I went to ***** *** place of business to get a plan in place for a tiny home and dog kennel. He was very nice and walked us through another tiny home he was building. Answered all my question. Was very adamant about the money...he wanted it right then and there. I came up with the money and went back signed paperwork with ***** and *****- his secretary. I needed the tiny home to be finished by Aug. ***** informed me he could possibly have it done by June. I went there in June and the building wasn't even started...***** wasn't at work but ***** was. She stated their crew is in Michigan building a pole barn and once they come back mine would be started. Today Aug 7 2024 I go to the warehouse and nothing has been started no one is there and the office was cleared out. I just want my money back. I have a family that the money could benefit since I'm not getting my tiny home/dog kennel. Please if you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

On December 18th I contacted which at the time was Bears Outdoor structures, since then have changed the name to United Log Homes there again have become obselete, to make a long story short I went to my bank and wore transfered them $30,000 on a home that at the time wanted to purchase and it was a 11×34 for 44,000 which left me owing a balance of $14,000 upon delivery, which they told me would be 6 to 8 weeks, well i ran into a problem finding land and also having spousal issues, so I had.to switch up to a trailered home instead so it would be mobile when it became ready and I could park it somewhere until I found land. With the problems I was having personal and financially I asked if I could just get my money back and would understand that I would be penalized and that I understood of o had to pay a percentage if need be. That went sour real quick and their offering me a 8×28 for $35,000 and they want the 5,000 of the=$30,000 to even start building. I'm very dissatisfied with this company and just want my money back especially after seeing that the owner HAS had several lawsuits against him.....Please help

We contracted Bear’s Outdoor Structures, LLC 113 West Airport Highway, Swanton, OH 43558, phone 419-438-3130, for a deck build in August 2023. On Nov 1, we had to ask when it would be started, and shortly after it was underway.  Some items needed clarification, and we discussed those, some things that were completed, were not what was discussed.  There was minimal work on weather-permitting days from the start.
By Nov 21, we had not seen our contractor, who works for the owner, and were told they were waiting on decking boards, they reported they were damaged, and then re-ordered.  Promises on coming out were followed with a text of boards not delivered, weather, etc., etc.  This is when we began to have major problems. The composite deck boards that were cut and placed, were all scratched up we asked for new replacement boards, and that has been minimal, some have arrived, but not enough to replace those damaged- but they have most of our money.  When confronted with these flaws in the boards, the builder's attitude changed, we don’t see the builder or materials to fix the issues. We asked for a time to meet to go over these things, and we didn't get a response.
After research we found that this business no longer exists, they now call themselves United Log Homes, L902 St Rt 108, Napoleon, OH 43545, and have a new phone number of 419-906-8765.  Once we read BBB reviews on this company it directly led us to this info.  It also disclosed to us the owner's criminal record of fraud for taking money and not completing the projects and is prohibited from taking monetary deposits. All of these posts, and the name change occurred about the time we signed with them and had our issues of no-shows/damaged/left-over materials etc. etc.
So here it is, March 18, 2024, and we still aren’t complete, and now we can’t get a reply to find an in-person time to discuss what needs to be done to complete/remedy this project/situation.  We cannot get a hold of the owner, nor the point of contact who worked on our deck throughout the build. I want an in-person meeting and enough materials at my house to fix those boards that are damaged to make this right.
I encourage you to do your research, they hid themselves but are easy to find just look up United Log Homes, and it will link you up to their old business and all their dirty laundry.
