    Just started garbage service. It is not made apparent during the onboarding process that any garbage in excess of the cans lid, any at all, will result in an uncollected can. I have paid for collection service and Pride has refused to collect because a small amount of unusually shaped styrofoam caused the lid to stay open. The garbage does not exceed the gallon capacity of the can, it is merely oddly shaped.

    I do not show that we have not collected this customer's garbage. I also do not show that this customer made any attempt to contact our office to discuss what may have happened. If one of the carts was missed or not emptied completely, I would request that they please contact our office to discuss resolution so we can get their service taken care of for them. We have options we can provide to come back, pick up extras, or other potential solutions.

    I put our home garbage collection on a vacation hold for two weeks. Upon returning, I called Pride disposal to confirm that I was receiving a two week vacation hold credit because the week we left a snow storm disrupted normal pickup of garbage. I was told by *** (pride disposal manager) that I would not get credit for two weeks because I had to take it off hold last week to get the trash picked up. Date of missed trash collection (due to snow): Feb. 23, 2023 Vacation hold was for two weeks: 2/27 - 3/10

    Thank you for the information. *** is right, we do not give credit due to missed collection for weather events. Your situation is unique because, as you said, you had put your account on hold for 3/2 and 3/9. You contacted us to resume early on 3/9 and I believe you would not have needed to do that had we been able to service your account on 2/23. We will adjust your account to not charge you for 2/23 and 3/2 rather than 3/2 and 3/9 due to your unique circumstances. The adjustment will show on your next invoice. Please reach out if you have further questions.

    I am filing a complaint against Pride Disposal, ********, ******. My scheduled date for garbage pick up is once a week on Friday's. On Friday, February 24, 2023 my garbage did not get picked up. I called Pride Disposal on Monday February 27, 2023 and asked why my garbage was not picked up. I was told that there was "not enough time before the drivers needed to return from their routes". I told the representative on the phone that all of the other garbage in my neighborhood was picked up and asked that they come and pick up my garbage. They said that they would not do that but that they would accept 3 additional bags on the next pick up date without extra charges which would be March 3rd. I expressed that that wasn't acceptable because I would have to leave garbage bags next to my garbage can "outside" of the can as my can was already completely full and run the risk of drawing rodents, raccoons, etc. They said they couldn't do anything more than what they offered. This isn't the first time they neglected to pick up garbage on the scheduled pick up date and the last time this happened the garbage left outside the can **** was rodents and raccoons which tore open the bags that were not in the garbage can and I ended up having to clean everything up again and re-bag it. Rats and rodents ARE A HEALTH ISSUE. All of this fell on deaf ears. So...that's my beef. I pay good money for the service monthly and feel that they should compensate me for the inconvenience at the least.

    I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding when the customer called in on 2/27, but their service was not completed on 2/24 due to snow and ice on the roads. We attempted to pick customers up on 2/25, but roads had still not cleared enough and we were unable to safely service our customers, it was not due to running out of time on the service day. When this happens,our service agreements with the city dictate how we handle those situations. We pick up double the customer's garbage on their following service day (3/3) in bags at no additional charge. No credit is given for missed collection due to weather because we do make it up on the following service day.

    Thank you for your response.  I would like to say that in circumstances like these you should have your office staff informed that all they would have needed to say to me on the phone is that it weather related, not "we ran out of time".  I found that to be off putting since all other garbage in my neighborhood was collected which is why I filed a complaint.
