In April of 2024, I had the Bufftech Chesterfield Smooth Finish fence installed by ****** Unlimited. The reason for the fence was to block sound from the neighbors and a road. My decision was based on a brochure stating "Bufftech panels block 98% of direct sound, with an (STC) sound transmission class of 21, to create quiet spaces". The fence does not block any sound from the road. In June of 2024 I contacted Certainteed and they said I need to contact Barrett Outdoor Living. On June 18th I contacted Barrett and was told to send an email to ***********************************  I sent the email and received a response on the 20th to contact Preston *******. Around June 18th, I did talk to Preston, who told me someone will reach out to me. I never received a call. On July 23, 2024, I sent another email and did not get any resolution. I sent another email on 8/8/2024 stating I never heard back from anyone. Preston keeps telling me he sent the information to the warranty department. It's now 8/26/2024 and I have not received a response. I have copies of the emails if needed.

I purchased this fence 8/14/2021 which carries a 30 year warrantee. 1 1/2 years later I noticed a hole in the lower rail. The week I noticed the hole was approximately a month ago when we had a really cold snap and everyone was having problems with pipes freezing, etc. I contacted them and they said it was not covered. I believe my neighbor accidentally hit the fence while taking her child out from the backseat car seat. I did ask but she denies knowing anything about it. I told the company I believe the bottom rail was defective as it should be able to withstand cold temperatures where the product is being sold. I reached out to Lowe's where the fence was bought and they said the fence company carries the warrantee.
