Do not do your business banking with this Bank or use *****. The bank contract with ***** does not include or allow OnPoint staff to contact ***** if your payment is on hold (gets put on hold) by *****. If you are a newer user (payments within the last year), they will hold all your payments if you try any back-to-back payments of $1000. I spent an hour trying to get a payment through on Friday (was told everything was clear), and on Monday, I was back, unable to send the final payment. This cost me an extra $200 per my contract agreement for a late fee, all because onpoint HAS NO DIRECT CONTACT with *****????! I've been a member since 1993 and will be taking my business elsewhere. BAD business.

CHECK CROSS COLLATERALS THEY CAN TAKE YOUR CAR THEN DEMAND YOU PAY IN FULL FOR YOUR CAR AND ANY OTHER LOAN OR CREDIT CARD I don't even know where to start. OnPoint has completely failed me when I needed support the most. A few months ago, they tried to repossess my car without proper notice. I managed to scrape together over $3,000 to stop it, thinking things were finally back on track. Then a couple months later--after I already lost my home to financially catch up and told them what I was going through--they took my car anyway. No flexibility. No empathy. They knew I was in crisis and still chose to take away my only way to get to work, appointments, or even get groceries. It feels like they were waiting for me to fall and the only way I can get my car back is if I pay FULL for BOTH my car and credit card. It's unrealistic and I paid half my car loan.On top of everything, I've been dealing with identity theft. My accounts have been compromised, and I've reported suspicious activity, but I've gotten no real support from the bank. Instead of helping me sort it out, they've made my life harder at every turn. This experience has been traumatizing. I've done everything I could to be responsible, even while facing loss after loss. OnPoint has treated me like I'm just a number in their system--not a real person trying to survive. If you're thinking about doing business with them, think long and hard. When things go wrong--and they sometimes do--you'll want a bank that has your back. This is not that bank.

********* account-no longer able to pay it off online. There was zero communication that such transactions need to be paid via a phone call only. Repeatedly tried to pay off a .03 balance online. OnPoint then reported to the credit bureau that we had a late payment. OnPoint will not allow disputes even when .03 account charge was taken care of via phone.

What a Mickey ***** operation. On a Sunday my debit card was declined for a major purchase, probably because the amount was a bit over the limit that I set on the account. With a ********************** card I would have called **** and asked to have the amount approved, they would have done it, and fine. But debit is handled by Onpoint. No customer ********************** on Sundays or holidays.not even for debit cards. So I had to use my credit card to pay, and then transfer the money. When I asked why I couldnt get service, the answer was we are not open on Sundays. No understanding of the problem, no rationale, no empathy. The only reason I still bank here is because mobile banking is functional, and they have a competitive high yield interest rate. Unfortunately, some other credit unions are even worse, if you can imagine that.

Business asks for feedback, which I have given several times in the past, but nothing changes. So, no thanks.

Horrible experience with online check deposit. Getting the run around and still no answers. It's been three days. And still my check is not deposited into my account. Very frustrating and costing me unnecessary fees. We will never trust them again.

I think most people that work at branches are excellent. I think the problem is those at Corporate. When I got me car loan I kept getting threatening letters they were going to insure my car because I hadn't given them sufficient proof, although they had received it three times. Finally I hit them with "good faith law" and the backed away.Years later, we had money stolen from a debit card... some of it protected under Federal trade rules and regulations. Onpoint however refuses to refund the money.. we now have another "good faith" issue. This will be a dog fight I'm not backing off of.****

Suddenly I couldnt find the record of my credit card purchases from Jan.2020 to April 2023.The assistant on the phone tried to tell me to simply get my e-statements, or try listing the tally in reverse order of the dates. I kept saying- why can I not see purchases 11 months ago? ! I tried to get him to understand- this is a problem w/OnPoint, will they be fixing it? and he couldn't answer it. I have been w/them for 30+ years & have run into other problems. /i have spent about 2 hrs trying to resolve this. They said they'd send old statements, needing 3-5 biz days to receive them. It's been 7 biz days, nothing in the mail. I am about to leave them. and I will report this to Salem, Consumer Biz Affairs.

I went to the ***************** branch to close accounts yesterday. I waited for ten minutes at the teller row just to check in. I told the teller the purpose of my visit, then waited in the lobby for another 35 minutes, but no one came to help me or just to check if I had been helped. I had to leave after 45 minutes because my lunch break was up. Today, I called them to make an appointment, but was told to just go to the branch because they don't make appointments between 11 and 2. I work at a bank. This is unacceptable if this happened at my branch. They advertise that OnPoint is the best credit union in ******. What a joke. I wouldn't give them a star if that was an option. People are not the point to them, obviously.
