We got a mower late May 2024 and by Sept 2024 the engine was blown after <15 hours drivetime. Despite the servicer stating the bolts were over torqued and there was oil in the crankcase, the manufacturer looked at some pictures and said lack of lubrication (which the servicer disagreed with). I have texts going back to May 2024 showing that we had oil in the mower, but the warranty claim was denied stating we did not provide proper maintenance. There are many posts online about this known issue. Do not expect Cub Cadet to stand behind their work or honor their warranties.MTD Products, Inc.

Your equipment came equipped with a minimum 3-year manufacturing warranty, and we do stand behind our products and our warranties. Our authorized service dealers handle all of our warranty claims and adjustments and can work directly with our customer support to fix the problem. As long as one of our dealers says that this was a manufacturing defect and files a warranty claim, we are happy to cover the repair charges. Unfortunately, we are not able to reimburse or replace the equipment unless it is deemed unrepairable due to a manufacturer defect. If you disagree with the assessment of the dealer, you always have the option to take the machine to another service center for a second opinion. Our records indicate that you spoke with one of our customer support advocates on 6/18/2025 and requested a call back from a supervisor. One of our customer support supervisors provided a call back on 6/20/2025 and left a voicemail. If I could leave a zero I would. We have had nothing but problems with our cub cadet zero turn lawnmower. The first one we had I paid $3800 for ******* started blowing black smoke & the oil was going into something, anyway it wasnt our fault. OK so they gave us the same kind of lawnmower, a different one. That one, when my husband was mowing the lawn, the gears went out & he couldnt move it forward or backwards so we took that back. I decided Im gonna upgrade to the $4500.00 zero turn **************** had nothing but problems with that. The wheel blew up on it almost hit my husband in the face. The spindle keeps breaking off. Its been repaired twice. The cover to the spindle broke off because the spindle broke off the second time. We just keep having problem after problem And Ive called & called. It was fixed. They replaced the tire, they fixed the spindle, but the spindle fell off & it was fixed again & it came off again. I dont know if its just defective or what but they keep ignoring me. They keep telling me its all normal ************ Its not ************ Its not even two years old yet ! its under warranty ! Either replace this one with brand new lawnmower that Im not gonna have problems with or refund my full *********** will take my business elsewhere.MTD Products, Inc.

I ordered parts base on the product model number and the *** parts site assure that the parts were correct for my Lawnmower, however the parts were not the correct parts and I paid for shipping from the company and had to pay for shipping back to the company, how **** is that. I would recommend that you do not order parts from this site.MTD Products, Inc.

Ordered parts shipped in 2 days paid for second day delivery that was delayed part was damaged during shipping now they want me to pay for another one while they make me wait for 14 days for my credit. November 6, 2024 Cub Cadet,On March 23, 2023, I purchased a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower, 52 inches, zero turn, steering wheel, model number 17ASGGY2A10, & serial number ************ from ********* Lawn equipment in ***************On or about Monday, October 7, 2024, I was finishing cutting my lawn and preparing to drive my Cub Cadet lawnmower into my garage for storage. I made sure the lawn mower was in the proper gear and ready to proceed forward and the lawn mower did not move. I checked to ensure the lawn mower was in the proper gear and all instruments were in their proper mode and I attempted to move forward again by depressing the pedal. I then attempted to move backwards and depressed the back pedal and no movement. I then attempted to move forward again and the lawnmower slowly began to creep forward also making a high pitch sound as it moved. I moved the lawnmower approximately ten (10) feet to its storage location and shut off the engine. Unsure if something was seriously wrong with the lawnmower I was apprehensive about using it again. On November 5, 2024, I used the lawnmower to cut the grass and initially experienced no movement when engaging the lawn mower to retreat backwards out of the garage from its storage location. After a momentary delay the lawnmower moved backwards. Once out of the garage I depressed the forward pedal to move forward and proceed to cut my lawn and the lawnmower engaged and moved forward. I cut my lawn as normal no other problems with propulsion. My experience with no propulsion on or about October 7, 2024, may have been an aberration as the lawnmower appears to be moving properly since/now. When Cub Cadet responds to this inquiry by saying "Our records indicate that you spoke with one of our Technical Support advocates on 11/6/2024, and they provided some troubleshooting to assist with resolving the problem, as well as advised you of your limited warranty," is disconcerting nor addresses the question I posed in my inquiry; Has Cub Cadet had prior experience with this problem? I hope this problem was due to an anomaly and is not an indication of future experiences because I sense Cub Cadet will not be of any significant help with this expensive piece of landscape equipment.I've had experiences with manufacturers who sell defective or poorly mechanically engineered products who want to sell to the public and not addressing concerns from purchasers when they arise.They start off on top and they quickly lose market share once the market finds out how they operate and do not support their products. Cub Cadet I see why you're not Better Business accredited.MTD Products, Inc.

