      They did a repair due to the car missing. They said they could fix it for $1,500. I ask if that included everything out the door. They said , "yes" . But when I picked it up they charged me $1791.00.
      I paid the $1791 & want a refund of the difference they promised me $1,500. Refund $291.00

      We had already discounted his repair by $400.00. He did authorize the additional charges as a result of it being a 22 year old vehicle with many broken/rusted bolts. When he picked it up he already had the check pre written for the amount he paid so obviously he know the total prior coming to get the vehicle. There is nothing else we are going to do.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      I had a verbal conversation with the service department before the work was done.  I was told the work would be $1500.00 to fix the issue.  If there was a chance of the bolts and nuts breaking, and the cost changing due to this, I should have been told.  When they called and told me the cost was different because they broke bolts etc., I was told that they would work with me because of the original quote.  I don't believe I should be held responsible for them breaking bolts and nuts.  I had a check made out for the total so I could get my car, not because I accepted the change in the cost.  I had an argument with the person that called and told me the car was ready and how much it was.

      We cannot control if or when bolts will break on a vehicle this old. We already "helped him out" by discounting the repair significantly.

      There is nothing else we can do. Please remember, as estimate is just that, an estimate.
