    I have currently been down from a medical situation that didn't allow me to be able to contact the office. While I am 30 days late this company ran a credit check on me when I was not renewing or receiving a new loan. W.o my concent, further more they somehow managed to find a number for someone I have not had contact with in many years and have now began calling her..this person is not listed as a reference for me ..she is. someone I have a restraining order on and this company Ultimately just violated that.

    In response to the complaint filed by ********************** ID#*********. When a contract is signed at the time the loan is made the customer gives consent to ********************** allowing the office to receive information from consumer reporting agencies should it be necessary. It is the policy of Red River Credit Corporation to make and maintain contact with their customers.  When an account goes delinquent the office will make phone calls to the customer or the refences listed on the account to try and work out an arrangement that would benefit the customer and the office.  If an arrangement is not made because of lack of communication or broken promises the office will use the consumer reporting agencies to find numbers to try and make contact with the customer.
    The desired settlement for this account is to cease and desist all phone calls from the company.  I have contacted the Red River Credit Corporation in *** and have made sure that all phone calls will be stopped to the customer and the reference she stated in the complaint. 
    If further explanation is needed, the office would be glad to do so.  Red River Credit Corporation strives to make every customers experience the best it can possibly be. Our doors are always open, and we are willing to sit down and discuss any issue with our customers at any time.

    I received an unsolicited check in the amount of $825.00, which is a "pre-approved" loan from Red River Credit Corporation. An actual check I did not request, not an offer to apply. This check has an interest rate of *****% (APR) attached to it. This is obviously a predatory loan. I called the company to request that my name be taken off the list, *************) and was told that they do not issue the checks, but their parent location does. I asked for their parent location's phone number and was told she did not have it, but her supervisor did. I asked for her supervisor's phone number and she hung up the phone. Each of 5 subsequent calls I attempted to make were immediately hung up on prior to any verbal communication from Red River Credit. I attempted to call the "Opt-Out" number ***************) and the first requirement to "Opt-Out" is to enter my full social security number. This company is absolutely horrible.

    In response to the complaint filed by ********************* ID #********, ********************** has voided and marked the check referenced above. This cannot absolutely guarantee that **************** will not be selected in future pre-screen offer campaigns. In addition, other installment lenders may also send live check offers based on Ms. ******* current credit standing.
    The proper way to remove all pre-screened offers, including live checks, is for **************** to contact the credit bureau directly and make the request to opt-out. There are two options to be added to the National Opt-Out database: calling toll-free ************** or online at www.OptOutPrescreen.com. The live check offer mailed to Ms. ***** contained this opt-out information as required by FCRA guidelines.  She will have to provide certain information when opting out, to ensure the proper person and information is being removed.
