    I came into surgeon family appliance on January 19, 2023. My goal was to purchase a more energy efficient and newer washer and dryer set. I owned a set that needed some work but was operational. They told me the Whirlpool Duet set with pedestals were great working, had been tested multiple times and they were clean. They said I was getting a deal at $1199. I paid them in full with a check. They said they were to be delivered after 12 on Friday the 20th. Then they said they were coming closer to 9pm so we changed delivery to Saturday. They showed up later than expected and when they hooked up the dryer it didnt work at all. The washer had a soap dispenser that didnt lock and leaked. The set was not cleaned like promised as well. They sent someone out the next day to look at the dryer and still couldnt fix it so brought a loaner dryer. Then they said that was the dryer I was stuck with. I asked for them to come pick up the set and give me my money back and my old set. They are now trying to charge me for the return of my old set and still havent come to retrieve the set they sold me or return my money. Now when talking to them about my displeasure instead of trying to work something out they are yelling and hanging up on me. This is extremely upsetting and frustrating. I feel like I have been scammed and betrayed by choosing to buy from a small business rather than a corporation.
