At the beginning of summer I had new heating and cooling unit installed. After work was preformed it was discovered that there was no power to my ******* bedroom and bathroom. I have made many attempts to contact the Manager at the company. I have had little success in getting the issue resolved. I have talked with a manager he does promise to take steps to resolve the issue but never follows through. It has been months dealing with this issue. Its my childs room.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/10/2023

    Dear BBB,
The reason we haven't responded yet is because ************************* said multiple times he was going to remove / take down this complaint.

A sub-contractor we hired was accused of faulty work. The same electrician returned to ****'s house the same day and said the issue with his bedroom was un-related to us or him.

**** was not happy with this response and wanted the Owner of the electrical company to go to his house. **** was on vacation for a month, after he got back from vacation he refused to let that electrician go back to his house so i told him to hire his own electrician and i would pay the bill up to $500, but that I want documentation proving it was an Addcox issue because my electrician stated it wasn't.

**** than posted this BBB complaint. After this complaint was posted, we hired a different electrician who resolved the issue. This third party electrician indicated that this was not an issue caused by Addcox or the sub-contractor Electrician Addcox hired. This wiring in the attic is faulty with many junction boxes.

At this point Addcox has hired an electrician, paid for the repair for an issue un-related to Addcox Heating Center. We also have this black-eye from the BBB. What recourse do we have? It would be un-fair that this post is listed on the internet for people to see and pass judgement on an issue that Addcox did not directly cause.
