Our apologies to the consumer for having experienced these quality issues with her ProVia doors. ***** ******** contacted our ProVia Customer Service as well on 7/3/23 and we do have new hardware on order for her storm door. Our account manager contacted her on 7/3/23 to discuss the issue. He is scheduled to visit her home this afternoon along with the dealer who sold her the product so they can inspect the doors and work toward a resolution.Review fromSabine W

There is a warranty issue I am currently experiencing with Provia.. I have followed the proper channels to resolve this matter directly with the manufacturer, and ********* Hardware where the door was purchased but unfortunately, I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory resolution.
We purchased a home about 6 yrs ago with a Provia front door and sidelights. In March 2023 we noticed that the clear coat was peeling off is a few places on the outside of the door. I called Provia directly and let them know what is going on and to see if it was under warranty. Helen at Provia asked me to contact ********* hardware, where the door was purchased and share pictures with them and they would contact Provia. So this is what I did. ********* hardware told us the door was purchased in 2010 and Provia has a 10 year warranty but that they now offer a 15 year warranty because there were issues with the clear coating. So I was hopeful something could be done. On Provia’s website it states the warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of 15 years. Technically I should still have warranty on the door if it’s 15 years.
I called today to speak with customer service and was transferred to Allison. She was helpful at all. She said that since the door was purchased in 2010 that warranty at the time was 10 years and not 15 years. I asked her if they know there was an issue with the clear coat why doesnt this fall under warranty if they are advertising that the warranty is 15 year? All she kept saying was “Unfortunately I can’t help you”, I asked if they could recommend people to come out and repair the issue at my cost and she replied “Unfortunately I can’t help you”. I said when the door was purchased it cost $6,500 and I would have thought that Provia could offer some kind of help. She said “Well you are the 2nd homeowner”. Not really sure what she was implying by saying that but regardless they should offer other solutions to their customers.ProVia

We do recognize the apparent frustration expressed by ****** **** in this Review. The statements made by ProVia's Customer Service Reps are accurate as relating to the warranty issued at the time of the purchase by the homeowner at that time. The entry door unit in question was manufactured, delivered, and installed in November 2010. The warranty issued with this unit had a 10-year finish warranty. This information was relayed to the dealer, ********* Hardware as well as ****** ****. The entry door warranty issued with the entry door products purchased currently have a 15-year finish warranty due to improved finishing products developed by our vendors over the years. Current warranties do not revert to cover products manufactured in the past. Also, the statement referencing the second homeowner is referencing the warranty section titled Transferable Warranty. This warranty was/is transferable however it doesn't play any type of a role in the 10-year finish warranty. The original terms of the warranty remain intact. ProVia fully stands behind all warranties issued with the products when manufactured. We do extend our apologies for not taking the additional step of checking with management to pursue additional options for ****** ****. Today, we reached out to ********* Hardware and extended an offer of assistance to be passed along to ****** **** to provide them with an option on how they would like to proceed.Review fromTrevor M

We apologize for the issues the original French Door unit had. Some quality issues were identified, and a new unit was ordered and installed. This one had lockset prep issues, so a new active slab was reordered. Our records indicate Warranty Service notified consumers when reordered that a service call would be made in 3 - 4 weeks. This was on April 28. Reorder was manufactured and a service call was scheduled for May 30. This review was filed on May 29 (Memorial Day) and the service occurred the following day as scheduled.Review fromMark B

$12,000 for a door that the screen opens on the side and allows bugs in , hinges on the door are not color mathching and overall quality of the door looks cheap. Not to mention the ****** who installed the door measured incorrectly and took 3 addtional months to replace with the correct size and when I showed them the screen gaps , they said this was provia's issue to fix . Never again will I use provia or ****** . Now I am stuck with the crap until I can afford to fix . I advise all to run away if someone tells you they are using proviaProVia
Date: 05/24/2023
First, clarification on what the $12,000 covered. The order consisted of a top-of-the-line fiberglass entry door, 2 fiberglass sidelites, a rectangular transom over all 3 units, and a storm door. The storm door is the unit the review is about since it's the one with a screen. The storm door is ProVia's Spectrum full view model which has 2 sash and retractable screens in the door. The retractable screens are attached to the sash so when the sash are opened/closed the screens fill the opening or retract onto the tensioned roller. The sides of the screen travel inside the sash track however there is no frame along the sides of the screen mesh to prevent it from coming out when force is applied directly to the screen. Screen wouldn't retract if it had a frame. As for the incorrect sizing and non-color matched hinge, these items are determined between the dealer's sales personnel and the consumer. As the manufacturer, ProVia made exactly what was ordered and we stand behind the quality of the products and the warranties issued completely. Consumer is welcome to work back through ******, who in turn can work with ProVia to have the storm door model changed out if desired. There will be some minimal costs involved but that option always exists.Review fromJan M

