I was told by a midfirst employee that my account was closed, therefore I did not think about it anymore. Come to find out, the account was still open, and they had spent a year charging overdraft fees on an account that I didnt even have a debit card for anymore. They then proceeded to tell me that that money was my responsibility to pay, despite one of their own employees portraying that they had closed it. They lied to me so that they could charge me overdraft fees in an inactive account, which I think is simply abhorrent. They have given me the run around when trying to resolve this issue with them and I just wanted some sort of entity to know that theyre practicing these tactics to scare people into paying them money they never should have to.

Monifi, a division of Midfirst Bank, published a new checking account promotion in which they promised $250 to new account holders if two direct deposits ($1000 minimum) were received within 90 days of opening a checking account for accounts opened from January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022. The incentive payment was to be paid within 45 days of making the second deposit. On 3/6/2022, I opened a new account. On 3/8/2022 I received an email from MidFirst (Monifi) promoting the bonus offer. On 3/15/2022, I made the first $1000 direct deposit. On 4/15/2022, I made the second $1000 direct deposit. I have maintained a balance of no less than $1000 since making the initial deposit. Per the email solicitation from Monifi, I should have received a $250 bonus not later than 5/30/2022 (45 days).I have called Monifi (Midfirst) customer service on 2 separate occasions and was told that I met all requirements for the $250 payment and that I would be paid. I have yet to be paid 109 days after meeting the qualifications for the bonus despite Monifis (Midfirst) promises to make the payment.
