For the last two months, I have sent over FIVE emails to customer support to cancel my membership. I get an auto reply, but no one actually cancels it. I called the toll free number to make sure they canceled it this month, and they told me to email, yet again. I emailed 4 times this month, not one single acknowledgment of cancellation. This is like youre locked into some sort of scam contract that you can never cancel. The woman on the phone was HOUNDING me about not canceling, in a high pressure way, on top of it. Id like to get my $29.95 back that was taken last month, despite my cancellation attempts, and I need verification that its cancelled before the next months payments come out again.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I had also tried to cancel the previous month, and I was still charged *****. I have documentation of the cancellation email sent, prior to the previous months withdrawal. This is why Im requesting a refund. You make it so difficult to cancel. Were in a day and age right now, where cancellations to subscriptions are fairly easy. This one was not.I would like my $***** refunded please, for the month I tried to cancel but wasnt responded to.

The absolute worst service. I paid for the family plan for both my mom and me. I asked the assigned law firm, Feldman Kramer & Monaco, to write a letter to a nursing home request my mother's entire medical record. After wasting 3 weeks of time, these ppl said that they could not do it and referred me to a pay attorney at a 25% discount. In another instance, I requested a referral for a civil matter, they referred a traffic attorney! When I called the attorney, he had no clue what I was talking about and said to call Feldman Kramer for a different attorney. Feldman said they could not refer another attorney so they cancelled my membership. Legal Shield puts you at risk because they pretend to be an advocate, but leave you completely exposed. This service is a scam because they do not provide legal solutions. They run you around until you are exhausted. There is NO advocacy service provided by Legal Shield or its provider law firm. Feldman Kramer provides the same level of service as any legal software package.Business Response

