      I purchased a whole house solar system/battery backup from Third Sun 2 years ago. It has not functioned at all for 8 months now. First, the battery "went bad". For some reason that also halted my ability to realize any solar power use at all. No power benefit! So, I waited for months to get a replacement. When it finally arrived they came out to install it and left. But, when I checked, it was still not functioning after they left. I called them back out and after reinspection, they said a board was bad in the inverter. I waited 2 more months for that to come in. When it finally arrived they came back out to install it but it was the wrong one. I am now told the board that is actually bad cannot be replaced, so the entire inverter must be replaced. I am also told it has been taking a "long time" for those to come in. So, here I am, paying every month for a system that has not worked for 8 months and with no repair time in sight. Instead of saving money, I am bleeding money. My power has gone out probably 8-10 times since the system has been down causing issues with food, water, and health. I could go on but the problem is obvious. It is a new system that has NOT worked almost as much as it has worked. I am paying for a system that is just sitting there rotting, doing nothing. I was supposed to use my electric savings as a way to pay it off, but instead, it is COSTING me money.

      market today. Brands can vary greatly in quality and durability. Top installers
      take the long view and carefully select the equipment they install. They have
      specialists who study solar manufacturer speci?cations, researching and testing
      to ?nd the best in each price category.

      Top
      installers build their reputation by using the highest quality equipment
      available.  Sometimes top installers fall short and select to
      install solar equipment that fails.

      We have been
      installing Solar Edge and LG Chem for many years. These solar equipment manufacturers
      have great reputation and have been staples in the solar industry for over 16
      years and 13 years respectively.

      It is
      rare that we see a system have this type of failure and understand your
      frustration.

      As a dedicated
      solar installer, we have been working diligently with the manufacturers to get parts
      and replacements. We understand your frustration and will continue to work with
      you and the solar equipment manufacturers until we see this issue resolved.
