sorry you are unhappy, but your claim was not denied, and our claims supervisor did explain that, and that several items that could be responsible for the failure were not covered (water ingestion as an example) and where those exclusions could be found in your service contract. He also asked you to give permission for a teardown so an inspector could see if something else was responsible for the issue experienced.
You contacted our cancellation department yesterday, but declined to cancel and stated that you would go ahead with the teardown as requested.
As for our ratings, United States Warranty Corporation is not now nor have we ever been affiliated with United States Warranty Corp, located in Florida, who covers cars. Our BBB rating is A+
It's our hope that as we continue with this claim, that at least a portion of your claim will be covered, but we won't know until all possible avenues have been explored.

They would not cover the tear down as well so if that was done out of my own pocket and they would deny the claim again I’d have to pay to put it back together I have also contacted the state attorney general in Connecticut as well.

I would not recommend this warranty company to anyone ! I have a 2019 Harley Davidson Road Glide. The Arc Decompression release valve stopped working as I was riding. The whole Cylinder head needed replaced. Once diagnosed by my personal mechanic who Is A Harley Certified mechanic and also by Stinger Harley, mechanics I notified United States Warranty to start a claim. US Warranty sent out someone to inspect my claim . Stinger Harley told me they thought that was weird they said they haven't seen an inspector in years especially for something like this. It cost me $150 to get my bike towed home. Stinger came and picked it up from there and told me it will cost $2,000 parts and labor . US Warranty denied the claim stating that they can't because they wont warrant stripped threads. Mark Wary was told by both mechanics that the threads were not the problem . But that was the excuse used to deny a very legitimate claim that they should have covered . The whole motorcycle has threads so no mater what i make a claim for that could be their excuse to deny a claim but yet still take my money . So I decided to drop them . Mark actually tried to talk me into not dropping them saying I will need them in the future . I told him I needed you now and was given a very weak excuse to deny my claim . My Harley gets well taken care of . This is a Harley defect that just happens . I was told to possibly file another claim to their claims review board , but I found out that Mark Wary was also on that review board . I was told by Harley Stinger why they think my claim was really denied and also by my personal Mechanic and it had nothing to do with threads . But that's something that cant be proved at this time . If you have this warranty corporation i suggest drop them before they leave you out to dry the same or worse then they did me.

We are sorry you were unhappy with the claim process and outcome, however, under Exclusions, found of Page12 of your contract booklet, it clearly states that threads are excluded. " WE do not cover any part, event, condition, or failure caused by, related to, or resulting in or from: c) attaching devices including but not limited to adhesives, bolts, fasteners, latches, stripped threads..."
You further mentioned a ****** ******** defect as well. on the same page on the service contract, we note that defects are not covered, "a) Manufacturing defects or poor design..."
**** ****** our claims supervisor is the one you spoke with and is not a part of the Claims Review Board. However, the findings would have been upheld due to the above mentioned Exclusion in your service contract.
I hope this clarifies the reasons behind the denial of your claim.

If I could leave zero I would. Don’t pay claims when expensive. Then if you cancel your policy they deduct any claims you made from the balance owed to you. This seems criminal to me.

According to the records, this contract holder had approximately 30% left on his contract and 5K in claims. It is stated in our contract that a prorated refund does occur after any claims have been subtracted. This is customary in the service contract industry.
*** ******* is correct we did not pay an engine claim. We sent an inspector which sent photos and a lengthy report as to the cause of failure on his **** ****** . It was determined that we have a denial based on water ingestion and neglect. The notes further say that rainwater got into the engine and destroyed it.
This is so unfortunate, and we understand his frustration. Per our contract language, we state our limits of liability and cancellation policy on pages 17 &18.
The denial was due to neglect, which is stated on page 16 under Exclusions.
He has had several expensive claims over the years. To date the company has paid $4856.7 .

Since owning my RV USWC has been called upon twice for repairs, one was a minor issue of the convection/microwave stopped working, the dealership completed the replacement and USWC took care of everything except the small deductible. The 2nd was much larger, a major engine issue, USWC had me contact a local repair facility, the diagnoses was a fuel system pump and injectors on a diesel engine, all repairs were made timely and USWC was there throughout the process. I did have to pay up front but USWC did reimburse me in the time frame promised. I am really happy with WSWC so far.

      Ralph,
It's been a busy summer so I apologize for the late response to your favorable review.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I have shared it with the team! "We work hard so you don't have to" right?
Engine repairs are never easy and I am glad you found the process, fair and timely. We reimburse many contract holders, as some repair facilities won't work with third-party service contract providers. Luckily, we have been in business for almost 50 years and most of our repair and dealership service depts know we pay and give fair labor rates too. Be well and enjoy your RV!
