I had an over payment of $120. After contacting them several times they first said they would send a check. This occurred twice. The third time they said they would return it to my card within days. This also never occurred. This has been ongoing since June. Thank you for your time.Initial Complaint

On May 20, 2023, I went to the CareFirst Urgent Care facility in ****** **** and the facility misdiagnosed my symptoms. Due to the Doctor's Office closure for the weekend, I was attempted to get care from this facility for an illness I was experiencing for a several days. Upon my visit, I listed all of my symptoms for the nurse assistance and the NP. Neither employee took my vitals or checked the areas where I was having symptoms. Neither the NA and NP asked relevant questions, explained all my test options, nor did they share what is required to test for certain conditions, and they did not explain what test would be ran that day. After providing a urine sample, I left. On May 11, 2023, the facilities manager calls me and tells me a diagnosis that I'd later learn is completely incorrect and proceeds to prescribe me medication for this misdiagnosis. At that time, I mention additional symptoms I was experiencing that was not in her misdiagnosis. She proceeded to prescribe medication over the phone without examination or testing. I later found out that she completely told me the wrong diagnosis. I had to force the facility to print off the test tests so that I could validate the truth of the diagnosis. In the end, the facility did not properly examine me, run proper tests, nor did they properly diagnosis my symptoms. I had to go to my PCP to get blood testing done to get the proper diagnosis and treatment options. I've paid had to pay for a lab bill incurred at CareFirst that didn't include all of the proper testing. Not to mention the hurtful miscommunication by the facility manager of the diagnosis that I've had with my family as a result of the negligence and competence of this facility. Despite trying to speak with customer service with their HQ, they have not reached to me to make this right. If anything, it feels like they've tried to put all the cost inside a lab bill to avoid having to address the malpractice of this facility and incompetent employees.Initial Complaint

I went to Carefirst urgent care in ********** ** because I was desperate and in severe pain. I didn’t want to travel to the ********** ** which is where I’m normally seen because I was in too much pain.
I had mentioned a couple times that I am a disabled veteran and I just found out that this location is ** approved. And they never took this information down and I’m stuck with a $120 bill that I was told would need to be paid in 3 days and would automatically be taken out. I have yet to see a bill from them or my insurance.
I was forced to sign this contract about billing or I wouldn’t be seen. I was desperate and in a lot of pain. The front desk staff said I had to sign it to be seen.
I’d like my bill to see the accuracy. I’m also questioning the legality of forcing patients to sign this billing contract or they won’t be seen. Denying medical care to patients over this is the incredibly questionable, I also felt like no one in the urgent care listened to me and just wanted me out of there.
As I mentioned I’m also a disabled vet. Total and permanent.Initial Complaint

I made a visit to this urgent care 3/15/2023. I was satisfied with the care received, provided my insurance card and a $25.00 payment at time of visit. I then received a credit card charge of $250.00 in the beginning of April for the visit after my insurance claim was denied. After correspondence with my insurance carrier and the urgent care billing department, it was determined that my insurance claim was not submitted to my insurance company correctly by the urgent care. Following multiple phone correspondence and much personal time spent, the issue was resolved. The urgent care billing department has received payment, in full, from my health insurance, with no patient responsibility. The billing department received the EOB from my insurance company 5/22/2023, and payment in full 5/26/2023 (according to the administrator of my insurance). My mother has spoken on my behalf to the billing department on 5/1 to resolve the issue, again on Wednesday 5/31 and was told I would receive refund in 1 week. I called again on Friday 6/9 when refund was not received. Tina in your billing department now states that my refund has not been processed and cannot provide information on when my refund will be processed and mailed.
At this point, I am losing hope that I will ever receive my refund of $275.00. I would appreciate any assistance with the resolution of this issue. The number on my account is *******.Initial Complaint

Was seen in Fairborn office, filled out necessary paperwork with my desired pharmacy...prescriptions were sent to another pharmacy. Then I spent $75 to be seen by a doctor that did not do a throughal exam by looking in my throat, orlisten to my lungs but told me I had a sinus infection...I waited all day to get meds transferred to the CORRECT pharmacy and had to turn around a couple days later and follow up with my family doctor to be told I had BRONCHITIS!!! I was told I would receive a refund but NEVER RECEIVED IT!! Do not recommend!!Initial Complaint

On 12/31/22, I went to Urgent Care for a medical visit. The cost of my visit was $50, which I have no complaints about. However, I was charged $50 twice.
I spoke to the receptionist when this occurred and I was advised to come in a few days later, as they said they didn't see the charge on their side. They did however mention that this wasn't an uncommon issue.
I followed up a few days later and was told to escalate it to their billing department. I have spoke with urgent care's billing department over 10 times over 3 months since then with nearly all communications being over email, and each response I get is that they'll escalate it for someone to review, and then no response until I contact them again.
It sounds like based on their own info that this issue is common, and the fact they haven't resolved it yet falls seems deceptive and abusive. It makes me worried that this is impacting other users too and they're failing to address it for the sake of financial gain.
This payment was on my credit card and it has been accruing interest due to not being refunded for the double charge yet. I would like the payment to be refunded with interest also considered.Initial Complaint

I ******* ****** the care first urgent Care in Loveland Ohio 10582 Loveland Madeira rd Loveland Ohio 45140 for knee pain caused by arthritis. I had visited this place two and a half weeks prior and they gave me a steroid shot and wrote prescriptions to ******** pharmacy for three prescriptions one was muscle relaxer one was a cream and the other was for steroid packet pills. I went to the pharmacy at Krogers to pick up my prescriptions and they only gave me two prescriptions and said that's all that they had for me that there was no other prescriptions called in. After 3 days the swelling came back in my knee and the pain and I went back to the urgent Care to talk to the doctor because I thought she said she called in a packet of steroid, and she said she did so Kroger's and her the doctor it was a female doctor talked to each other on the phone in Kroger's seeing that they mistakenly erased the one prescription so between the shot and the steroid packets pills to heal my knee was interrupted for three to four days. At that time the doctor said I could pay for another visit get another shot and she would prescribe the steroid packet of pills so be consecutively done in order for my need heal, mind you that I have no insurance so the first visit was $115 so I was told to come back I have to pay another hundred and $15 Plus pay for the prescriptions at the pharmacy. I went back after saving up some money so I could get the shot and the prescription again on Thursday 11:10 2022 but it was the female doctor day off so there was a male doctor that see me instead. He said he would not give me a steroid shot you were not prescribed any steroids packets to me he said just go see an orthopedics this is after I paid my money and I said I paid $100 for nothing, and he said that's the gamble you take when you come here. And I proceeded to say I did not come to casino to gamble I came to a doctor to be helped and then I had to even ask him to look at my knee cuz didn't look at knee