I ordered three custom entry door through my Provia vendor. When the doors were delivered in October 2022, the aluminum jamb wrap was not the correct size. I contacted my vendor and was advised to install the doors and see if they will work. I already knew they would not fit so after installing the doors, I again contacted my vendor and they contacted Provia. Provia requested photos, which I took and sent to my vendor. The vendor contacted Provia and after about 5 weeks Provia provided replacement aluminum. The replacement aluminum was no different from the original aluminum. I again took photos of the oversize aluminum and photos showing the dimension of the jambs and brick mould. I again forwarded the photos to my vendor. After another 5-6 weeks, Provia sent replacement aluminum pcs. As before the replacement pcs were not even close to what was required. I again sent photos with dimensions to my vendor to forward to Provia. Again, after about 5-6 weeks Provia sent replacement aluminum. Again for the fourth time they sent the wrong material. I contacted my vendor and they contacted Provia. Provia replied with the statement that they were no longer going to replace the aluminum. I asked my vendor to see if they would send me replacement brick moulding (6pcs) and flat rolled aluminum and I would swap out the brick mould and bend the aluminum to fit myself. Well weeks later Provia sent one box of coils stock, two pcs of brick mould and pre-formed brick mould wrap, which I did not need. I now have 14 boxes of unusable arts for these three doors. At this point, I contacted Provia directly and after a heated discussion, they agreed to send the brick mould. I finally received the brick mould and when I went to install it, it was the wrong size. On another note, the thresholds for the custom doors are not the correct size so that the weather seal on the bottom of the new storm doors will not work.ProVia

ProVia's Quality and Customer Service personnel did extensive research on this job from the original through the subsequent reorders of aluminum cladding. First, our apologies to the consumer who filed this Review for numerous reorders without getting it correct initially. Through our entries into our system, all of them were correct but we're unable to verify exactly what was pulled and bent in the manufacture of this cladding. We acknowledge the fact these were our errors and we could've done a better job of gathering details ahead of simply continual reorders of the cladding. We do take responsibility for the cladding not being correct from the original through the numerous reorders.Review fromDiane O

This unit so kindly referred to is a Heritage fiberglass French door set manufactured and delivered in June 2020. Received request from ProVia's Account Manager to send a thicker weather stripping in April 2021. We haven't received any feedback from consumer or dealer about any ongoing issues. ProVia will contact the dealer to get an update of what's transpiring and then see what is required to attain complete resolution to the satisfaction of Reviewer.M. C.

After 40 years working in the trade as a electrician I am retired, i now have a woodworking shop and make furniture/ cabinets .When temp get to 20 degree the aluminum strip down the right door get ice on it. The door is installed in a basement walkout. When the temp goes down from 20 degree the right door warps to the inside making a gap at the bottom of door . Your contractor said the foundation was lifting causing the problem . After this for an answer to the problems i have lost all hope and faith in the contractor so i gave up . Every time in the winter i go by the door and see ice on the door and the other day temp want down to 13 degrees and could see outside at the bottom of door. This prompted me to send a EMAIL to BBB . If you have a factory representative in St. Louis i would be happy to meet with them and discuss this issue.M. C.

Update on door. Last night (3/17/23) the outside temps went down to 20 degrees, Currently the temperature is 23 degrees. There is water on the aluminum strip on the door. The humidity in the house is 44%. Our builders grade window that is nearby does NOT have any water on it.
Both the local factory rep and dealer originally saw the right hand door with ice on it and you could see daylight between the two doors at the bottom. As I stated previously the dealer stated that the foundation was limiting. That is not true. I have lost all faith in the dealer. Now the local factory rep wants to see the door again in that condition. That does not happen until it gets into the single digits at night. So now we have to wait until next winter to see that happen.M. C.

Here we are., at this time of the year when it gets colder. My door is still doing the same thing, the aluminum strip is has ice on it and the door has also bowed. The video shows the outside temperature and the door. This is not the first time for this to happen. At this point I don’t want a new door with the aluminum strip on it because it will do the same thing. Anything below 20 degrees we have this issue. If Provia has a cold weather door similar to the French door style like we have, we would be interestedM. C.

