      I’ve visited this shop twice. The first time I was incredibly desperate for a repair so I’m sure I was overcharged then too. I won’t deny the good and thorough work. If money isn’t a problem for you then by all means but when I called around to other shops and told them the price I was told for the work that needed done they LAUGHED! When I picked my car up to have it taken to a reasonably priced shop, I was delivered with a $460 bill for an oil change and inspection. Before you go to this shop be aware of being overcharged. Do not make this your first stop. Shop around, there’s plenty of reputable shops that won’t break your bank!

      When Ms. N**** brought her 2017 VW Golf to us, it was running rough and warning lights were appearing on the dashboard. She approved our costs for doing a diagnostic service and oil maintenance service, which we then completed. We called her with the diagnostic results and recommended repairs, and she gave us approval to order the parts and perform the repairs. Our service advisor immediately ordered the parts so we could fix the car as soon as possible. Later in the day, her friend called to tell us not to perform the work. We explained that the parts already had been ordered, and that the vendor charges us restocking and shipping fees for parts we return. Because of this, those fees would be included on the invoice for the diagnostic and oil change. Since the person who called was not the owner, we called Ms. N**** directly to confirm she didn’t want the other repairs. We explained the additional fees to her, as well. We understand they were not happy about paying the fees. However, it is standard industry practice for customers to reimburse restocking and shipping fees if they cancel orders after they’re placed.

      I highly recommend foreign exchange. I started going to the moraine location around 2001. Even though I had a Honda Prelude I was always treated with class and respect. Sure my car was inexpensive compared to their typical customers cars but I wanted the best mechanics in the Dayton area. Many times they accommodated me by doing the repairs while I waited. Sure I could’ve went somewhere that was cheaper but I don’t mind the prices since I never felt like I wasn’t being deceived.
      Unfortunately I live about an hour away now and drive a new car with warranty, but I still have my eye on a few classic cars and if I ever pull the trigger I’d have no second thoughts about letting foreign exchange work on them.

      I'm Telling you with the up most honest to goodness truth. This is an untrustworthy place to bring your vehicle. So many people like myself have taken their vehicle for an inspection to find out they owe way to much money. When you could have used that towards fixing the car. As well as. Initially Guessing what the issue might be to start and if that doesn't fix the issue then you pay for an additional guess on what might be the issue. While during the process potentially causing further damage due to all of the guessing and then not knowing strat up what the problem is. Their diagnosis are just guesses. Hmmm let's start with this and if this doesn't do it let's go with this ... Oohhh man that didn't do still well let's try another guess on what it could potentially be. Hmmm. I could pay some dude off the street with a hot meal to do a better job than that. Better I could watch a you tube video and find out more than they can figure out. Bottom line if you want to loose out on tons of money and still not get any solutions then this is the place. I highly recommend just going to the dealership the first time. And I do mean highly recommend the dealership over guessing games and tons of overcharging lies and excuses. Read all the other bad reviews they didn't write them for no reason.

      Mr. E********, we are sorry that you are unhappy with your experience with us. When you originally brought your car to us, you requested that we diagnose your vehicle as well as complete a full inspection. We were not guessing about what needed to be done. We gave you a price for that work, you approved it, and that is what you were charged when you picked up the vehicle. You also requested estimates for the issues we found. Unfortunately, as you saw in the estimates, there were extensive issues that are expensive to repair. We know that can be difficult news to hear, and we're sorry for your disappointment.
