  The tow of the vehicle was legal. It was parked improperly. Upon learning where the car was towed to and retrieving it. The following day they attempted to charge my daughter $850 for an overnight tow. After much negotiating it was reduced to $450, which is still double of the going rate in ******* and surrounding areas. As an example, ******* is $150 and $25 a day. SS, the highest I could find was $280. Exploiting a young adult and representing the city is atrocious.

  There was no legible signage where the vehicle was parked that it was a tow zone, nor was the curb painted to indicate this. This was not a legal tow.

   The owner of the 2007 ****** Camry *************************** has allowed me, *********************************, to have possession of the vehicle with me in ********. We are in the process of putting me on the registration and title of this vehicle.
  
  As far as background, I was involved in a car accident on **/27 and the vehicle sustained front end damage. Police were called and did not come on scene as there were no injuries. A report was filed the following day as a requirement of the insurance. The vehicle damage was minor and the vehicle was drivable. ******* 1
  
  On the evening hours 6:00 of **/30, I parked the vehicle on the side of **************************, ************************************************. ******* 2 (arrow representing vehicle parking location)
  
  Upon returning to my vehicle on Tuesday, I called the non-emergency police in a panic as the vehicle was missing. 
  
  Where the car was parked, the curb was not painted and there was no other signage.

  Towards the corner of ***** and 14th Street, there is no signage indicating any parking restrictions. ******* 2, 3, 4
  
  Signage on either side of the open driveway area, the signs were painted over and eligible. ******* 2, 5, 6
  
  At the end of the block at the gated driveway there is a single no parking fire lane sign. As this is beyond the driveway area and not started and stopped with an additional no parking fire lane sign. A fire lane and no parking area is not defined. Rather it is assumed that the fire lane is in reference to the driveway for emergency vehicles to enter.

  At this point I am contesting that this was an illegal tow, there is no legible signage nor painted curb apparent to indicate a fire lane within a reasonable distance of the vehicle. The single Firelane sign beyond the driveway is not encompassed with a second sign to indicate that the entire area was a Firelane. With the absence of painted curbs, we maintain that the fire lane area is limited to the cut curb where vehicles would enter. The vehicle would not have been parked there if there had been legible signage or indication of a fire lane.
  
  I spoke with BC towing in the early hours of 11/1/23 and they stated that it was parked in a fire lane and would be $750 for the tow/storage. 
  
  Upon arrival at BC towing the next day at 3:45 PM, ******** was told the price was now $850. After a bit of negotiation and fearing additional storage fees, $570 was paid to BC Towing to retrieve the vehicle. These fees are above and beyond a reasonable amount. The distance door to door is 2.2 miles. ******* #**

  I went with my son to pick up his car that had been towed from his apt the day before. There had been an issue the day before when my son went to pick up his car. Considering the way BCs employees acted when I was with my son , the issues the day before are in question and are being handled by law enforcement. When we arrived my son was immediately attacked with false accusations of the previous day. After we paid we were followed by 2 employees to retrieve his car and they were very rude calling him a little punk among other names trying to initiate an altercation. They dared him to turn around and fight as we we walking away trying to get his vehicle and if I wasnt there Im sure he would have been attacked. They threatened him with law enforcement if though it was them who was try to cause trouble undoubtably trying to goat him into a reason these little weasels could call the police. I told the littlest of the employee that I would press charges on him if he continued. Im sure they were disappointed that he had a witness to this attack/harassment. I contacted law enforcement myself to file a complaint and will continue to investigate ways to hold BC accountable for their employees actions. If BC upholds their Employees actions they are no better and very dark spot on this community. Their main mission on that day was to pick a fight and then call the police and blame it on my son. Only my presence deterred their further actions. This kind of company does not belong in this or any other community. I hope that I will be contacted but considering the way they allow these disgusting actions by their employees I will not hold my breath. I will however to educate everyone I come in contact with the horrible actions practiced by this company.
