I hired this company to come do some Dirtwork, reseal base of house and windows and add gutters. The gutters were plastic and I told inspector for quote I wanted aluminum gutters since I have a metal house and needed industrial strength sealant to be used on base of house. I have a concrete slab and a metal house. I was informed by the inspector this would be done and I confirmed with him. The quote came back I seen it said seal 3/4 of house and didn’t mention east side of house for Dirtwork. I called and spoke to **** I believed to be a manager or owner. He told me that would be a couple hundred more dollars I agreed. When inspector came out measuring for gutters I asked him how would they attach the gutters he said the company would take care of it. They sent quote I approved paid deposit. The workers came out 2-3 weeks later and he informed me he couldn’t put up gutters and needed to build a frame to attach them to and it would cost me $1400.00 more dollars. We discussed the frame and how attaching it. I paid same day the $1400.00 and he would be back following day to out up gutters. I was working on property so didn’t pay attention to them working on gutters to see they were plastic until he already had half of them up. I told the guy I didn’t want plastic gutters they were cheap and not going to last on this house. He said company didn’t use aluminum gutters and I had to go ahead and accept them. I callled company they’re said there never was a mention of aluminum gutters. I told them I mentioned it to the Inspector and confirmed he understood this and the company would take care of it. The company said I was on a budget and I said I would’ve paid for metal gutters over cheap plastic that doesn’t match the house or last more than a season. Also, I caught the kid who was a helper doing the work that a skillset professional should’ve been doing which was sealing the house with window sealant. Window sealant cannot be used on metal to concrete.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by the customer. We take all client concerns seriously and are committed to addressing issues in a fair and professional manner.
In this case, the customer filed a complaint after we had already issued a full refund for the gutter installation on June 4th. The refund was provided in good faith and prior to any formal complaint, in an effort to resolve the matter amicably.
To clarify, the gutters were installed using our standard materials (plastic) as no specific type was listed in the signed contract. Our company does not install metal gutters.
Before the gutter work began, we informed the client that this portion would be removed from the contract. However, they insisted we proceed. They initially paid a 35% deposit.
We do not offer industrial-grade sealants, nor were such materials on the quote/contract. She was charged only for the sealant materials used, its labor and the labor for the dirtwork.
Client deposits are used to purchase materials and procurement of contracted labor, deposits are non-refundable as stated within the contract.
We also want to clarify, we do not employ individuals under the age of 21.

As part of our commitment to providing the level of quality and care our customers deserve, we are currently undergoing internal restructuring to improve our communication, service, and the overall project execution of our crew. We are committed to addressing your request for a refund through the BBB.
As previously communicated, a refund of $811.59 was issued, and an additional refund of $1,270.15 is currently being processed—bringing the total refund to $2,081.74.
While our team followed our standard materials and procedures, we acknowledge that the final result was not up to our standards, or yours. A miscommunication between the inspector and the quote contributed to the issue, and for that, we sincerely apologize.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I appreciate the partial refund but it’s going to cost me to more to repair the holes in my metal from the employee putting so many screws in incorrectly to connect downspouts and for someone to remove the plastic gutters.  I figured out why one of the gutters wasn’t draining, there was no hole in the gutter for the water to exit the downspout. This is the most unprofessional ridiculous work I’ve ever seen. This whole process has caused me stress and wasted my time that I could’ve hired a true professional to do the work needed correctly without the hassle and wasted money and time. It will  cost me more to hire a company to remove the incorrect window silicone from the base of my house to replace with correct sealant. The company just folded and didn’t finish the work or correct it.

    Sincerely,
