Tinker filed a delinquent report to the credit agencies stating I did not make a payment on a loan. Tinker has attempted to add over $1,000 in insurance on my loan. I made the full payment on the loan that both Tinker and I agreed too. I already have insurance and have provided all information to Tinker. The insurance is the same on more than one loan, so they know the insurance is valid. They filed a delinquent payment on the "insurance" amount that I have never agreed to, never signed a contract for, and never took a loan on. They agree that I made the payment on the loan, but I didn't pay the increased amount. This false report has now stopped me attempting to.purchase a house since it has destroyed my credit. Tinker FCU filed a false report to the credit agencies damaging my credit and history.Business Response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: The institution made no good faith effort to warn me about the transactions from gemini-daytrading whatsoever and furthermore made no effort to contact me about the reports I sent via email in December and January regarding the issues at all. This is a patently false canned response from TFCU that should be rejected on its merits. I request full reimbursement of the lost funds within 30 days. I did not authorize transactions to gemini-daytrading and no TFCU records can show I authorized them.
Sincerely,

In October 2023 I called Tinker Federal Credit Union to let them know that someone had hacked my ******* account online. They placed several crazy orders with multiples of same items. Four cars arrived at my house at the same time to deliver these crazy orders. We received letters in January saying this was resolved and a permanent credit was applied to my account. Then today, February 19, I received another letter saying I would be recharged because ******* sent them receipts. Its crazy! The orders are super weird, and the ** address shows to be in *******. I live in ********.Also, a couple of months ago my teenage son fell for the phone scam that everyone knows about where you get a text saying your delivery has been delayed and you need to enter you info in order to get your order. The scammers stole his info and placed several crazy TikTok orders. TFCU refused to take care of this issue too, and that one was hundreds of dollars. We have been Tinker members for years and used them for all of our banking needs. I no longer recommend them to anyone. They are not taking care of us as members. Any sane person could look at both scams and see that that it exactly what they are. As a matter of fact it shouldve been flagged and stopped before purchases could even be completed. I can no longer trust my bank. But since we have all of our loans there, we feel stuck. TFCU has become a very bad business.Business Response

On 12/7/2021 I financed a SECURED car loan with Tinker CU in the amount of $29,359.00 for a 2019 Dodge Charger that I was purchasing on behalf of my son from a private owner. We all met at Tinker CU to sign all applicable paperwork with a loan officer. On 6/19/2022 my son was involved in an accident in this vehicle and taken into custody for suspected DUI. The car was taken into evidence by Tarrant County PD for the criminal case and stored for months in their DUI investigation lot. At no time were myself or my son informed that the car was eligible for pick up. I continued to my on time payments of the note as well as CPI FORCED INSURANCE. On 5/19/2023 my son was incarcerated as a result of the accident. I contacted Tinker CU on multiple occasions attempting to file insurance claims for the car while they told me that I needed to 1st find the car in order to file the claim. Upon investigation I found that Tarrant County PD released the car to ***************** in 10/2023 . Upon contacting ***************** they advised me that the car was AUCTIONED OFF in 11/2023. I asked how could this happen without the lienholder (Tinker CU) being informed & they advised me that there was NO RECORD OF A LIEN ON THE ****** I have contacted Tinker CU multiple times and now they are lying saying that they mailed out a title package to my address on file with the documentation needed to update the title & secure THEIR LIEN POSITION. Docs have no date listed on ********** have furnished no tracking info to prove issuance or receipt of **********. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THESE DOCUMENTS IN PERSON OR AT MY PO BOX & DOUBT VERY SERIOUSLY IF A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION WOULD MAKE IT THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO SECURE THEIR LIEN POSITION ON A SECURED LOAN WITHOUT ANY FOLLOW UP ON WHETHER IT WAS ACTUALLY DONE! I have been paying car note & insurance on a car for MONTHS that has literally been sold to someone else!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Tinker CU has shown overwhelming incompetence in the handling of this loan making it impossible for me to trust that they will provide a timely & acceptable resolution without oversight by BBB. They have yet to stop collecting payments & forced insurance on a car that they know for a fact has been sold to someone else.

