    My PG&E bill was over $500 which is not normal. Upon a closer look I had a charge from AAA Energy Services for gas procurement charges. I googled them and I read that they scam people into using their gas services which cost more than PG&E but PG&E still has to charge the customer, so they are paying twice. I called, no one answered. So I called PG&E, they said I have to go through *** to cancel and that they just handle the billing for them. PG&E gave me a different number to contact them. It was a hassle, they told me they would request cancellation and that it takes 60 days, in the meantime I still have to pay them. I asked about a refund because I never signed up for this. They said they cannot give a refund and there's a fine for canceling! I argued with her so she sent me a recording of the phone call where I signed up and hung up on me. The recording is clearly not me or anyone I know, when asked for the name on the account they gave a wrong name and then mine (which they did not pronounce correctly). I have called back to tell them this multiple times and they will not answer.

    *** has listened to the recording and the customer did do the *** as our customer service department did verify it was her voice on the ***. The customer has been with *** since January of 2024 and the customer never reached out until May of 2025. We have looked over the customer account and she has never paid more than $104. to AAA for the gas commodity. If her bill is $500 dollars that would also include her electricity from PGE as well as the Transporation of the gas from PGE. Below is a breakdown of what the customer has paid each month since January of 2024 to AAA services. The month of May the customers gas usage did ********************** and i would advise her to call *** to come out and check her meter as it does seem like they may have read it wrong. 

    As for the cancellation of the account *** will not stop the service in the middle of a billing cycle so we say it does take up to 60 days to cancel. This is part of *** tariff online.

    I am filing a formal complaint against AAA Energy Services for fraudulent enrollment and unauthorized billing. The company falsely claims that I signed up for their service last year, but I never consented to this, never signed any agreement, and never knowingly authorized these *********** Energy Services has been charging my PG&E bill every month for an outrageous amount of money without my permission. When I discovered this fraud, I immediately called to cancel. They provided me with a cancellation number (#**********), yet they continue to bill me, and I cannot escape this unauthorized service.I demand the following actions be taken immediately:A full refund of every dollar AAA Energy Services has taken from me over the past year.Immediate and permanent cancellation of any service under my name.A guarantee that neither AAA Energy Services nor any of its partners will ever contact me again in any way.This is an egregious and predatory practice, and I expect the BBB to take swift action to hold AAA Energy Services accountable. I request confirmation of my complaint and updates on any actions taken.

    The customer did enroll with our ******************** on 2/22/2024 and AAA Natural gas has been servicing the account since 12/17/2024. The customers account was submitted for a cancellation, however *** will not stop an account in the middle of a billing cycle, the account is now closed as of 4/16/2025. The bill attached is the final bill for this customer.

    I am rejecting this response because:   why does it take 4 months for the account to stop? the billing cycle for pge is 30 days. this is not correct and i should have had my refund sooner not april... after a full quarter.... when i requested cancellation in december. i never applied in february.

    The customer did not call in December as i have checked the phone logs. The customer called on 2/24/2025 and the drop was submitted that day. It can take up to two billing cycles for an account to cancel per PGE Rules. *** does not control when the end date is set as that is done by ***.

    My mother is 92 years old and has been receiving 6:30 am/early morning calls from this company. We have tried blocking them and put my mom on dnc list. Now all the sudden, aaa is appearing on her pge bill and doubled her gas charges. Reading other reviews sounds like its impossible to stop them. My mother has no money to pay these false/unapproved charges. My sister just called aaa. They claim my mom agreed in December which is not true. They are not cancelling charges and claim they may continue charging her for another ***** days. Please help get our money back and stop them for stealing from my mom

    AAA Natural Gas has a valid telephone verification for ******* mother and it was done at 8:55am in the morning. The account has been submitted for cancellation; however *** will not stop an account in the middle of a billing cycle. The account will end on the end of the next meter read.

    I am rejecting this response because:   

    my mom is 92 years old and very hard of hearing.   There is no possible way she understood anything the man on recording was saying her (if recording is even real. Seems cut/pasted with the long delays between his question and her one word answer).   He was taking extremely fast and she barely understands me at a much slower pace    

    The company was robo dialing her for months (waking her up at 5:30 am)   I put her on dnc list but nothing seemed to stop them    

    This company is clearly taking advantage of the elderly and should be stopped   It doubled my moms gas bill and she is in very limited income

    *** does not discriminate based on age, race, gender or religion. The customer does have the option to stop at any time during the call and the account would never be enrolled. I did look over the billing and see that the gas consumption did go up which will make any persons bill be higher. I will voice your concern about the *** list to the third party companies we work with to make sure those are being checked weekly.

    I have been in a contract with AAA for gas procurement for at least a couple of years and had requested them to break the contract several times over the phone and in person when they sent their scouts out to my home. Every time I tell them I no longer want to use their program, they tell me they will resolve the issue and honor my request but then nothing gets done. I have been stolen from by them for $100s or $1,000s of dollars all because they have ignored my request to continue to be in contract with them. I would like for them to be held accountable and responsible for the funds they have unlawfully taken from me. I would like for them to be taken off of my utility bill and removed from my account.

We are happy to process the customers cancellation which will end in the next 30 days as *** will not stop service in the middle of the billing cycle.

    I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. I do not agree with the businesses claim that I did not call in to disconnect services through them but I do agree for them to stop service within 30 business days. If they do not cancel the service provided by them within 30 days I will refile a complaint through BBB.

    I just received a call from Triple A gas. Representative extremely difficult to understand; however indicated No change to gas service as she represented PG&E and was offering a discount. It wasnt until she put me on hold that I pulled up their business name. When she came back on line she had indicated this is already Processed now. I said NO I do not want anything to do with this or Trie A indicating they are a third party. Lady arguing saying they are not third party & already too late it is all processed. Very rude and obnoxious and yelling at me. When I said absolutely not and do not change a thing she said she would cancel my gas service referring to pg&e and I will be charged ******! I told her this is fraud and I will not pay anything! She said too late and hung up! I tried calling the phone numbers back and they blocked me that fast:

    *** does not have an enrollment for this customer nor do we even show that a sale was done through our telephone verification system. There are multiple companies who sale natural gas in the area in which it may have been a competitor of ours.

    My 93 year old grandma received a letter stating she was being changed to AAA energy services 1/3/2025. She did not authorize this change from *** to AAA. She needs to have this option cancelled immediately and soley stay with ***. She is already ********** additional costs are insane. These people are fraud with no way of getting in contact with a live person. I have left a message with them and sent a form via their website as there are no other contact options.

    This company illegal informed p&e they have a contract requesting they be our gas provider. Theyve never spoken to anybody who resides in this unit nor do they have a contract and were never given authority to take over as our gas providers and Pg&e is saying there is nothing they can do until we contact a company we have never spoken to. Pg&e claims an account was opened up back in June 8th, 2020 but they were notified of the request to switch over on 12/05/24. And this was clearly fraudulently done as the document sent to this address notifying of the change was sent in English on one side and Spanish on the other. Why are you sending an English speaking customer something translated in Spanish?!!!

I have attached the *** as well as we have provided it to the customer. The letter the customer is referencing in Spanish is from PGE not AAA. The customers account will end of 2/4/2025.

The telephone verification clearly states ******** charges maybe higher or lower than PGE gas charges." the customer did agree to this statement in the telephone verification.     AAA does have a verbal verification of the customer signing up for service. We can process the customers account for a cancellation and per PGE tariff the account will end on the next meter read. AAA does not have any record of this customer ever calling in to cancel.
