March of 2022 I purchased six brand new windows thru this company, after the windows were installed and completed I reported to them that I had three windows that were not locking and a screen, the last window was on backwards, it took three months from someone from the main quarters in Tulsa to look at it because he was in town looking at other customers issues, he made notes and said he would get back with me,( he made like they were supposed to be like that I told him it was not), it never happened, so I kept reaching out to the Little Rock office, from July up until now, the manager finally got back with me after I sent that company an email, I spoke with him first of November, 2022 but found out he had an family emergency, but it is the last of the year now and I have not heard from them, I was told they have not forgotten about my case when I spoke to him in November, but I am feed up now, I spent over 7,000, which I feel is overpriced, but they sent out my paperwork for guarantee products in October , but they have not fix the problem windows, I fill like this should have been resolved by now.Business Response

I purchased a shower instilation in December of 2019 for 7500.00. The agent was told that the floorwas unlevel and would have to be delt with. the installer came out looked at the sight and started instilation . When finished the shower . Was nothing like our expectatiopns. And was later reinstalled with the same poor workman ship and crooked walls and also a soft floor that water bubles around the drain . Now the conpany saysthat it is caused by a faulty foundation .And structal damage If that is so they should never have installed the shower in the first place. The foundation hasnt changed in the 25 years that we have lived here.Business Response

It up to the customer to maintain their homes structural integrity. The first remodel was not to our standards and therefore was redone. We take care of issues that we have responsibility for. We have the pictures of the first and second time your bath was done, the second time you were advised that any issues caused by structural damage is NOT covered under warranty, it's also stated in our contracts.
Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/11/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The shower if structal damage is the issue was preasnt before the first shower was installed .and there has been no change to the houes . Should never have been installed in the first place . And it was the companys represenative responsibility to make sure the shower was installed where it could be done successfully And not take issue after the install was installed . And use the structure as an excuse that the work was less than adequate.

Community Builders and the homeowner knew the floor was uneven and we let the homeowner know that we would do what we could to level the floor to do the installation of the new shower. The homeowner was aware of the challenges we faced to put in the shower and still wished to proceed with the installation. Community Builders installed the bathroom in late January of 2022. In Late April of 2022, the homeowner contacted Community Builders to notify us that there is "water bubbling up when stepping in the shower." Community Builders spent the next 5 months trying to schedule service on the bathroom.
In late October of 2022, Community Builders was able to get into the home and discovered the shower was installed correctly and the home is settling due to a bad foundation. At Community Builder's expense, the shower was reinstalled while attempting to sure up the flooring enough to handle the installation.

**** ******** Dr.
Killeen, XXXXX
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to attempt to get some assistance in recouping money from Community Builders for a project that was never completed at my address. Community Builders entered in a contract with me, on or about June 17, 2021. Later when no work had been done & the City permit had not been requested, I requested an additional 4x7 ft be added. To the initial contract, I was told no problem, but for an additional $785.00, I paid and still nothing was done. No permit from the city had been requested & paid for. I requested a meeting with the company to see what the problem was. I was told that they had been busy with larger projects. When I started to complain I was told that I had 4 days to cancel. Why would I cancel when I still wanted the work done?
The workman finally did come out to lay the re-bar. Weeks passed & nothing.
Without my knowledge Community requested and received $12,000.00 dollars from **** Bank in Salt Lake City, UT XXXXX. Some time lapsed, and no one was making payment to the bank loan & the bank threatened to put a lean on my home. At that point I consulted with an attorney: Michalk Beatty & Alcozer at Law. I am happy to say the issue was resolved with **** Bank but there is still the matter with Community Builders for the amount of $1955.00 for them not doing the work at my address.
When I consulted the attorney, I was charged a fee of $500.00 which I had to pay to Michalk Beatty& Alcozer at Law.
Community Builders, took my money and didn't do any work that they were contracted to complete.
Thank you for any assistance you may be able to offer. I can provide copies of receipts upon request.Business Response

