I had someone from United Midwest calling me and harassing me for my final piano payment. They called on December 28,2023. According to my statement sent on 12/9/2023, my final payment is due 1/08/2024. Please use caution when thinking about financing with this company.

At the end of 2020 my CD matured at Midwest Savings in Degraff Oh..
I then transferred funds 12/22/20 via Check to ******* ******* **** in Tx.. (funds were received 12/30/20) I thought everything was ok ..but on Sept 26 2022 I got a letter from the IRS stating I owe taxes for 84411.82 . and had 30 days (9/26/22 - 10/26/22) to resolve issue. .or pay taxes...
Midwest Savings was immediately informed ... the Branch Mgr. would not acknowledge error... or determine corrective action..... .
So my annuities Mgr. and Tax preparer investigated and found Midwest had incorrectly .coded the IRA funds on the 1099..form..
IRS requested the 1099 to be ''Amended .....but Midwest just didn't seem to know what to do and being contacted 6-8 times...
I then on Oct 24 (as time was running out) went to BBB... to get action; they requested/ informed Midwest...to ''respond ; ...finally Midwest did respond admitting error... but still not providing a 1099 form...that was acceptable by IRS ..
So ... my Tax agency and ..Annuities Mgr. stepped in and provided ''proof from their files that the IRA had transferred ..
Finally on Nov 7 2022.. IRS accepted their responses not Midwest and the dispute was settled ..
I am a 30 year customer with Midwest/bank location and have a 815 rating ..Ive never had an IRS/financial issue until Midwest made this error... I am leaving this bank due to 6wks of ''POOR service and treatment of a customer...
