    The business sent us an invoice for water remediation which we paid on their online invoice system. However, they then sent us a letter indicating that they were going to place a lien on our property if we didn’t pay. However, we had already paid. Then, I sent them an email and they indicated that they did receive the payment and the problem was remedied. However, two weeks later a lien was actually placed on our property despite them having received the payment, emailing that they had received the payment, and the payment coming out of our checking account. There is currently a lien on our properly that has been placed in error.

    Dear **** *********,  I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience and confusion surrounding the lien that was filed on your property. After reviewing the situation, I understand that the payment of $1,300.00 you made on December 9th was unfortunately not reflected in our system due to a technical issue caused by the transition to our corporate office’s accounting and CRM systems. This led to a delay in updating your payment status, which resulted in the filing of the lien on December 26th.
    Please know that we have already processed the release of the lien this morning to expedite the process, and we emailed a copy of the lien release document to your email for record. We want to assure you that this will not cause any further issues to you or your home, and the lien has been officially removed.
    We truly regret any stress or frustration this situation may have caused, and we deeply appreciate your patience as we work through these growing pains during our system transition. Our team is committed to improving our processes so that situations like this do not happen again in the future.
    Thank you for your understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns. We value your business and are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    I do appreciate the response and the apology from the business and the lien has been removed. However, I got yet another email today requesting payment for this invoice which I paid over one month ago. Attached is the email. So obviously this account issue is not remedied.

    I live in a ground level condo that sustained water damage from the unit above when pipes broke. Icon Property Rescue was contracted to fix the damage. Within months it became evident that the ceiling was collapsing where Icon supposedly repaired it. Also, with a flashlight I discovered many areas that were not painted as contracted. Their estimator came to look at it and agreed it needed repaired. He sent a painter out who refused to do the work. The estimator responded that Icon was too busy to fix the issues and now refuses to respond.

Our subcontractors completed this work and the homeowner, *** ******* signed the certificate of satisfaction stating that she was happy with the work. We have since contacted ** ******* and scheduled our construction manager to go and remedy the problem.