Purchased a Craftsman riding mower from my local Ace Hardware on 8/16. Picked up the machine, which was still in the shipping crate, on 9/4. Every horizontal surface was covered in rat f**** and urine and the battery was dead. I first used the chat feature on the website to contact someone. It took me three exchanges before I was told that I needed to contact a different department. I was provided with an email address and a phone number. I sent two emails explaining my situation and included my proof of purchase. No one responded. I then called the phone number that was provided and was told to contact the store that I purchased the mower from. When I called ***, they told me that I needed to contact the manufacturer. I make my second phone call to Craftsman and am told to email a different email address and include my documents. That email was sent and, again, no response. I then write a poor review on their website and receive a reply via the review that someone from the company will be contacting me. Nothing. My request with Craftsman was that they either provide me with a new, working battery, or refund me the cost of the battery, or refund me the cost of the mower. It is disappointing to spend so much money on an item, which doesn?t work. It?s not like I can repackage it and send it back. Disappointed in my purchase and with the customer service (or lack or).MTD Products, Inc.

On 6/7/2024 I entered ****** and purchased a WS2200 weedwacker for ******. I used it approximately 2 months then it quit working. I tried some of the troubleshooting tips in the book that came with it, like checking the plug and putting in fresh fuel (40:1) mixture. None of this worked.I telephoned the customer service line and was given two local places I could take my machine to. Pen-Tex Equipment started laughing when I walked in the front door. They said they had so many to repair that I should check back in a month and see if they might be able to look at it then. Then I called Cypress Lawn they said they do not do warranty work for Craftsman any longer.So now I called the customer support again and was given two more places even further from my home, J and J Lawn Mower and ****************** respectively. The first place did not work on handheld machines and the second one did not ever answer and the answering machine did not take messages.So, back to calling the customer support again and they gave me a "LEVEL 2" phone number to call.Well I called that number and they are only there from 8:30 am est - 5:00 pm est. Well, I called back the next day. When the number answered, it went immediately to hold-music. After about 5 minutes, I got a message to choose "3" and put in my zip code for someone close to me to repair it. When I did this it immediately hung up. I tried it twice more with the same result.I have always bought Craftsman tools and such for past 35 years. Never again will I purchase from this company and will tell all my friends/associates not to purchase anything either. I will be telling them my story.MTD Products, Inc.

The customer service and shipping time was a joke. I called customer service after my product hadn't even began shipping after 6 days. I called to cancel my order. Stayed on hold for one hour and twelve minutes only to find out that the first guy I spoke to sent me in the wrong direction. (******)I got the tier two representatives number - (eight four four - three four zero - nine one one eight) and now have been on hold for about thirty minutes now still waiting to try and cancel my order. Spoke to the tier two representative and since the beginning of my call to the time it took to get someone on the phone they found my order, moved the status so that it could not be cancelled. So now it has to be shipped to me and I have to pay to ship it back.MTD Products, Inc.
