  We had work done at my fathers home. He is bed ridden and 3 Purple Heart recipient. The work to be done was a "complete" bathroom remodel roughly $17000. I said I would paint but when I started I found many issues to be addressed. We were told if we buy the lights, sink, toilet, medicine cabinet, and grab bars at our cost; they would be installed for us as well. We were told the sink could not go were we wanted it, after they tried to mount it, leaving dimples in the drywall, from being mudded wrong. The mirror brackets are mounted incorrectly. We fear if we try and fix we will shatter the mirror. The vanity lights were installed where the sink was originally going to go (offset now) and is installed sloppy. They installed the toilet, however it stays running all the time. We are having to turn the water on and off just to use the toilet. They installed the drywall however you can see the seams and places that were not filled in all the way. The shower was not caulked fully allowing water to get behind the wall. The shower head was not the one we talked about. After letting them know we would take care of the flooring, they were going to get us a different shower unit for the difference, but they did not have one I was told, so they used a cheaper one. Every thing they did We will have to have fixed. **** ***** (Senior Sales Rep) will tell you lots of stuff they will do, even after asking for thing to be done. However, in the contract they nicely add "- Arnold's Home Improvement does not honor any verbal conversations". $17000 for a complete bathroom was what we talked about. We got 8 sheets of Drywall, and a shower unit, and some labor. If **** ***** is the sales Rep, I would ask him to leave and not deal with him. This was done to a disabled combat veteran and Senior citizen. All of this was to be covered under the VA SAH grant. **** told me that they work with the VA for us. This was not the case. Biller for the full amount. We are talking to a lawyer

  I do apologize for any inconvenience with your experience you received. Our Project manager and installer returned and addressed all questions and concerns that your father mentioned. Once those repairs were made to your fathers satisfaction the Certificate of completion was signed off by him.
  However if there are any project concerns that you feel that were not addressed please contact our office to begin your warranty claim. Your project is covered under our 5 year warranty. If you have any further issues or concerns please contact our office to move forward with our warranty process.

  What was supposed to be a 1-2 day walk in shower install ended up taking 3-4 days. The day after it was completed we had to call our local plumber because they couldn’t find anyone from Toledo to come and fix the leaks in the wall. The following week when we went to paint our shower ceiling, we found that they didn’t use a paintable caulk and after calling them, they had us go and buy oil based primer and then we had to repaint the ceiling again. This time frame was after the Christmas holiday and they were unable to find anyone to come back down again. The following week, the project manager came down and we showed him the caulking inconsistencies and 2 holes in our flooring due to the torch they had used. In the end, we were given an extra 6 month warranty on the caulking and a reimbursement to pay for us calling our plumber and buying the materials we needed. I feel that the quality of materials they used were high quality and the prep work was also done right. However, the end result of the caulking job was very disappointing. We are having my brother in law come to caulk over the areas that are not as well done as we would’ve expected.

  I would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. It seems like we ran into an issue while installing the bathroom which can cause an unforeseen delay in completion of the project. However, I do not see anything in our system regarding any caulking issues or holes so I am assuming this matter was also resolved as soon as possible with the installer or Project Manager at the time of incident. The homeowner indicated they were given an extended warranty and discounts for their inconvenience. All issues were addressed and handled within a timely manner.
