This company apparently was the supplier for a wrist guard I was given by my Orthopod. I never received a bill from this place. 4 years later I am getting collections calls about a delinquent account. I ignore them because I owe NO ONE. I then get an entire package in the mail, with my entire medical record from my visit to the Ortho. The claim states I OWE $30. IF I had actually received a bill I would have paid it, to get a collection notice containing my medical record is a violation of my privacy and is obviously breaking HIPAA laws. How did this company get my record in the first place???

You physician wrote the order and sent it to us to be filled and billed.

I understand that the physician got the device from you. What I don't understand is the fact that I never received an original bill from PhilCare. Had I received a bill 4 years ago I would have paid it immediately. I did not receive the bill. Instead 4 years pass and I'm sent to collections! Imagine the violation I feel to get a collections letter for less than $30 containing my entire medical history. Terrible business practices!

This company is a total scam. I received a call from a collection agency saying I owed them $55.67. I had never received a bill or anything from Philcare. I refused to pay until they sent me documentation and someone from the company called me. After many phone calls I finally got someone to talk with me. Then she tells me I don't owe $55.67, I owe $591.99. Proceeded to tell me I had 30 days to pay or they were sending it back to collections. Once I got the documents, I immediately saw a discrepency. Reached out to my former insurance company and got the claims and discovered more discrepencies. I was being billed for a leg brace I never received and the amount billed to the insurance company was less than what the invoice said. They were billing almost $100 more than what they submitted. I have asked for further documentation from them to clarify the discrepencies. I have submitted 4 requests for documentation and have heard nothing. Because of the fraudulent billing, I have filed a complaint with the TDI and contacted an attorney. Again, this company is deceitful and a total scam.

If I had ever gotten a bill from them, I would have been more than happy to pay it. Philcare sent me to collections, which I paid immediately. Philcare could have had their money two years earlier if they had sent me a bill.

When I was pregnant, I was told by HiMom Ultrasounds that I can get a back brace for free covered by my insurance. So I filled out the application and not too long after, I received the box with the back brace in it. There was no invoice from Philcare Medical Supplies Inc, no letters informing me that it was not covered by insurance and now I received a letter from collection agency saying I owe $5995 from the back brace. This company is a SCAM!
