9/1/2023-our 17 year old son was friended by a lady named ******* ***** ******** in instagram. She then shared naked photos of herself and encouraged him to do the same, then she tried to blackmail from. She hacked into his IPaddress, then he got scared and googled who to call for help. This company pulled up, but its because she was in his IP address. He paid them $1999. for their services and they promised this person would not contact him again or use this information against. The company answered that they have never conducted business with ******* *****. But they probably answered this way, because they have 20 plus names they use. Attached is where a company named Data Recovery withdrew $1999.00 from his account. Also, attached is where they show a contract under the name of 1ST all file recovery USA Inc, DBA Digital Forensics Corporation ("Company"), and collectively referred to as "parties", along with a copy of all the names listed under the same address and EIN number on Clear. I would like to reopen my case and have them reply again. Or do I need to file a new case?

I have worked with these people in the past for scammer issues. I quit the two phases and had no financial obligations and it didn’t go to collections. Now the worker I dealt with says I can’t cancel the two phases and they say I still owe a good chunk of money. I am not happy with them at all and will be canceling with them. I will block them from emails and phone calls because all they want is money regardless. They also didn’t respond to emails I sent for almost a month which I find extremely rude. Rather your issue stems from owing an outstanding payment obligation after the Company performed various services to assist you with a highly sensitive matter. The transaction date with Digital Forensics Corp was made on July 2, 2023 in the amount of $500 and then another $500 on July 6, 2023 to expedite the process of extracting important deleted text messages off an iphone. This business assured me that they would be able to provide the informaton needed though meta data on this phone. On July 17, 2023 we were informed by, **** ***** our case manager, that the company was unsuccessful in obtaining any of the information that was needed, Upon recieving this information and very upset of spending $1000 on this promised transaction I called a few places, inclucing *****, to find out that this process is impossible on an iphone because ***** has encryption. ***** ensured us that once permently deleted texts are deleted there is no way to recover them. I have since placed phone calls and written in the online portal to Digital Forensics Corp to have my iphone sent back to me and have not heard back from them. I would like to be refunded for this companys deciet and misleading promise to provide me with the information that I paid a large fee for! I also would like my iphone returned. My son was murdered by fentanyl poisoning. I sent out my sons phone *** laptop to retrieve deleted messages. I was assured that they could recover deleted messages. All I was given was texts *** info that was already visible on the devices. Honestly I think it's a scam. I don't believe this company has the ability *** just take advantage of people's situation. Thank you, I would like to add how irresponsible this company was with my sons devices. These are all I have left to remember him. They did not inform me that the package was shipped back to me. No tracking number *** no signature required! We were away for 5 days, when we arrived back home there was a box on our porch soaking wet like a wet rag from the rain containing my sons lap top *** iPhone. The devices were not wrapped in a plastic bag (like they instruct you to do when shipping to them) *** both devices were wet. I have not powered up the laptop as of yet, but the phone powers on but Im not sure if its suffered any damage. I can not believe how they treated these items so very careless *** irresponsible

We contacted the company on June 14, 2023, in desperate need of some cyber services regarding stalking concerns and breaches of personal accounts like the icloud and Facebook, as well as emails and perhaps even phone cloning. After over an hour speaking with a rep, we agreed the $299 fee for the expedited service would be our best bet and the next day we received from them the confirmation of payment email, a link to a questionnaire and a third email with privacy leakage info. That was the last time any communication was received regarding case 556151. We have sent several emails, made phone calls and left both voicemails and messages with other employees who promised to return our calls. And to date, nothing more has happened. This morning an email was sent to them cancelling the monthly subscription, requesting a refund and pointing out the numerous ways they failed to uphold their end of the agreement. It hasn't been long since the email was sent but like several other attempts to communicate with them, I'm assuming we will not receive anything back, not even recognition of cancelling the subscription. Payment was made June 15, 2023, in the amount of $299, and I have copied and pasted exactly what was stated we should receive for that price here: $299/month: Scan and removal of malicious software for up to five (5) devices completed same or following business day. Report provided for device scan within 7 business days of scan completion. Rescan of 5 devices monthly. Removal attempt of initial leaked personal data begins within 1 business day. Rescan for leaked data daily. Report of leaked data removal and/or newly leaked data every 7 business days if any changes/updates are present. Not a single attempt was made to scan any of the devices we were concerned about and shared with them thru the questionnaire we answered the very same day.Business Response

Same as many other people have reported before. This needs more visual. These people are no better than the scammers. I feel completely taken advantage of. I was convinced into the 7300 package in a moment of duress. To get your results of the investigation you have to confirm on phone that you made a decision to sign the contract while sound of mind... You cannot be sound of mind during an extortion. The account manager used scare tactics to pressure me into a faster service and attempted to gaslight me due to his own typographical errors. On top of that they were 2 days late for the 3 day report due to the account manager having time off. I don't believe these people. Of course, the scammer was familiar with their tactics and they were not able to find any sort of information to help my case. The account manager tried to fear monger me into paying an outlandish price for phase II. I am wondering if this counts for breach of contract.Business Response

Digital forensics stated it would cost me 1700 Canadian dollars to do the job. Fine. Next day the price went up to 4500 Canadian. 7000 Canadian the next. Tables were turned on me. Never agreed to this amount. Going from one extortion to the next. Also they want me to wire this money to a bank account with secret codes by check or western union. Haven't they heard of global e transfer? I smell a ?? rat. I strongly feel I am being extorted again for what I've done. I found this business seeking help for being blackmailed. They took advantage of my fear when I was panicking and rushed me through signing a contract for their service. This was $7000 with interest. They escalated the situation with the blackmailer and he knew who they were, Digital Forensics. So they did not get anywhere. After my phase 1 report, they talked me into spending more money to have the extended service. I gave $150 deposit for Phase 2. The next day I emailed them I wasn’t going to Phase 2. I haven’t got the deposit back. Since I canceled phase 2 they have ghosted me. I have sent many emails with no response back from them. They may be worse than the actual criminals. I purchased these services on 04/22/2023. Digital Forensics will take advantage of you in your worst possible state of mind. I feel taken advantage of by these people. Please reconsider before using them. They are definitely more concerned about the money, same as the crooks. I have asked several times to call me and have asked for an invoice.
