I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with IDX, operated by MyIDCare, regarding my experience attempting to activate their monitoring services. After answering the identity verification questions on their website, I was abruptly prompted to contact customer service, with no option to retry the questions or troubleshoot on my own.Upon calling customer service, I received vague and unhelpful guidance. Rather than providing a solution or resetting the verification process, the representative advised me to create a new account using a different email address. When I asked what would happen if the same issue occurred again, they simply repeated the same adviceto keep creating new accounts. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told no supervisor was available. At no point was a concrete or technical solution offered to resolve the issue or to assist with verifying my identity *********** is concerning that a company providing identity monitoring services cannot effectively troubleshoot or support their own account setup process. Based on this experience, I would not recommend IDX to others seeking reliable identity protection services.

Awful Experience. Gave them very personal information due to data breach by **************** for free credit monitoring and then they say they cant complete the set up because they cant identify me and I have to email them. Ive emailed them multiple times with no response. Ive called multiple times and they just leave you on hold. I then requested that my information be deleted on my account page which automatically deletes your account. Now I cant login to my account and they wont send a password reset but they still send me emails about my account so they obviously have not destroyed my information or closed my account, theyve just blocked me from accessing it. I cant trust such a deceptive company and now they have so much of my personal information and Im extremely concerned about what this deceptive company is going to do with it!!! Charm Healthcare and IDX should both be sued.

Like all the other reviews here, I got a similar letter that my data had been compromised through my local healthcare systems. I created an account on **********************, but my instincts told me something wasn't right, so I decided to look into the IDX company. First off, I couldn't find any physical address information on their website or online, NONE. That was a red flag. Clicking through all their sitemap links it eventually sent me to a site named ZeroFox, which is then how I found them here on BBB. I also don't like they claim to be a BBB Accredited Business. False statement, second red flag. Anyway, I'm I did not complete the personal data portion (DOB, SS#, etc) and I completed the *********** tab and closed my account. Trust your instincts and think twice when it comes to giving out your SS#!

I got an alert saying that my son's social was compromised in the ********************** breach. His social was matched to some stranger I do not know. When I called they said they cant do anything and that the alert doesnt actually mean anything. Told me to go to the credit agencies. Like why do I even have this membership with myidcare if i just have to go to the agencies and I cant trust their alerts?Like others have said, I also got the impression that the phone **** dont really have a firm grip on how alerts are generated.

I received a notice in the mail about a data breach and the offered me 2 years credit monitoring but like the others I decided to check out the monitoring company. A notice listed on the website says they are BBB A+ rated, this is clearly not true. I didn't move forward as it appears to be a scam. I wish I could give them zero stars but you have to select at least 1.

I received a "Free" IDX subscription because of a data breach at the hospital. The hospital was compromised again a few months later and I got another "Free" IDX subscription, but could not even access it since the previous subscription was still active (The ** guy was acting like he was really stoned). I blew off trying to resolve that ********** forward a couple of months- My banks free monitoring service sends me 2 notifications that my SSN had been accessed. *** sent nothing to warn me and when I tried to call I was dropped after an hour in the cue. This service is an apparent scam to try and make people feel better about having their data breached. *** does nothing at all from what I can tell.

I received a letter in the mail about a data breach and I can get 2 years free of credit monitoring. I wanted to make sure this was a legit company. This company is saying that they received an A+ from the BBB, however, as you can see I looked them up and the BBB has them not rated or accredited. Which one is true?

Waited an hour on hold to get a representative. The representative was unable to answer basic questions and the enrollment process was confusing.

The site is down now. The site is often slow when it's running. The user interface is terrible. There is no evidence the company's data scan technology does what it advertises. I would never pay for such awful service. The company appears to survive only with lucrative government contracts.
