I checked in to the ** at **************** Hospital in late February. They took very good care of me and provided excellent care. All these months later, I received "final notice" from 'Emergency Medicine Specialists, I had NEV** received any prior notice. Not one! There is NOTHING on this document that indicates any specific services rendered or the date or time. I don't know if it is legitimate or not, but it certainly looks shady. I ALWAYS pay my bills, my legitimate bills promptly. Not this time.I will wait for the bill collector to show up at my door.

I had the misfortunate of going to their ER for a rigid neck. I waited 2 hours to get seen by a Physician Assistant who sent me to get two tests. I was treated with a shot of steroids. After 45 minutes, they sent me home. For this, they have billed my insurance $11,551.80 and the **** who saw me billed my insurance separately for $1,286. I called their business office and spoke to **** *. who refused to help me. Terrible service. Total rip off.

I paid all of my daughter's Feb-March 2024 hospital bills on time or through a payment plan, and left the area in good standing. Almost a year later, having moved to another state, I received a notice of collections my Providence through my **** forwarding service. I never received a bill or statement, just a collections notice. I have never been able to find an EOB matching the amount of the new bill, I've never received anything stating what it's actually for, and there's absolutely nothing about it in MyChart (I checked both mine and my daughter's MyChart accounts). They told me it was billed in September 2024, months after our family had not only met our OOP max, but also months after we had left the state entirely. I have many email receipts from Providence for my fulfilled payments, but the representative claims that there is no record of me having made any payments. To avoid collections, I just caved and paid the bill, but I feel really scammed and disrespected. The recorded greeting when you call Providence claims they care about patients and helping them with payments, yet they never even tried to contact me by phone or by the email address where they were sending my receipts. I called them the instant I received this collections notice, and would have responded just as quickly had they ever sent me a legit bill. Very creepy business practices, and I'm so glad to be living far outside of their service area for my family's medical needs. It's a shame, because the health care my daughter received was extraordinary and her doctors were absolutely top notch. Patients beware, keep an eye on those bills.

Terrible Hospice Center Non caring, out for money They did my moms care & failed her miserable. Doctor assigned to her was very rude to not want to hear what my brother and I had to say she failed to get a room specialist for my mother. They also said dont worry about changing her. Well do that when we come well they only come twice a week how stupid is that?first of the doctors were terrible. They say one thing and they did completely the opposite without our authorization.. find her pain medication said they dont authorize that which they do. I looked it up on their list. All she wanted was to bring mother to hospice and end her life. do not recommend them for this job. Theyre terrible in the end. My mom suffered painfully for four years before her death.. She went feeling fine & never came out. The doctor felt miserably. She had taken care of my mothers wound. She wouldve been here today.. yes, I blame her and that staff theyre all conniving. They dont want none of your input so when we put our input in, they dropped us. Imagine that. I rate them zero. Please do not let your loved ones be under the care of these people. They never gave us anything that we needed like a lift asling. Anything to help move her. They did not want to cooperate with us at all and they have all those supplies there to help people like ******** in this situation of being a caregiver.. they are out for money thats it! theyre greedy theyre stingy and they lie to your face. Falsified their notes with your notes we got our notes back. They had lied so many times on there and we have evidence it is ridiculous. They are scumbag. Please do your homework or any situation like this. There are much better places out there which we did find one towards the end, but Providence, hospice I have no nice words to say about them.. please dont trust them please you will regret it! Rest in peace, mother.

I am writing this complaint to report predatory billing practices by Providence Saint **** for a diagnostic ultrasound procedure I underwent in November 2024.The procedure was a simple ultrasound to evaluate a potential health concern. It lasted less than 10 minutes, yet I was billed an unreasonably high total of over $4,300. This included:-A charge of $607.46 for the ultrasound, after network adjustments.-An additional $1,717.25 for a "Peripheral Vascular Lab" charge that seems unrelated to the service I received. The total charges far exceed the national average cost for similar diagnostic procedures, which typically range between $300 and $600. The additional "Peripheral Vascular Lab" charge is especially concerning, as it does not appear to align with the brief ultrasound service I received.Despite contacting the hospitals billing department for clarification, I have not received a satisfactory explanation for these charges. This lack of transparency, combined with such inflated pricing, has caused unnecessary financial stress and raises significant concerns about the fairness of their billing practices. What Im Seeking:-A thorough review of the charges to confirm their accuracy and relevance to the procedure performed.-An explanation and correction if any charges were billed in error.-An adjustment to reflect fair, reasonable, and industry-standard pricing. This experience highlights a broader issue with transparency and fairness in healthcare billing. Patients deserve to know what they are being charged for and to pay reasonable amounts for services rendered. I hope Providence takes steps to resolve this issue and improve their billing practices.Thank you for your attention.Sincerely,A Concerned Patient

