      I signed a contract with ******************* or great day improvements in November for a deck. The deck has a permit to be obtained per the contract. I was never told the process of obtaining a contract with a permit when the original consultation was done no one told me that I would have to have a survey of my property no one told me the cost of obtaining a survey as well as the proper survey that I would need to obtain the permit they waited 3 months before they even told me that I needed a survey to be obtained for the permit after I received the survey and submitted it they waited three more months before I was told that that wasn't the right survey in the meantime I'm paying on the loan for them to obtain the survey which was over $6,000 for them to do the drawings and stuff which I thought would include the cost of obtaining the permit I have been so stressed out by this process that my physician is seeing me for the stress and the toll is taken on my mental health. In the meantime my home is compromised because my deck is not safe and I have children in my home and I had no idea it would take over a year for them to come out and repair my deck the initial consultation didn't tell me anything about how this process is going otherwise I would not have signed the contract or even gotten alone that I'm already paying off and nothing's been done and they're steady asking me for more money and more money to have plans drawn up that I thought I had already agreed to that in the loan long story short I can show you my contract and my surveys and all the emails that they have sent to me back and forth and also the emails that have been sent to my County permit office but nothing's being done by the Builder can someone please contact me so that I can give the proper information for my complaint like I say this has taken a toll on my health and I'm barely have the strength to even put the complaint in

      Thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the delay with your project. We assure you that we have been working hard to secure your permit and the delay has been out of our hands. According to our records, someone spoke with you today 8/9 to inform you that we will absorb cost and have surveyor scheduled on site between 8/22-8/25 to have certified site survey done to satisfy county for permit. Again we thank you for your patience.

      Sorry I don't want to resolve my complaint until this is over my trust in this situation is none. I appreciate the response from the BBB involvement and would feel better if i could be given a little longer time before I decide to complete my complaint.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I need help with a contractor that's supposed to be building a deck for me it's been more than a year since I have filed a contract with this company and I still don't have a day I have a previous complaint in which I sent an email this morning to see if I can file an additional complaint or receive some kind of information about a lawyer I can obtain that handles these type of situations I have had no success with this company in the past after I signed the contract it's been a whirlwind since then on trying to get anything done is there anyway I can get out of this contract and just pay for services that I haven't even received other than the drawings that they didp

      Great Days was hired to construct a three season patio enclosure. I was told that it would take less than a week once they started the project. It is now 8 months later and they are still working on this. Great Days showed up around 7am on a Friday in December, completely unannounced, to start the concrete work. After creating multiple ruts in the yard from driving their equipment on the extremely wet yard they proceeded to dig a deep trench around the existing patio to put the concrete footers in. Once that was completed, they left for the weekend without covering it. The following Monday they came back with the concrete. Not only did they fill the craters they had created, with concrete they dumped large patches of concrete in my yard and splattered concrete all over my sliding glass door, my bedroom window AND my neighbors windows, screens and siding. I called to complain (the day it happened) and was promised they would clean it once the project was finished. Eight months later I am still waiting. In June I hired a handyman to fix most of my damaged items and my neighbor gave up this month and hired someone. No one will touch the screens and windows for fear of doing greater harm to them. I purchased double pane glass and they tried to install single pane, the doors didn't work correctly and they sold me shingles and put on rolled roofing instead. I have been promised a call from the regional manager since May and am still waiting on that call as well.Most importantly, I would like for my elderly neighbor to be refunded the money she paid her handyman to cleanup the concrete on and around her house, around her sunroom windows and for her windows and screens to be concrete free. I would like a refund for the shingles I purchased. Shingles last around 20 years and rolled roofing is around 5 years. They are NOT the same thing. I would also like a refund for the dirt I purchased to fill in the ruts and reimbursement for the furniture repair.
