Providence has been billing me for a claim that should have been resolved with *****. They are well aware of the issue and it is well documented. I have been told MANY times that it was an internal issue and it will be corrected. Well, months later I am STILL being billed for it and today I was notified that it will go to collections???!!! Really!!! Please contact me ASAP to get this corrected. I will otherwise seek legal counsel for the distress you have caused with your negligence.

Providence Mission Heritage Billing keeps making errors on every single one of my bills. This time the Providence *************** is soliciting a co-payment for my 18-year-old son. I am not his legal guarantor, my ex-husband is, and I have no contact with my ex-husband. I have made numerous phone calls to the billing department asking them to correct their errors. I have furnished them with my son's information and his dad, ***************************************** information as ********************** is the guarantor responsible for paying this bill. I have called, mailed letters, emailed, and written through My Chart and they refuse to honor my divorce decree and this legal information. We are leaving this medical group as a result of their faulty billing that is affecting my credit.

In January of this year I went to Providence Queen of the Valley to see a primary care doctor to receive a yearly physical. Im a healthy 31 year old woman but seeing that I havent had an in person physical in over 5 years - I figured this was the right thing to do. My doctors visit lasted all of *********************************************** that I should schedule routine blood work with another part of the hospital. As a younger woman she wanted to check my iron levels and check for anemia. Pretty standard. I returned to the hospital a few days later to get my blood drawn. Quick and easy visit with my appointment. In and out in ***************************************** a matter of days. The routine blood work my doctor ordered ended up being 9 different tests. Fast forward a month later and I receive a bill in the mail for $2050.00. YES THEY WANT OVER $2000 FOR WHAT MY DOCTOR DESCRIBED AS routine blood work. Over $2000 even though I have pretty good health insurance through Blue Shield. They charged over $800 each for 2 of those tests. The original charge before my insurance was over $3000. I never would have imagined that I would go into debt because of the greed of a local hospital when all I wanted was routine blood work to check my iron levels. Ive sent letters and communications to both Providence and my insurance company to appeal this bill. Even the estimate calculator on their own website shows prices for each blood test - the prices they claim to charge are nowhere near as high as what they are trying to charge me. NO SUCH LUCK. My only option at this point is to pursue legal action.

I visited Queen of the Valley on 06/19/22 for a small cut that I couldn't get to stop bleeding while at home. It was late at night and I could not drive all the way to ****** where I am insured. By the time I saw the check in person who took my blood pressure, the bleeding was mostly under control. I told him that coming to the ** was an overreaction and I felt that I was good to go without seeing the doctor. He told me that it was a slow night and I shouldnt have to wait long.. and that it was better to be safe than sorry. I was brought back to a room, and my finger was dipped into a cup of hydrogen peroxide and then glued shut. This took all of 10 minutes or so. They never measured my cut or told me anything about my treatment, just said that I was good to go. I felt embarrassed about how minor it was. A few weeks later I receive a bill for $3,566.00 and a separate bill for the staffing of $313.00 dollars. There is no explanation of these ridiculous charges. I call to request an itemized bill, which they reluctantly send me. It contains only abbreviations and is just as obscured as the original bill. It has a fraudulent charge for a superficial wound greater than 2.6 centimeters and I have been unable to get this company to correct this mistake. I expect them to correct this fraudulent charge before I will even consider paying this obscenely overpriced extortion money.

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by *********************** and have thoroughly reviewed this matter.  We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience experienced by the consumer. The account in question was placed with our office on 07/16/2022 by our client, Swedish Medical Center.  In reviewing the account notes, it appears that contact with the consumer was made and an agreed balance resolution could not be established for payment arrangement. Therefore, the account was later placed with our office. If the consumer needs further assistance, please have them contact Medicredit directly. Thank you.

      Customer Answer

Yes, Swedish billing and I talked on the phone many times and I indicated what I can pay each month. I asked if I should mail to billing ***** the amount I can pay? Swedish billing told me YES even tho they wish it was more. Swedish has been cashing the monthly payments each month. Due to Swedishes acceptance, it is therefore illegal to turn over my private contact info to a collections agency, as I continue to faithfully send payments as Agreed. I have cancelled checks from Swedish.  Thank you very much for the help as their harressing phone calls, after our payment Agreement & their acceptance of my payments, are illegal and stressful to my situation.

I went for a routine mammogram that is covered by my insurance. They did 3d imaging. Ok. I get a bill for $35 dollars. I talk on the phone with someone from billing and it made sense. I paid that. Now I'm getting a bill for $80 dollars that is past due. What is this bill for. This is a total scam and unacceptable after being told my account is up to date. I am not a bank and can't keep getting charged for this when I have never paid a dime for a mamogram before. These people are crooks. I do not owe them any money. I will never use go to them for a mamogram again. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! Why is a bill overdue that I never received ? My account online says 0.