House siding - Paid deposit of $2600 in December of 2021, then an additional $10,000 when the job was completed in March of 2022. The job was started on February 19 and completed March 4th. An inspector came out on March 7th and stated that the install failed inspection due to nails everywhere in yard and workmanship on siding. We contacted them on 3/14 and 3/28. No resolution was given. They claim someone spent 4 hours here correcting the issues on June 20th No one was ever here. We contacted them multiple times since then with no resolution. I contacted the office manager Tuesday 9/20 and sent pics of the siding literally falling off the house. I was told I would get a call that day or the next to resolve the issues ASAP. No one called... I messaged again on 9/22 that I had not received a call. I was told they give the workers 72 hours to contact due to being on other jobs and that siding had been ordered to resolve the issues. I have not heard from the company since 9/23. I have reached out 3 times in the last week with no response. The siding has literally fallen off the house in spots and ripped in others.Business Response

My siding which was recently installed. I noticed a piece of siding had came loose. A man came it and put 2 nails in it and said it would be good. Within a
few weeks it became loose again. A different man had came out a put a screw through the siding. Each time a person comes out they have to have a signed completion for his work. I was not satisfied with the work. I also have a piece of siding that looks to be short because you can see a gap which the trim doesn't cover. I asked them to fix that as well. I have been trying to get someone out to fix the problem. I have emails of my correspondence with community builders, I have also called them numerous time. I get told they will be out to fix my problem, but this has not been resolved.Business Response

BBB of Tulsa - I believe Community Builders, Inc., (CBI) has breached their Agreement/Contract with me after over 510+ days of a continuance of no compliance/no construction & no scheduled date to start new construction on my patio & window/door project.
On 3.24.2021, I signed a legal & binding Agreement/Contract with (CBI) (owner: Mr. Greg ******) salesman Rick **** to build a 16'X13' covered patio & 4 door sized windows with sliding doors installed on my East wall of my 2nd living area. Mr. **** told me that construction would start as soon as my custom made windows are completed for them to install; and then they would start building the patio. He said that it will take up to 3 months (90 days) before they get my specially ordered door sized windows/sliding doors back around June, 2021. It's been over 17 months (510+ days) and CBI has not contacted me with a scheduled date to start construction.
I wrote a check to CBI for $10,000.00 on 3.24.2021 as a down payment toward the balance upon completion. Mr. **** told me on March 24, 2021 after writing the check to CBI that he would specially order my custom windows today for installation. Last year on 9.23.2021, I received a call from Karen apologizing more than a half a dozen times that CBI had forgotten about my project. I told her that her apology was accepted; but that I only wanted to know when CBI was going to schedule the construction. Karen has called me three (3) other times within the past year since 9.23.2021 to inform me that she will call me later when they schedule the construction.
BBB, I'm tired of waiting. Summer of 2022 will be over in a couple of weeks.
At this time, I am requesting that CBI start construction of my project before the end of summer 2022; or I'm demanding that CBI refund the entire $10,000.00 down payment at their earliest convenience; and I will go elsewhere to get my patio built and my windows/doors installed. Thank you, Ms. ******* 8.30.2022Business Response

Per the customer's request, we have refunded her full down-payment. Due to several changes in work orders and loss of competent crews for this specific type of work, we have been unable to find anyone that we would trust to perform the work needed (at our level of expectation) at anywhere near what could have been paid to them to perform this work. With the exorbitant increase in price of lumber and other building materials, we would have literally went into the hole for hard costs alone for materials and labor. We had hoped that it would level out, but were willing to do the project anyways. However, we were not able to coordinate crews who would be willing to do it, even with offering to pay more as an incentive. Changing the work orders to a different style of roof caused the amount the installers wanted to be paid to be thousands of dollars more, and as there was no increase in the price of the contract, we simply could not do that.
Included in the the letter with the refund of deposit, we did offer as a gesture of good will to sell the windows and doors we have in our warehouse that were ordered and paid for by us at our cost only.
