  Used to be called **** Custom Decking. Gave owner ***** May $28,000 for a deck project that started June 4th 2024. Project is half done and theyve never been back. Phone number given was disconnected. No response from anyone on emails. Looks like theyve been scamming for a while now and we got hit too.

  I could not help but notice how quickly you picked up on "United Log Homes". They are actually "Bears Outdoor Structures" and they just changed their name 3 days ago. They were Better Business Bureau accredited, but got their accreditation removed a couple days ago becaue it was discovered that the owner was charged with multiple felonies for theft in 2021 and is on current probation under the court where he is PROHIBITED from taking monetary deposits from individuals. It was theft in which is paying court ordered restitution to multiple individuals who they took large deposits from, then went *** and never completed work or returned money. This all available under public records, and I share the links with you. Once they were discovered, they changed the name of the their ******** page (scroll far enough down through the post and you will see reference to their "Bear's Outdoor Structures" naem on the ads they have previously posted and in the comments. They removed the website from ******** so people could not look them up and figure out who they were, and they also changed their address. Put the new address it and it will not show it registered as a business address. They are criminal in a ponzy scheme. Here are the link to all the information so you can see for yourself.   Please exercise caution and do your research when doing business with this company. Per the owner's active court ordered community sanctions, the owner of this company is currently forbidden to except monetary deposits for any work not fully completed. If you do choose to do business with this company, consider this prior to paying any down payment. Paulding county court of common pleas in **** is where the active records reside. Do a record search by the owners name. This is not an unfortunate isolated incident as others are claiming. There is a history of court records available for review, that document a pattern of taking deposits and not finishing work (owner has records in other counties as well). Restitution is currently being paid to multiple individuals for the felony charged that spanned over time, not one isolated incident. The records are public and available for consumer review though a record search by the owners name.The caution here is not to tell you whether or not to do business with this company, but rather educate yourself on who you are doing business with and reconsider offering any upfront monetary deposits in order to protect your assets. We have since received communication from multiple individuals who have paid money to this company and are experiencing challenges.It is easy to get a handful of family and friends to write "good reviews" to help your ratings, it is harder to get someone to write an honest negative review that will help consumers to be able to make informed decisions. That is my intent in writing this review.

  I advise anyone considering doing business with this company to do your research! The owner of the company is a convicted felon, who as of today, is on community control sanctions (probation) regarding his business dealings. Of note, the owner listed on the BBB website is NOT the owner. Per the company website, the owner is ***************We signed a contract in July of 2023 that included completion of a 60 x ****************************** ~4 weeks. They required 80% down from us and we paid $61,000 on July 22nd to the company. Sparing all details, this is the summary of our experiences:Minimal communication from the company. Reached out many times for updates and were given excuses. Requested calls with the company and never contacted us via telephone, only communication was by text message/email - per their request. Very rude responses. The excuses provided started to contradict themselves, and it became clear that they were being dishonest with us. Started doing our own research with zoning offices and suppliers that validated we were being lied to. Reached out to our attorney for advice who informed us that the owner had a history in the court system, incurring current litigation in Wood County, and to end our contract immediately. Terminated contract on Nov 6th. Researched public records from Paulding County Common Pleas court and found the owner's felony theft conviction in 2021, and current community control sanctions (probation) forbidding him to accept any monetary deposits for work not performed. Felony included accepting money from multiple people and not completing the work and not returning payment. We reached out to Paulding County courts, reported the probation violation regarding accepting deposits, and were put in contact with the Business Owners Probation Officer to assist in the matter. Please, do your research on this company before you sign your contract so you can make an informed decision and avoid going through what we did.

  ******, The owner of this company has zero customer service skills and has already been sued once this year and is about to find himself in a second. Delivered a shed that was missing the outside pieces still, the shed leaked, inside wasn't finished as he offered for other issues we had during production, he attempted to overcharge the product from the quoted price. Worst experience I've ever had dealing with a Company. Buyer beware, this man will take your money, ruin your purchase, and then try to squeeze more out of you. The Owner is on probation for felony theft (you can look it up on Paulding County Common Please) This guy has tried to rob us, threatened us, when all we wanted was a COMPLETE shed and the contract drawn up for the shed we ordered, and not the one he decided to put on the contract. This is literally the nightmare place you hear about but think doesn't exist and wouldn't happen to you. Search other companies. ****** his reviews, ****** his background. This is not where you want to put your money.
