    Awful property management company, maintenance will lie about what caused an issue to drum up more charges for the management company. Stay away from Ekoliving and WDC properties.

    I do not recommend signing a lease with this company. Random "lending" inspections, rent increases, surcharges and fees added to each rent, rude property management. My official complaint to BBB is coming, but if you are considering eKoLiving, read the other one-star review for other reasons not to do business with this company. Save yourself the frustration and rent somewhere else.

    I regret sharing this review with disappointment, anticipating a positive resolution from the management, which unfortunately proved far from reality. When a flood occurred around 9:00 pm on Monday, 11/20, permeating through my ceiling lights, walls, electric outlets, light switches, and sprinkler system, the management failed to reach out or show any concern. Despite assurances from emergency maintenance technicians, no contact was initiated for eight full days, compelling me to take the first step.The management and maintenance team exhibited rudeness, dismissiveness, and a lack of responsiveness to maintenance requests unless consistently prompted. Confronted with damages from my neighbor's destructive behavior, a four-day work absence, and displacement from my apartment, the management refused to waive rent and termination fees for an early lease break. The prolonged delay in addressing mold-infested floors in my upstairs neighbors apartment raises concerns about timely maintenance.Beyond the lack of responsibility in addressing the mold infestation, the persisting issues of broken car windows, stolen packages, cigarette smoke, dog feces, an overflowing trash zone, and the stench of urine in hallways and sidewalks make this living situation a disaster. EkoLiving's supposedly affordable "modern" apartments and misleading "mission statement" hide a predatory approach, leading tenants to the cheapest and poorest quality dwellings in ********. Waiting eight days to address mold and threatening a late rent notice after initially refusing rent waivers hardly qualifies as superior customer service. Approach leasing with caution, document all agreements in writing, as attempts to misconstrue words may occur, as I personally experienced. Fortunately, email receipts served as crucial evidence to refute misleading claims.