I received a statement for my TFCU Credit Card while I was out of the state on Temporary Duty with the Air Force so I was delayed in paying the $25 annual fee. This is not a card I have used in probably 2 years so I was not expecting the bill so when I returned I attempted to pay it. On October 12th I tried logging into my account in order to pay the bill but it kept giving me an error. TFCU was already closed for the day so I called on 10/13 to try and get a password reset. They informed me I was locked out of my account and would not give me access again until my $25 annual fee was paid because I was 22 days past due. I was told I would have to make a payment over the phone which I agreed to. When I went to pay the card they told me the name of whatever account I was using would have to match my TFU account. My ********************** account was still in my maiden name because I no longer live local to ******** and do not use that account often so they told me I was unable to pay it. I asked about getting the account changed over to my married name and an employee by the name of ************************* told me to email a copy of my marriage license and my new license. I immediately sent it over to her and I inquired how I could get my bill paid in the interim. She looked up a local bank here in ************ called Service First, which is a partner bank that I should be able to pay in person. I went to that bank on 10/14 and they could not see the **** card bill so I was unable to pay it. I called TFCU back immediately and asked what I should do since I live thousands of miles away and am still waiting on the name change to go through. They told me to mail a check to their PO Box and that the name change would take 5 business days to process. I dropped a check in the mail that day and kept checking to see if I regained access to my online account daily. ** Story Continued in Attached PDF**Business Response

Got an auto loan for about $14,000 with TFCU. The money was sent into the account but never transferred into the loan account. The bill wasnt paid since July of 2023, a simple fix if I had gotten a single phone call about it. With no notice whatsoever- they repossessed my vehicle as collateral, locked my account, and will not provide me with any information outside of speaking to their lawyer. I would like my vehicle back and the chance to refinance through another creditor with the vehicle in my possession. Not only that but I would like the repossession taken off of my credit report.Business Response

My issue isnt specifically with this branch its with the call center or wherever the main phone number is located. The credit union as a whole is horrible they have so many fees that other credit unions dont charge they are all about profit and not about the member. I called Monday about a fraudulent charge and nothing was done to return my money to me or secure my account. Well I check my account today and another charge from the same retailer was posted to my account. I called again and nothing that would be useful to me was done. My card was deactivated only. No money returned me I was told I need to wait 10 business days. The rep also lied to me about being able to reverse or cancel transactions so Im assuming Ill never get my money back. But if my account goes in the negative they will gladly charge multiple fees to my account. The customer service is horrible and I dont even want to do business with them anymore. I choose them because they are close to my home but Im regretting it. Theres been multiple occurrences that prove to me they shouldnt even be in business anymore. They are also outdated with certain things like the atm. Its just a bad experience all together besides the few tellers that work inside this branch.Business Response

Hello, My name is ***********************. Me and my family have been wrongfully misguided and told wrong about getting the final preparations done before my grandpa passed away. My grandpa ******************* made a phone call to verify that his funds were good and ready with the trust that he had setup with the bank account. The money had two different accounts setup both adding up to about $300,000 from what I have been told. Well before my grandpas passing away the bank had my aunt *********************** and ******************* added as trustees on the account. The bank of Tinker Credit Federal Union in ******, ** stated to my family and grandpa in person before his passing that everything was setup good to go with the trust. Now only after his death my family has been told differently all of a sudden and they are saying that they need to get their attorney evolved in order for us to get the money distributed amongst the family members who are current members at the bank. This is one of the many issues that the bank has mistreated my entire family but this tops over all the issues. This should not happen to anyonelse especially when being told that the preparations are all in order as planned both in person and by phone from members of the bank.Business Response

In April 2023 my 19 yr old son lost his wallet. His ID, SSN and bank card and member card were all in his wallet. Instead of him contacting the bank to cancel his account he just stopped using the account and had his paycheck sent to cashapp. Apparently on April 24th two $3000 checks were deposited via mobile check. Money was withdrawn from atm and card was used for multiple transactions at ******** Tinker FCU did not contact me not one time regarding my sons account. They did not contact my son until 6/7/2023 when they sent a letter to our old address. My son has NEVER deposited a check for that amount and two in the same day should have prompted a red flag. ***** should recognize unusual account activity and we should be notified. My son received a letter July 21st from ******* ********** agency regarding a $8905 debt to TFCU. I called TFCU to see if the collection letter was legit or a scam. TFCU confirmed the debt and gave me a lawyers contact info. The lawyer provided copies of the checks and transaction details and my son did not do what they are claiming. His signature does not match the checks and he has never used mobile banking to deposit checks. I emailed member services asking why I wasnt notified before it was sent to collections and then sent to a lawyer. If we had been notified we could have reported fraud. I have my own account with **********************. They have my email, phone number and physical address. *** called a few times for my account and my sons account was never mentioned. Instead of TFCU answering my questions they locked me out of my account. I cant log in or transfer money or use my debit card. I have bills set up for autopay and now I need to find a new company to bank with. TFCU could have responded to my questions or told me my account would be locked. The way they are handling this is extremely unprofessional. I am inconvenienced by my account being locked. Now they wont speak to me they just refer me to the lawyer for my sons accountBusiness Response

I had a car get repossessed with TFCU probably nine years ago and I have made a few payments here and there but was never able to pay the full balance(covid and what not). I was looking into a recent check because it seemed very light and to my surprise after almost a decade of no contact, TFCU is just garnishing my wages for 25% of my check. How is this legal? If this persists I will be forced to leave a job of 3+ years in order to find something with full pay.Business Response
