Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the customer service I received on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, around 1:30 PM at the Les Schwab location in ***********, Oregon.I visited this location to purchase four new tires for a Tesla ************** patiently waiting for assistance, a staff member who identified himself as ***** (or ***) approached me. I explained that I had previously received a quote for the tires and provided my phone number so he could retrieve the information.Immediately after I gave him my phone number, ***** raised his voice repeatedly, saying wait, wait, wait in a rude and condescending manner, as if I had done something wrong. When I calmly told him there was no need to raise his voice, he continued to speak loudly, even in front of other customers, insisting that it was simply his normal voice. This behavior was both disrespectful and unprofessional. From what I observed earlier, ***** appeared upset due to a prior disagreement with another customer. Regardless of his mood, it is completely unacceptable for a customer service representative to take out frustrations on customers or humiliate them publicly. This issue is not just about my experienceits about how every single customer is treated. Every person who walks into that location deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. The poor treatment I witnessed reflects a larger issue with how customer service is handled at this location.I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau notify Les Schwab of this complaint and encourage corrective action to prevent similar incidents in the future.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

After being stranded 2 miles from home with an under-warranty but dead Les Schwab battery, we were told by the Service Mgr. that we would have a 3-hour wait and also be charged $320 for a jump-start, although they were only 2 miles away and open for another 2 hours as well! Due to a local boating festival, they had multiple trucks sitting idly by the Rogue River just in case one of the trucks hauling a speedboat needed any help. What? Our same battery died a week ago in ******* and we received free and immediate help, but not here. We've been loyal Les Schwab customers for many years, but no more. My *********** husband had to hike 1.5 miles in the heat to get our truck in order to perform our own jump-start. That's such pool customer service at the *********** south location on ************!

We regret that the Stephensons had a negative experience at the Les Schwab tire center located at ****************************************************************, (the Grants Pass Tire Center). We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
As background, Memorial Day weekend is typically one of the Grants Pass Tire Centers busiest days. This year was no exception. According to Les Schwabs records, the Stephensons called the Grants Pass Tire Center at around 5:00 p.m. on May 24, 2025the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and the Boatnik festival. The Stephensons explained that they suffered a dead car battery near their home and requested help.
The Grants Pass Tire Center assistant manager answered the call. He explained that all service trucks were working the Boatnik festival. He also let the Stephensons know that the Grants Pass Tire Center was busy working on over 120 customer vehicles that day alone. He explained that unfortunately Les Schwab could not help immediately, but he would be happy to dispatch his next available employee and service truck as soon as they became available. The Assistant Manager also assured the Stephensons that he would work with them on pricingespecially if the battery was under warranty because, in those circumstances, only the cost of the out-of-store service call would be charged.
Les Schwab apologizes for the inconvenience that this incident caused the Stephensons and would like to assure them that Les Schwab remains committed to providing the best service and products possible.

The ***************** Manager said nothing about "working with us on pricing," but said definitely that the "festival delayed service call" would cost us $320! That was all he said about pricing and everyone who heard our story couldn't believe that just one of all those Les Schwab trucks at the festival couldn't drive a few miles to help two people with a Les Schwab battery still under warranty who are both in their mid-70s and prevent the husband from walking home over a mile in the terrible heat. "Not very great customer service" we heard from person after person. By the way, we have accessed virtually every service that the Les Schwab centers provide and have always previously been very satisfied. Unfortunately, not this time!

Paid around 2000 dollars for new tires and forgot an alignment but remembered when the new tire pulled to the right. Made an appointment for the alignment. the truck still pulled to the right, went back and got another alignment, that one still pulled to the right. went on vacation and thought I would deal with this later. Got back and called to say it still was not right and was told it had been more than 30 days, so I brought it back for the third try, this one worked but was thinking they would not charge me, well wrong, so I paid 260 or so and wasted about 6+ hours for a simple alignment, all the while my old tires went straight down the road .I did not feel like fighting this day so I will get any alignments in future somewhere else. It is sad, I used to have a lot of respect for les Schwab for the way conducted business, but I think maybe they are just another business trying to get as much money from you as they can,sad

He smiled at tire guy, tires put on and keys given to me it bounced all over the road. I CALLED BACK wrong struts and shocks were put on. I was told to come in Saturday and the right ones put on, after they replaced wrong ones I notice on backing turning to right I heard rubbing and when I got home my husband saw broke shock on passenger side. This place needs investigated. Dangerous to public

I would never take another vehicle to less swab Tire in my life. I took my truck in to have a tire repaired and ask if they would look at the front end they did And told me I needed upper control arms and ball joints. They said they had adjustable control arms and they would replace them at an outrageous price. So I bought aftermarket, adjustable control arms. And me and a friend, put them on. I took my truck in to big o to get it aligned. They told me I needed tie rod Ends, so I took it to Les. Swab for a second opinion they told me I needed tie rod ends and gave me a price. To replace those and align it, which wasn't too bad. So I told them to go ahead and do it about an hour and a 1/2 later. They called me and said the truck was done, but they had a little problem that they could not align it all the way because i needed control arms and I told them that the new ones are adjustable control arms. They put me on hold and went out and looked and came back and told me that they would have to charge by the hour to adjust them. And they were not familiar with those control arms. I went in to talk to the manager and he told me that they did everything they could. But my truck will pull to the right. I told them well then, you did not align it and I would not pay for the alignment. I would pay for the Tie rod ends they put on. Let's go ******* said that I have to pay so I took my keys and said I would call corporate office on Monday and if they said I had to pay I would come back in and pay them. ******* said no he was calling the police. They put an arrest or warrant out for me. And I called their corporate on Monday. Did not get any satisfaction from them either? So I went ahead and paid them on Monday. And they dropped their warrant. I took it to a mom and pop shop And they laughed when I told them less swab Said they did not know how to adjust the control arms. So I had an arrest warrant out on me and had to pay twice to have my truck aligned.

