    Kahut/***************** didn't come to get my trash on Friday, 12/23/22, due to the ice/snow storm. Totally understandable. My problem is they're now telling me they're going to perform a "makeup service" on the following Friday, 12/30/22, That's not a makeup day, it's just my regular pickup day. No makeup day is being offered. I called and asked for a credit, but received a call back saying they don't offer credits. Is it legal to charge for work you didn't do? I am asking for a refund/credit of $8.47 for the service they didn't provide. My normal monthly bill is $36.70. If you multiply that by 12 months, it's $440.40 per year. 52 pickups a year makes the amount they should refund me $8.47.

    Hi,

    When we experience inclement weather events that prevent us from safely operating our collections vehicles for one business day, we will delay service by one day and complete Friday customer collection on Saturday. If the snow/ice event prevents us from operating for two days or more days we are bound by D.O.T. Hours of Service regulations which require us to delay service until the following week. In this case, which is the scenario that prompted the complaint, we will collect double the normal service level for all waste streams at no additional charge. For example, if a customer has a 35 gallon trash cart 1x weekly we will pickup an additional 35 gallons at no charge on the next scheduled collection day. 

    It is never an easy decision to delay service, but the safety of our employees and community members is first and foremost.
