I am writing to file a complaint against Out of the Box Technology regarding their consulting services. My company, ******** **************** hired them to clean up our QuickBooks, with payment made upfront in the amount of $3,153. Despite numerous requests, we never received confirmation of what was actually completed on our books.Additionally, the training included in our contract was not provided. Furthermore, their work has left our financial reports with inaccurate data, significantly impacting our business operations. The company has made no attempts to resolve these issues.Given these circumstances, I am requesting a refund for the services.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I hired the company as consultants to give me advice on a few things. The people that I spoke with told me to ****** it. And the one person that was supposed to be helping as well was not even on the phone half the time. I had discussed with the billing people that the bill would be dropped well below the bill amount. Then they sent me another bill for an amount that was not discussed and sent me two collections.

I purchased a package of hours, which were meant to be enough to complete all the accounting work I needed done from the past couple of years. On Feb 13th, the person working on my books said that the hours were used up before the project was done, and that I needed to get a new package or be charged full price moving forward. At this point, I let the company know that I did not want any additional work done because I felt they were trying to take extra money from me by lying about the time spent. After several meetings, they finally submitted a new pricing proposal to me, which I turned down and said we would not be looking to use them again. After turning down their proposal, I received invoices for work done in January, a month before they ever advised me that the time had already been used up...and I received an invoice for work done 3 days after I had already told them to NOT do any work. I called several times to address the issue but no one ever calls back, but they did try to auto draft the amount they say is due from my checking account, which meant I had to do a stop payment because I did not authorize the transactions. After that, I again called, asking for a call back from the billing manager, but didn't receive one. Now they are sending me paper invoices.

My business closed May 25, 2023 and notified Out of the box on May 17, 2023 that the business will be closing and I will no longer need their services. I was advised on May 18 that my account would be closed out. In July I received multiple bills from Out of the box that not all of my accounts have been closed. I advised them that i was never advised that there were multiple accounts but i was explicit in May that the business was closed and i will no longer need their services. Everyday i am still receiving emails regarding post closing fees in the amount of $130, claiming the account wasnt closed until July 23, but ***************** advised me on May 18th that my account was closed. My bookkeeper sent an email on May 25 confirming the closed. This amount needs to be written off as i was clearly stated and advised that i no longer need their services. I did not use their service post that date.

I signed a contract to have accounting/book keeping work done. I was very clear with what I could afford being a small business. I was told could bill just 2-3 hours per billing cycle (at $155 per hour). I assumed the billing cycle was per month. My contract does not state how long the billing cycle is. my invoices are $480-$500 per TWO WEEKS! I cannot afford this and they really didn't help much at all so I have no clue what I paid for. This has caused severe financial and emotional burden. They need to be more specific and not practice such shady sales tactics.I would love a refund of at least one billing cycle worth of work, because the work has not been helpful. but in the very least they need to improve the sales tactics and be specific with the billing cycles on their contracts