St Jude Hospital in ********* did not respect religious beliefs, gave epidural at the time not needed, and was charged almost five times the amount what was originally agreed upon. On my last OBY visit, I was about 40 weeks pregnant. The doctor gave me the option if I wanted to be induced and start the birth process earlier, I decided to do it. The only reason why I decided to plan the pregnancy is that I didnt want a male doctor to deliver the baby due to our religious beliefs. I told the *** doctors my concerns and stressed it was very important not to have a male doctor delivering on the day of the appointment. The doctor called the hospital and told me there will be a female doctor on the day of the appointment. I arrived at ******* Hospital and asked who the delivery doctor was, the nurse said it was a male doctor that was scheduled to work that day and his shift would end the next day at 7:30am I was recommended and given epidural when I was only 3 meters dilated and in no pain.Upon signing the agreement about cost, I was told someone would call me from billing and explain everything, no one ever called. The next day after giving birth, I get a call from a very rude lady saying I owe $35,000 and if I sign a paper before I leave the hospital she she will give me a $10,000 discount. This hospital is shady

I went in for suicidal thoughts and feelings and every time they send me off. last time I was there in Lacey ******* the nurse I had was mean, they refused to give me food or take a shower, I had to keep asking to get one, it was more their attitude and it was very rude. last time I was in their psych **** my sister brought me books and they lied saying they didn't get any books and it took me talking to my sister while they were denying when a worker went and got the books. I was also a year or two ago suffering from alcoholism and I needed help and went in and a worker rudely says "This isn't a detox". it's more their refusal to help me and I never did anything wrong while there. this is some hospital you have in ************* hospital having angry rude and mean nurses who refuse to **** me food. they also when ambulance came false labeled me 5150, a danger to self and or others out of spite and. I clearly wasn't. the nurse aid only brought me snacks and she kicked the ****** to wake me from my nap

I saw their high risk breast clinic provider, ******* *********- Nurse Practitioner. She was one of the providers at the Comprehensive Breast Clinic, **************, ***She began the appt by laughing at my condition of my dense breast and was incompassionate that way. Provided she works at a high risk breast clinic talking about breast conditions and diseases is a sensitive topic and laughing at anyone's condition is disrespectful, incompassionate, rude, bullying and unprofessional behavior.I hope providence takes this seriously and provides appropriate training to its nurses to control their laughter when talking about sensitive topics like breast conditions linked to CANCER.Had to also leave a ****** Review since this is the most rude provider I met in my entire life and shocked that this nurse practitioner works at high risk breast clinic (a sensitive place dealing with sensitive issues like cancer screening)

I had a one-night Oximetry meter test done in July 2024. Some months prior I had a sleep study completed. The cost of the home sleep study was $400 (through the clinic not a Providence facility). The Oximetry Meter was ordered through Providence St. ******* Pulmonary. I received the bill from Providence about 1 month ago. The charge was $1700 (my out of pocket $1400). How is it possible that they can ***** so much for these charges. I have called Providence Billing (some kind people who couldnt help and one extremely rude gal that told me I clearly didnt understand what I had done and should talk to my ************ is that what she calls compassion towards a patient experiencing issues). For other medical concerns I need MRIs every 18 months or so. Years ago, I did research and found numerous facilities that could perform the same MRI for $1500 vs Providence charging between $5000-$6000. Moral of the story, why the heck would I ever choose to have diagnostics, or anything done at Providence if there are other facilities that can do it for 20-30% of the cost. Whether I am paying my insurance is paying, I choose to be a good consumer and understand the cost. I am at a loss as to how this can be, and Providence has no outlet to get the resolved in a reasonable manner. So disappointed in a company that is marketed to be a non-profit. Clearly this is a for-profit organization that gets great tax breaks (but doesnt give patients a reasonable break).

A Providence Health and Services representative spoke with our patient by phone on 9/6/2024.  Our representative was able to provide some information that we believe help ease the way for our patient in future visits.

I was pleasantly surprised that a representative from the Providence *************** reached out a few days after my review. She was very polite. And explained why Providence charges are so high (though not at all to my satisfaction). I have worked in Finance and Accounting so I have more than an average understanding of how this works. And from my perspective, charging then end user such exorbitant fees is not the only way to manage your overhead. The end result was that the charges in their eyes were correct, but they would offer a 'good will' credit of $300 (on a $1700 charge). It was more than nothing to be sure, but much less than I would have hoped. I will definitely be letting the clinic that ordered the test from Providence know that in order to protect the interest of future patients, please consider not sending them to a Prov facility when other options are available. I have spoken to one representative already from the Clinic and they were quite shocked that it could possibly be that much. Their comment was for such a small portion of the test that they previously performed, she would have expected significantly less than the $400 that their clinic billed. Sadly, not true.
