After buying our car, we discovered it had a rough idle and shuttering. We returned and they replaced the battery tie-down but wouldnt do anything else because there was no code.We left. The rough idle and the shuttering continued. They said, bring it back.We were told it needed a new transmission, they were taking care of it and it would be certified remanufactured. We asked for paperwork. The next day we got a text saying, heres the paperwork and oops it wasnt the transmission they replaced, it was the torque converter. The idling problem was fixed, but the car was still shuttering. They said, bring it in.A week after taking it in, we still hadnt heard anything. They either ignored our calls or promised a call back that never came.We got a call from a separate mechanic who theyd taken the car to, and he asked us WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS.That mechanic finally decided it was the engine mounts - normal wear and tear so they wont cover it.Thats fair. But the experience had been so frustrating that we decided to contact ******** directly. She asked what she could do to make it right. We said hed like the vehicle fixed so we wouldnt have to worry about it being something worse. She said sure, shed order the parts and have it ready by Saturday.**** called to ask if we were coming to pick it up. We then found out they didnt install the parts. **** outright refused to fix it and said he wouldnt do it even if ******** told him to.Were tried multiple times to contact ******** and instead heard only from **** who eventually told us ******** said to give us the car back, not fixed, despite her promise. We took the car in to be checked since the mounts made the problem worse. After $1,000 on a new alternator, the mechanic found $4,000 more of repairs and also heard a horrible noise coming from the TRANSMISSION that Grip said they fixed.I tried calling the Grip to see if they would refund us the lemon they sold us. ******** again refused to talk to me.

    Hello,

Vehicle was purchased 09/05/2024. Compaint coming in 03/13/2025

Sold as-is. A 3month-4500mile warranty was gifted free of charge. When issues came up, client was offered loaner free of charge. Vehicle went to a 3rd party ****** shop who did all of the work on this vehicle. Client kept writing to my cell which after many harassing messages contact was stopped and both buyers were informed I would no longer offer help. There were no professional conversations to be had. Parts they wanted were delivered as promised. I will say this, as soon as my business is threatened communication will stop. They were informed. I will not be communicating with this client. Help was offered, delivered and no respectful communication was made on their side. Vehicle is sold as-is.

I am rejecting this response because:
The only reason we continued to try to communicate with Grip was because the communication was terrible and no one was answering our questions or theyd promise to call us and then never did.

After contacting ******** directly about our experience, she promised that the mounts would be installed in the vehicle. They were not, and her mechanic told us he refused to do it. We tried to contact her again because it was a Saturday and we had all our plans on hold while we tried to get this taken care of. We wanted to know HER decision since she was the one to make the promise. We had spent weeks taking every day off to go back back-and-forth to try to get this car fixed. Then she completely ghosted us.

It is not harassment to try to contact a business who promised to fix your car and then refused and ghosted you.

They gave us the run around, lied about what they had fixed, refused to fix what they promised to fix, and then blamed us for trying to contact them to figure out what in the world was going on.

A warranty is useless if they are just going to waste time helping you until you run out of time to get it fixed. We TRIED to get this fixed within the timeline of the warranty, but they did so many underhanded things that we are outside that time frame.

This is no way to run a business.

    Sincerely,

    **** ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Nothing has been done to try to remedy the $9,000 we lost on this vehicle. We were lied to, promised services that were not delivered, and then ghosted and blamed for harassment for literally just trying to get in contact with them. I was then threatened by the owner that she was going to get a lawyer. We never threatened anything beyond filing a BBB complaint, which we did do because it was justified.

    Sincerely,

So I purchased a vehicle from this sham company out of ******. They said the car was good to go, nothing wrong with it etc. I received the car, literally drove 1/4 mile around the block. Come back and my fianc goes whys it smoking so bad?? So I start looking, the air filter is plugged solid, its puking coolant all over my garage floor. Then I get the car vin checked and smogged, per there request. Send it back to them. Well they decided to mail the paperwork to the wrong address. Not to mention, I went to my local pd to run their temp tag. Comes back as nothing. So I basically paid 20k for a car FROM A DEALER THAT I CANNOT DRIVE LEGALLY. the owner goes Im sorry , Im trying. This is complete and utter scam central. Im awaiting a call back from an attorney. Literally every piece of paperwork Ive received from said dealer has been falsified, inaccurate. But now I have a car I cant drive cause this dealer cant do their job. This is a joke

I am rejecting this response because:I still have a vehicle that I cannot drive. You own a dealership, and knew nothing about your temporary Oregon permit. Not to mention your sales guy listed the first permit as an outback, which it isnt. Plus, these permits are only good for 21 days, yet your sales guy wrote down it expiring 10-3-24. Basic math will tell you thats way beyond 21 days. Not to mention I have all the messages I sent to ********, and none of them were rude or anything of the sort. If you own a dealership, dont you think you would know the laws?!?!? Not them! ***** literally told me on the phone, they dont care about **********, which is fine, then dont sell cars to **********, my local police department is who ran their bogus temp tag. I just want to drive a car I purchased from this illegitimate dealer, thats not asking a whole lot in my opinion. I mean why would someone buy a car they cant drive? Makes no sense.

    Sincerely,
