I purchased a new car in the beginning of this year from Arottas Auto **** a ********** Mirage G4 and have been paying on it since February. I had a good score on my credit card before I did this. I will admit, a few months I was maybe 2 or 3 days late on payments but I have always paid. After trading in my original car for the one I have now, I was offered this new loan from OCCU. I went through 3 months of nothing wrong with my credit score. Suddenly I had my payments coming back to me from OCCU while banking with STCU here in ******* **. The problems started with phone calls coming from OCCU stating that my car payments were not coming in. Im not knowing who to blame but my score went down drastically. This month, OCCU called me and told me that my bill was not paid this month. I told them that I paid online through their website. The person on the phone checked and then said that I paid only ****** out of the ****** that I owed them. I actually paid ****** through their website. My credit score went down dramatically due to them telling the credit bureau that I did not pay. The payment was on the 20th and I paid them. I would like to report this OCCU company for falsely reporting a non payment not once but at least 4 times. My credit score is supposed to be up close to 700! I am a 59 year old female with 4 jobs and no reason to not pay my bills on time, the car is my money maker so I NEED it. *** had no problem with ANY other bill that I pay, so why is it so difficult for OCCU and/or STCU to figure this out? The other car that I had before this had no problems with receiving payments from a different company which was bought at the same dealership.Business Response

I was unemployed and could not afford full coverage insurance for my auto loan. I parked the car. **** told me that they were gonna charge me an extra 100$ a month for collateral insurance but as soon as I got proof of insurance they would remove the extra charge. When I got a job and could afford insurance and provided the info to them they dropped a bombshell on me and said they added ***** dollars onto my loan principal and completely reversed what they told me before. It's not fair they lied to me and made me think that when I got auto insurance my payment would go back to normal. ************** for a year does not cost $***** in any case. I feel like I got scammed. This is classic bank bait and switch. They told me they were buying monthly collateral insurance. They didn't mention any of the $***** and increased monthly payment until after I provided proof to their insurance department. That's something that should be conveyed up front. If I had known the truth I would have done things differently. For instance, they credited me back $1000 of the $5000 they said they spent on the collateral insurance but my Payment didn't go back down any. Before it was around $450. Now it's $555 a month.Business Response

On 07/05/23 my car loan was reported 30 days late to credit bureaus. There was fraud on my checking account ending in **** therefore it was fully closed and i was issued a new checking account number. All transactions were stopped from this account due to this reason. Once I was told that the checking account will not process any transactions i made a payment with a debit card of $795. I've had a rough patch and it has not ended, my grandmother was ill in the hospital for more than 2 weeks, she passed away on Sunday night. I'm asking OCCU to please help me out and work with me on getting this reporting cleared as it has affected my credit drastically and I need funding to help with funeral expenses. I am rejecting this response because:
Seems like due to the complaint I made someone from the credit department thought well lets go ahead and report march late too. This is the biggest s**** you Ive seen from OCCU. Depression and anxiety is one thing and having my grandma pass away has led for it to be worse day by day. OCCU could care less. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE

My bank, Oregon Community Credit Union, cancelled my debit card before I received a new one. They sent new cards before the old ones expired because they signed a contract with a new debit card company. Now Im waiting up to a week for a new card to come in the mail and Im left with no debit card in an area that doesnt have an OCCU branch location. Because of their decision I now have to go without important medication because I order it online with my debit card. They are not providing any assistance with this and seem to have no issue with cancelling functional debit cards that their clients rely on.Business Response

This branch is again claiming payments are not being made and adding late fees despite the direct deposit amount they set up clearing the bank each month. They are now adding late fees every month despite the payments clearing the bank. January 2023:Loan payment made on 1/19/23 ($343.98)Late fee applied on 1/28/23 February 2023:Loan payment made on 2/21/23 ($343.98)Late fee applied on 2/28/23 March 2023:Payment made on 3/21/23 ($343.98)Received phone call on 4/27/23 stating loan was more than 40 days past due. This is not the first time this branch has not **************** appropriately. This happened in February of 2021 and again in 2022 when I had to make my first complaint through BBB as I had to make a second payment to prevent additional negative marks on my credit as the previous payment I had made did not get applied to the loan.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because they have now stopped withdrawing the automatic payments which has caused the payment to be late again. This has also happened twice before and each time it is difficult to get through to someone to get them set back up. I am unsure why the automated payments keep getting stopped despite the funds being in the bank. There have been so many mistakes on this loan, I think it would be reasonable to have this loan dissolved entirely and the bank take over ownership of the vehicle due to the stress, loss of money and damage to credit caused by the numerous errors made.
Sincerely,

OCCU has and continues to report incorrect payment history to Experian. OCCU has erroneously reported to Experian that I was 30 days late in March of 2023 on an account beginning with 470183XXXXXXXXXX. The last 4 of my SSN are ****. The fact is the account was charged off in September 2017 and included in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in July of 2018. How can I have missed a payment in March of 2023 on an account that was charged off in 2017 and included in a 2018 Chapter 13. I have disputed the information several times with ******** and OCCU refuses to correct or remove inaccurate information from my credit report. At this point the account should be totally removed since OCCU can't seem to correct the reporting. This will be my last attempt to remedy the situation before hiring an Oregon Consumer Law Attorney.Business Response

On 01/31 I made a payment of $794.91 to OCCU over the phone and made sure I asked the representative will this payment reflect today and it wont report 30 days late to my credit report he assured my 2 times yes it wont. Today I get a notification saying late payment and it was OCCU once again. This company is ruining my credit by false reporting. The payment was already withdrawn on the first which is 1 day for processing. I made the payment before cut off time aswell and it still reported late. Im here trying to fix my credit while OCCU is ruining my credit.Business Response

I took out a loan in September of '22 for $28K and paid it off within a few weeks, and OCCU didn't require any income verification. I recently tried to take out another loan to purchase equipment for our farm, and my credit profile hasn't changed, except for a home sale and a home purchase. I gave them proof of income as it stands with my tax returns, and as a business owner, of course, I'm not going to forego deductions, but I included what annual revenue I made, which is an increase over my last two tax returns. When I asked for more information, the loan assistant said it was because of guidelines, equity, yada, yada. I don't understand how granting a loan with no income verification previously is equitable for other applicants. This experience was a major disappointment.Business Response
