    I've noticed since I've been living at ******************** flat Apartments that when I call the office no one ever answers the phone it could be a dire emergency and I'm pretty sure they're screening calls but they don't answer the phone at all. On top of that there was a situation with the maintenance guy lost his keys and they were supposed to be doing lock changes for people they never notified me nor change my lock now I have somebody that's been coming into my apartment stealing things breaking things moving things around. My laptop came up broken I had to fix it myself my projector brand new projector came up broken.

    Im supposed to be paying ******** for rent. Due every 1st of the month. Yet every time after that date I have water, ***************** charged after. There are charges from September claimed as late fees being added to my rent in November which makes no sense. 7 days later a ****** late fee is taxed on. Trying to pay the bill the online payment is never available. If someone has a way to pay- even if it is late that should be an option as many people dont have transportation to go all the way to the office downtown. If youre going to charge for utilities it should be on the same day as rent, not 27 days after. Now the bill has gotten to ******** with late ********** constantly never the same. Not only is it ridiculously high, the services are barely accessible to make payments in ways that are realistic. Management never answers the phone, extremely resilient to be responsive, & communicative actions are poor when trying to handle problems or working with people at all. Being here for a total of almost a year its been a very poor experience. Robbery.

    I live in a first floor apartment rented from ekoliving. Over the last several months I have made multiple complaints against another tenant smoking on the property right outside my front door/window. This has led to my apartment constantly smelling strongly of weed and cigarette smoke to the point I have had to vacate my apartment. Despite all of the complaints I have filed no corrective action has been taken as the behavior continues and the property management has made no effort to enforce the no smoking clause in their rental agreement. I would like my rental payment of $999.00 for the month of October, 2023 returned as I have not been able to live in my apartment due to the inaction of property management.

    Horrible experience with this management company. Getting in touch with them for anything else other than requesting maintenance through their app is almost impossible. On my lease renewal they practically doubled my rent from $1199 to $2133 and when I finally managed to get in touch with them and ask them what's with this ridiculous rent raise they told me it's a mistake and fixed it a few days later and sent me a lease with corrected amounts. I signed a paper lease renewal in November 2022, Notarized it and brought it to their office and I was told I'm good to go by *** (one of the managers there), she handed the notary letter and lease to her assistant and told him to put it in my file. I thought, ok that went alright because I hate moving if not necessary so it went well. Four months later I got an email that the building I live in sold (out of nowhere, no notice or any communication beforehand) and that all previous leases will be transferred to the new company. Low and behold the new company doesn't have my renewal lease that I signed and they put me on a month to month basis (which I hate because I feel insecure in my home), asked Ekoliving to find my signed renewal lease so I can personally bring it to the new company and they have lost it so there's no signed lease to be found anywhere and they were extremely unhelpful and told me there's nothing they can do. So technically they have illegally broken my signed notarized lease without any reason except that "they lost it"(their excuse). Now I'll have to file a lawsuit for illegally breaking my lease and deal with this shady company even though I did everything properly on my part. Don't sign leases with Ekoliving unless you want to be put in h*** by the uncaring useless management. Thank you for the unnecessary stress that you've caused me.The lease that was signed is attached.

    We have reached out to the new management company several times to try and rectify the situation and we haven't received a response. If he is MTM with the new company then there would be no lease break fee involved.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory but I don't want to deal with them anymore.
    I've given up with this company and will definitely never deal with them for the rest of my life and will make sure to let everyone I know how they operate. I'm dealing with the lease issue with the new building owner since Ekoliving is absolutely hopeless. They don't even seem to understand how the law works, they did break the lease even though they claim if I'm month to month it's OK. Maybe it's ok to them but not to me or the law. How a 15 months notarized lease gets ignored, lost, cancelled and dropped to month to month is legal in their minds is beyond me.