In a Tell about my problem of a providence with as much information as possible to facilitate a resolution.. 'Stating that' I Paid a Membership Fee on the (8th of September) where as' I was informed that I would receive an Email with (***** Hours), before I Could Contact my Provider Firm. However' I never received an Email and Contacted Membership services on the (13th of September) where as' I was informed that' my Membership would start on the (13th of September). However' on the (19th) of September), I received a response regarding (2) Legal Intakes I made a request for on the (13th of September)-. Of the (1st Intake), I was informed by the Supervising Attorney that' the my Provider Firm would not. offer assistance of a Consumer Complaint As' I had exhausted my benefits with a prior Employer in 2021. Of the (2nd Intake) I was informed by the Referral Attorney that' (he) was unclear as' to why' his Office Continues to receive Referrals from Legal Shield when' the particulars our not within his Firms practice and' (he) Could only refer me back to Legal Shield. No cause of action was found by the Provider Attorney at that time, but ************** still received a referral to write a letter on his behalf.The Reinstatement Membership was to make Contact by' Phone or Email of a Consumer Compliant filed with ******** ************************ in February of 2022 whether' the Provide Law Firm or Referral Attorney. Legal Shield has compromised my personal information . I signed up with them in August of 2022. I provided them my phone number and email address. However , on September 19, 2022 I received an email from Legal Shield to an email address that I never provided to them. As a matter of fact I have only provided one Gmail email address to them when I first signed up. I called Legal Shield several times to inquire on how did they obtain the yahoo email but to no avail. On my initial complaint to Legal Shield about this issue I immediately gave them a new email address to try and eliminate identity fraud but this does not explain how did they receive the yahoo email address. The email address that they utilized on September 19, 2020 was for a yahoo email. As of today I have called Legal Shield and made several complaints and I have been lied to and given the run around. When I ask for the customers service agents name they tell me they cannot provide me their name. I have never had any communication with Legal Shield utilizing a yahoo email account. I have proof. Cancelled my Legalshield and IDshield membership back in Oct 2018 and stopped paying for it, however I still get monthly emails from IDshield stating that they are still tracking my personally identifiable information. I have emailed and called in the past and asked to stop tracking anything of mine because I was no longer a customer. The most recent email from them was from Sept 4th 2022 stating that they were still looking at my personally identifiable information. I believed I signed up to become a member of LegalShield on 8/1/22. I paid $29.99 and included with this subscription was the personal plan coverage. My member LegalShield member is: ***********. My goal was to seek services in helping with a traffic ticket. Unfortunately, I didnt receive the assistance with my traffic ticket. I was told by the referred law services from ************************************* attorney that he would not be able to help me with my traffic ticket case. I requested a cancellation and refund from LegalShield over the telephone. My request for cancellation was honored and met, however, my refund was denied. Date: I have been with them 20 years. However, asked subscription to be stopped on 7/1/22 via phone. They only will accept a phone call. They won't do anything through email or website and don't send anything in writing.Amount - 3 months taken after cancellation they are refusing to give back to me. $59.85 Member number: *********** I believe this company has changed names 3-4 times. When I first began, it was called something different. I knew it last as Legal Shield.I tried to resolve this with them and they did not have any way to dispute or talk with someone about it. They just "took a messaage." Then, I received a letter saying "No refund due because there was n prepayment. I don't know what this means. I am on an auto deduction, which I've been trying to get stopped and refunded! I actually tried to stop this at the beginning of Covid 2 years ago. However, it was too difficult to get in to touch with anyone about it. They claimed it was a different company then and they didn't have any records. I truthfully just got exhausted going back and forth with them. Then, tried again the first of July when I got out of the school year (I am a teacher and extremely busy during the year). I am extremely upset at their dismissal of anything I asked, refusal to cancel my service, refusal to refund me, no way to really get into contact with anyone who has any kind of authority to get my money back, zero email or other confirmation of anything I've discussed with them, the actual cancellation, or otherwise. When I first called, it took 2 days to get a hold of them because of their hours and no way to leave a message for them to contact me. I finally got a lady. She tried and tried to convince me to keep it and she'd give me a better rate. I refused. I said I had the service for over 20 years and had only used it 2 times (maybe 2 hours in all). I am rejecting this response because: First, I find it interesting they "sent a check" for $19.95 when I reported them. Second, Even the letter states I called to cancel in June. They TOOK A PAYMENT FROM ME in July and August as well! I want that back. They owe me another $39.90. I NEVER requested a "30 day waiting period?" The girl I spoke to did try to convince me to wait and stay with them for a reduced rate. I told her no. I wanted it cancelled now. She did not do that apparently. I did as they asked...which is to call to cancel. They do not allow you to cancel through the website or email. They tell you to call to cancel. I see why. This is so they have no papertrail of the cancellation! This is not right. This is deceitful. I want the extra 2 months back. I also want somehow to cancel on their site. Their methods are deceitful and underhanded. I have not received a check. Plus, why would they send a check when they can just put it back in my account. They have auto deducted ever since I have had them.

I am a member of Legal Shield pre-paid legal services. Summer of 2022, I requested atty ****** to be sent to my condo assoc 3rd party property mngmt firm (******** Property Mngmt including on site mngr ******************************** employer, ********************************** CAM, ********** ******** Property Mngmt. ********, III. Subquently, 7/1/22, there was final demand ****** of condo Assoc Atty ****** which i asked Legal Shield to respond to in atty ******. On 7/25/22, atty ****** was allegedly emailed to *********************** I am still trying to get forwarded that email. Upon seeing the 7/25/22, PDF version of Atty ******** ******, i noted nunerous factual errors about details of inspections i had arranged on p. 3. I have repeatedly requested, at my expense, the factual errors are corrected and that a revised version of the 7/25/22 ****** is directly sent by certified mail to Atty ************************ Playa del Mar counsel. I do not understand why Legal Shield has been unwilling to comply with my simple request. Repeatedly also i attempted to set up online litigation defense consulations with ****** law when i saw outcome was pending litigation. Online dashboard shows repeatedly cancellations. I reached out to Member Resolution services in ***, ** and subsequently received email from ****** on that team informing me another litigator would be assigned by ****** law. Yesterday, i called Member resolution in ***, ** and was inforned that my member resolution case was closed and it was noted the case would not be reopened. I was also inforned notes from atty ************************* say i refused to accept litigation referral. I asked to be sent the referral but was informed there was No litigation referral made because ***************** allegedly insists i refused to accept litigation referral.
