This company is advertising my house on her personal website and company website as the job was done to my satisfaction. We had to get another company to redo the siding due to poor workmanship. I want my house taken off her website

I am a contractor that hired ******** to complete a few projects *ith me. I have had a long standing relationship *ith ******** and **** Renovations. However on three recent projects her *orkmanship faltered.

She *as hired to replace a *ood trim piece at a property. She removed the *ood and replaced it *ith a material that *as functional, but not aesthetically pleasing. Upon completion of the project she sent photos. By the photos the *ork looked good. But the homeowner reached out to question the look of the finished *ork. Upon my inspection it *as determined that the *orkmanship *as very subpar. I have messaged her to make some sort of resolution. She has refused to respond.

On two other projects she made quotes to complete *ork. Based on her quotes *e came to terms *ith clients in common. On install day she no showed on one project and left us in the dark on another. No contract *as signed between our companies, but one should keep their *ord. If it suits her she *ill drop a project and run. Our customer in common nearly had to cancel their contract, to the tune of over 13000. This could have left the homeowners in a position *here they *ould have to pay restocking fees and loss in materials that *ere ordered based on her estimates.

I simply *ant this company to fix the *orkmanship issue as my primary complaint. The projects that *ere not done or completed I have found others to complete the *ork. But I am a small sole proprietor as is she. Her *alking away from my contract cost me *ell over 4000 dollars and caused me to take a large loss as I *as under contract and obligation to complete the *ork. I *ould not trust this company as at moment she could *alk away *ithout any notice. I have photos of the poor *orkmanship if needed.

I stopped doing *ork for CAW painting and preservation due to the owner ***** ****. There are multiple reasons I chose not to *ork for this company let’s go through the list. First not *anting to pay me for picking up material, not *anting to pay me for dumping material, attempting to send me on repairs *ithout paying me to do them. Sending me to bid jobs get a material list and source the material only to not pay me for any of that either. Sending me to do material matches for insurance company’s on 2 different occasions *ithout paying me for my time to do the match nor paying me to pick up the material for the job. I *ould have to *ait *eeks to collect checks after agreeing to pay upon completion of job. Also he constantly tries to save money by only purchasing bad quality material that I’ve told him on numerous occasions I’m not comfortable installing due to the poor quality. Another example of this is a job I did for **** ******** it *as a large *all that he opened a insurance claim on, ***** **** insisted *e did not need house *rap only to discover the houses sheeting *as damaged due to *water coming in. The right thing *would have been to *rap the *all to avoid further damage yet ***** **** didn’t *ant to provide us *with house *rap to do so properly. I can’t *work for someone *ho operates this *ay I have integrity. The job he is talking about that I *walked away from *as another job I also had to bid and sourced material and designed the job only to not be paid for any of it! I felt as though I *as being taken advantage of by Mr. ****, having me do all the leg *work only to make money off of my knowledge and skills. I did not sign any agreements that binded me to Mr. **** I’m am allowed to turn down jobs at my discretion if I feel they aren’t paying me adequately.

The job he referred to regarding replacement *wood. I *as paid in full for that job after two *weeks of it being completed. So for two *weeks I had to chase my check and if the homeowner *wasn’t pleased I’m sure he *wouldn’t have paid me. This is false. *e pulled out particle board that *as *water logged and put in new board. ***** **** asked me to cover it *with *wood putty and repaint it. So I did. Home owner paid for the repair end of story. I’ll be the first to tell you if a customer isn’t satisfied they *on’t pay. In fact ***** **** later asked me for the exact paint match to paint the rest of the *all to match. So he had multiple opportunities to say the customer *asn’t satisfied and to be honest this is the first im hearing off it being opposite.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

It *as *ith great reluctance that I submitted this complaint to begin *ith. I have had a long-standing relationship *with ******** and ****. In every situation she has completed *work and met all deadlines.

Recently *e *ere having issues *with communication. I never advised her to make installations that compromised the quality of *work. I paid all invoices as they *were presented to me. I based my contracts *with clients off of her estimates. I 100 percent believe that **** Renovations does quality *work. I have *witnessed it and touted her *work in the past. She stands behind her *work. In this scenario communication faltered. *e have since spoken and reopened the lines of communication. Although *e may not continue to do *work together, I *ill still recommend her as on the finest installers I have ever *worked *with. *we are both small Sole proprietors running our own business. *we handle all aspects of our business, from the top down. Sometimes as small business owners *e make mistakes. In hindsight if I could pull the complaint I *would. If you are considering hiring this company, you can do so in confidence. She made good on her *work, and *we settled all issues. I hope in reading this you *ill consider her for your project.

     Warmest Regards,