We regret that *** **** had a negative experience with the ******************************************** Les Schwab prides itself on superior customer service, takes concerns very seriously, and investigates the underlying facts of all customer concerns.
According to Les Schwabs records, *** **** brought his 2010 ****** Tundra Pickup (vehicle) to the tire center on March 24, 2025, for alignment. However, beforehand, *** **** installed aftermarket aluminum adjustable control arms that he purchased online. These control arms lacked any brand or adjustment specifications, and this was the first time that the tire centers team had ever encountered this design of control arms.
The team performed initial alignment work that included replacing *** ***** tie rods. Their work ensured that the tire wear was even across the vehicle but caused the vehicle to pull to the right. To finish the alignment and negate the right-side pull, they needed to adjust the control arms. However, since they had never encountered this design of control arms before, and to avoid breaking the control arms altogether, they needed documentation about the aftermarket aluminum control armssuch as make, model, torque specifications, etc.
The store manager requested this documentation from *** ***** He also informed *** **** that the alignment process would cost an hourly charge since it appeared they would need to take off, adjust, and then re-mount the control arms to complete the alignment.
Upon receiving this information, however, *** **** got upset and refused to provide any information. He told the store employees that since they work in an alignment shop, they needed to figure it out. He also said that he would not pay for any of the work performed on his vehicle. The store manager repeated that all he needed was information about the control arms to ensure a safe, efficient, and to-specification alignment. But *** **** was adamant and refused to provide that documentation.
At this point, *** **** also said that he would not pay for any of the parts or work performed on his vehicle. The store manager continued to try and talk to *** **** and explain to him he only needed documentation to adjust the control arms in the manner they were designed to be adjusted. In response, *** **** took the keys to his vehicle, said he wouldnt pay a cent, and walked out of the tire center. The store manager told *** **** that he would need to report nonpayment as theft if he left without paying. *** **** left anyway. So, the store manager called the police to report the theft of goods and services.
*** **** eventually paid the invoice after being contacted by the **************************** However, *** **** still has not provided any information about the aftermarket aluminum control arms.
Although we respectfully disagree with the allegations in the customers report, ********************** would like to assure the customer that we remain committed to providing the best service and products possible

I had brand new rims and tires installed on my truck a few months ago. Everything seemed fine at first, until I noticed a missing lug nut just a couple of weeks laterafter only driving about 160 miles. I had been extremely busy and couldnt make it back to the shop right away, but when I did, I was greeted by ***** *****, the manager. He said he would order a replacement lug nut for me.After about another month with no word, I called to check in. Thats when ***** suddenly changed his tone and told me it was my fault because I was supposed to re-torque the rimsa detail that was never explained to me. Despite this, he eventually agreed to order the lug nut again. Weeks passed, and I still heard nothing, so I followed up again. He told me it was finally on its way. When I went in to pick it up, a friendly employee was ready to help, but as soon as I walked in, ***** came out of his office, slammed the box down on the counter, and very rudely said, Here you go. I asked if they would install it for me, and he flat-out refused, then told me I could take my business elsewhere. This experience was beyond unprofessional. I highly recommend taking your business to Discount Tire over Les Schwab, especially if this is how they treat loyal ************ make things worse, I work for a company that provided services to Les Schwab all summer and winter, and ***** delayed payment for months. Meanwhile, we paid our bills to them right away and even purchased several sets of tires from this location. Apparently, accountability and respect are one-way expectations for *****.Never again.

I am a 26 year old female who was taken advantage of at Les Schwab. I initially went into Les Schwab because the low tire pressure icon showed up as I was leaving work. I went in and they quickly put air into my tires, but they did notice that I had some glass in my tires and offered to take it out and patch it up. I allowed them to do this and I waited inside for about 30 minutes. Then they come out and tell me that they are working on it it still, but they recommend I get my tires siped. I had no idea what getting my tires siped meant and they didnt fully explain to me what it was, they just made it sound that it was important I get them siped and that it will help me in the long run. As soon as I agreed I instantly felt that it was the wrong thing to do. Keep in mind, my car is a 2023 ********** Eclipse Cross, so it is fairly new and in great condition. As soon as they were done they told me that they got rid of the glass and siped my tires. I asked them one last time if the traction was bad on my tires and they told me that my tires were in great condition. I paid for the service but I left very frustrated that they sold me an unnecessary service when they knew from the beginning that my tires were in great condition. I left feeling taken advantage of and with unnecessary scratches in my tire. Shame on Les Schewab and other mechanics who take advantage of others, especially the ones who have minimal knowledge about cars.
