Just overnight, May 26th into May 27th, copper.net just quit. I could not get any emails, and went to the website, which says is no longer available. You call their number, says no longer in service, Email them and it bounces back. This was not a free email. We've paid $5 for years. Every email that we need for doctors, tickets, reservations, is with them. Now we cannot access or receive any emails. Trying to change emails with other businesses and it wants to send a code to the copper.net email that just QUIT! I don't know what to do. This should be illegal and is very harmful to many people. I don't know where to start!Initial Complaint

The company discontinued their dial up internet service, but gave their customers the option to keep and continue their email address for a fee of $5.00 per month. I have tried multiple times to contact the company ( telephone and email) but no response for months. I would like to gain access to my copper.net email account for one month only to retrieve several photographs that were emailed to me, which have great sentimental value. I have noticed that the only people who get an answer from this company are people who have filed complaints with the BBB. So here I am. ( I was a customer for over 20 years.)Initial Complaint

I have been trying to contact Copper.net billing since they changed their policy to hold on to my email account for $5 or $59 a year. It has gone from $10 a year to $28 a year to last time I paid $38. I desperately need to hold on to my ***************** email because it has been my Apple ID for over 27 years.
I have called their number once a week since February begging someone to call me back so I can update my billing. None of their links or email address work for billing or support they provide.
Since I have been calling and leaving my info my email has been hacked and I have been getting threatening messages saying If I dont pay a bitcoin ****** they will be sending **** videos of me to all of my contacts. It even had my current password listed on the threatening email.
Jokes on them no one wants to see me in videos like that.
I was able to change my password but I wonder if this has come from whoever never returns the calls on the number they provide in their site.

My email account at copper.net has been stolen, I have been trying to get in contact with Copper. Net for over a week now, have left messages to their support line, no responses, I have emailed their support group, no responses, I have tried Messenger as well with no response. I am wondering if they are still in business. My email was stolen, the password was changed, the security answers have been changed so I cannot reset my password. This individual also must have forwarded all my new email to a different address. They have also contacted most if not all of my mail contact list asking for gift cards for a sick relative, I know a true scam! I need to get my email account access restored so I can go on with my work. ****************** is my account name. Would like to actually talk to someone to get this resolved.Initial Complaint

First off my PC had to be reloaded with Windows. This took out my email which Copper.net provides (ISPMonsters.com, P.O. *******************************) and the company this complaint is on/about. I've been trying to contact them ever since Monday 08/26/2024 at **************. This is the number posted on their website at ******************************. It is very important that they contact me as I'm a disabled veteran and I received contact from the ***********, order my medications via email, and schedule medical appointments via email. I have left numerous messages throughout the days and weeks without any responses or call backs. All I request is my password, very simple and I also need to update my account payment method. I've been with Copper.Net for over 20-years. I'm starting to think maybe they've gone out of business.Initial Complaint

Copper.net has blocked emails and refuses to respond to messages. I have paid thru October 2024. ***************** is connected to copper.net. I have left messages at RevLocal no response.this has been going on since July 2024. I'm leaving messages, nothing. I'm not the only one having this issue. I'm 83 and this may be elder abuse and needs to be a class law action suit. I never saw my case logged on this site, my complaint now would be against officers of this company. Subject: RE: Important Update: Changes to Your Copper.net Membership
I have been a subscriber since 2007.
Currently, I only have 2 emails for which I pay 29.95 each annually.
I highlighted text in your message. My question is for $5 a month, is that for both or each?
I also pay 59.90 annually. Will I still be able to pay annually? My renewal date is 7/29/24.
Thanks
******* Goode

Subject: Important Update: Changes to Your Copper.net Membership
Hi *******,
We value your long-standing support, and we want to keep you informed about some upcoming changes to our services. Effective February 6th, we will be changing to a new billing system, as well as shifting our services to email-only. We understand that this may come as a significant change, and we want to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
What does this mean for you?
If you have been using our Dialup services or anything outside of email, we regret to inform you that this service will no longer be available. However, we have a solution that will allow you to retain your email address and continue your association with Copper.net.
Option 1: Keep Your Email
You can keep your email address(es) associated with your account for a monthly fee of $5. This will ensure you maintain your email service, and all your important communications remain uninterrupted. Your billing will automatically transfer; Your card/e-check will be charged the day after your current billing period ends, unless you choose to cancel.
Option 2: Cancel Your Membership
If, for any reason, you wish to discontinue your Copper.net services, you can do so by responding to this email or calling our support number and stating your intention to cancel. Your membership will be terminated, and you will not be charged further.
We understand that any change can raise questions, and we are here to assist you throughout this process. Should you have any inquiries or concerns regarding this transition or any other matters related to your membership, please feel free to contact our support team at support@copper,net or ###-###-####.