Bought ProVia entry doors for my sunroom addition. Both doors leaked extensively at the threshold. Blamed on contractor ( very good experienced, installed hundreds of doors successfully). Sent factory rep to check and re- installed, still both leaked. Their solution was to tear out and replace frames (after woodwork all installed and painted. We decided to install storm doors with no help offered by ProVia (they have storm doors).
This is an expensive junk product from a company that blames everyone else and takes no responsibility.
DO NOT buy these doors.
I am a civil professional engineer in multiple states and have experience working with suppliers and this is not a company you want to use.ProVia

Order in question was shipped from ProVia on 12/14/20. Received call from Mr. ****** on 6/14/21 regarding leaking through thresholds of both doors. Initial determination was we missed a couple of gaskets on the units. These were sent out overnight delivery. Received another call on 6/21/21 that the recommended fix didn't work. Components were resent for both doors. Account Manager was notified on 7/8/21 the services did work and problem resolved. 7/16/21 Mr. ****** called in again stating one door was leaking again. Account Manager contacted them and offered to have frames reordered. They refused tp allow frames to be reordered and insisted they were adding storm doors on both of these units. They were undecided if they were choosing ProVia's storm doors or a competitor's. This was the last recorded communication from distributor, contractor or Mr. ******. Now a year and half later this Review is posted. ProVia will be contacting Mr. ****** to determine the exact nature of what is transpiring and what resolution he's looking for. ProVia wants to resolve this in full.ProVia

I ordered windows and doors nearly 1 year ago (February 2022). Was told 12-14 weeks due to two tone color selection. 23 weeks later (in July 2022) most the windows and doors were installed. The front door and patio door/windows arrived the wrong size and 1 window arrived with broken glass. I was told that the replacements would be rebuilt as a "reorder" due to error and would be much faster than the original order. I am now an additional 26 weeks with no ETA on my front door, patio door/windows, and broken window glass replacement.
I've reached out to the distributor/installer multiple times and I've even reached out to ProVia directly. ProVia rep promised to "look into it and return my call" and I never heard from the again. This whole process has been a complete disappointment and disaster. I absolutely 100% DO NOT recommend ProVia.ProVia

We do apologize for the delays on this order for ******* ******. Here is the detail we have on record related to both orders.
Entry doors - Initial order for the entry doors was received on 2/18/22 and was manufactured and delivered on 4/18/22 to ProVia's dealer. on 7/21/22 a call was received from Contractor about potentially needing to reorder the door w/14" sidelites at a smaller size w/12" sidelites. On 8/26/22 they did place a reorder with the smaller sized sidelites. The reordered unit was delayed within ProVia's manufacturing process due to failed quality of the skins used to manufactured the sidelites. The vendor struggled to get skins to ProVia which met our quality standards on 12/15/22 we did receive skins which met quality standards, unit was manufactured and shipped out on 1/4/23. Delivery to dealer occurred on 1/11/23.
Windows - Order for the windows was received on 2/18/22. Units were manufactured and shipped on 6/2/22 and delivered to dealer on 6/7/22. Received a call from dealer on 7/21/22 that one shaped window was received with cracked glass. A replacement insulated glass piece was reordered on 7/25/22. Glass unit was completed and shipped out on 9/29/22 and delivered to dealer on 10/3/22. We haven't received any calls or messages on this order since this insulated glass unit shipped from ProVia.Review fromTom T

We placed an order for windows for a sunroom addition in June and were told it would be 20 weeks for our order to arrive. We postponed starting the project to coincide with the delivery. We were ready for the windows at just the right time, but our windows were delayed twice so work halted until they arrived about 5 - 6 weeks later. When they arrived, they were short 1 window. We were told that the glass was broken in one window and would need to be repaired. Another 2 weeks passed and when it did arrive at their warehouse, it is still sitting there waiting to be unloaded. I understand the delays in materials, but you would think the company would make it a priority to get this taken care of after all the delays, but there just seems to be a ho-hum attitude towards everything. I guess you can do that when the demand is high. I have to say that when 1st dealing with the in-house rep, he was very helpful providing me with quick pricing information for the various options I was looking at. I have no clue about the quality of the windows themselves, since the room is sitting with one window not installed. The sliding door seems to work smoothly. This delay causes a major issue with the stucco going forward because of the colder weather, so just another headache.ProVia

First, we want to extend our apologies for the delays you experienced with your order of windows manufactured by ProVia. In order to assist us with identifying the exact nature of what has transpired, would you be able to provide with either ProVia's order number or the name of the dealer you purchased these windows from? We definitely want to assist you in resolving what's transpired.
