On May 27 I sent a check for $99.99 through my bank's **************** in response to a Renewal Notice letter from ************************* was to renew my Games World of **************** subscription for three more years - through 2028.The check was sent to:Kappa Publishing Group PO Box ***** Boone IA 50037-4029 I used my name ****** ***** as the account number since I couldn't find an account number on the letter or on the magazine mailing label.On June *************************************************************************************************************** regarding the first Renewal Notice letter.This second letter provides a different address than the one I sent the check to. This address was Kappa Publishing Group *************************************** I called the Games World of Puzzles customer service number and was told I would need to send a copy of the front and back of the check my bank sent as proof of ********** bank does not provide online pictures of checks that they send on my behalf through their ****************. They said they would mail me a copy of this check.I also emailed Games World of Puzzles and also tried to send a message through their website but kept getting the message "There was an error trying to send your message."I don't know where the check I sent ended up. There doesn't seem to be any coordination between Kappa Publishing Group and their Games World of Puzzles *********** of today my subscription has not been extended. I want a refund of $99.99 if they are not going to apply it to extend my subscription through 2028.Business Response

I first want to say that I am so sorry you've been experiencing such trouble with renewing your subscription. We partner with a company who helps manage our subscriptions, and they recently moved to PO boxes in ******* for receiving mail. Because of this, all mail sent to *****, ** is rerouted and may take a bit longer for processing while they go through this transition. I have manually entered your 3-year subscription renewal, as shown in the attached screenshot. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns about your subscription.

I bought Kappabooks crossword pocket puzzle books that had the answers from other different books in them. Its like buying a puzzle with One piece missing!After sending an email to the company, no reply.I would think that there was at least one employee there in charge of checking to make sure you put the correct puzzle answers, with the correct books. This business billed my 93 year old mother for a magazine subscription almost a year ago. All supporting documents where sent to the company and attached in my prior BBB complaint. I am sorry for the frustration this has caused. I understand that it can be infuriating in the age of 2 day shipping to have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a subscription. But to get a subscription set up, even in this day and age, takes time. I show your subscription was processed on June 2nd. According to our records, your first issue should arrive to you sometime between July 16th and July 30th. Your next issue is set to arrive between August 5th and August 20th. This will continue for all 17 of your issues you subscribed to until the subscription expires on August 1st 2025. In Dec. 13 2023, I ordered and paid for a subscription from Kappa Publishing for crossword puzzles (as reflected on my ******* credit card statement). I have received only one issue in spite of 4 calls to their so-called customer desk.Business Response

I am so sorry about the issues with delivery of your magazine, and I understand your frustration. I too would be upset if I wasn't getting what I was ordering. As you have requested, I have processed a full refund for your subscription in the amount of $62.30 back on the credit card used to purchase the subscription. it may take a few business days for that to reflect at your bank. I would strongly suggest you contact your post office and see if they are willing to do a periodical watch for your address. As I would hate to see you have continued issues with any other subscription service you may have.

Kappa Publishing took fifty five Euros from my account on 23rd of November last with a promise to deliver Games World of Puzzles within a ten week period at most. This has failed to materialise and emails to the company have neither been acknowledged or replied to. I truly feel I have been conned I came upon your magazine in America where I spend a large part of every year. If I don't get a satisfactory reply from Kappa I shall I instruct my lawyer stateside to issue proceedings stating failure to honour a contract, theft of my money and a belief that racial discrimination is at play here because I am Irish. I am sorry you are dissatisfied with the time period it takes to set up a subscription. I can understand the frustration of paying for something and wondering if it will ever come.
Domestically, it can take 8 weeks for a subscription to go from payment to delivery of the first issue as the fulfillment process is quite lengthy. Adding to that shipping overseas involves customs and additional logistics that often does lengthen the period of time for someone to receive their first issue. But once everything is in place, the process overlaps itself so that the magazines arrive at their regular intervals. It is not unheard of for us to be preparing a subscribers second issue well before they ever receive their first issue.
In your complaint of the problem you stated you were charged on November 23rd,and told that it would take at most 10 weeks to arrive. This puts your delivery date no later than February 1st. I understand if you changed your mind in the intervening time, and would like a refund. I show that we charged you $59.99 USD and I will be processing the refund for that amount. It is my hope that the exchange rates between USD and Euros will be favorable to you, but I have no control over if it is not. I have processed a refund of $59.99 today (Jan/23/2024)back to your card used to make payment. However, as I explained, your first issue is already in transit to you. Please consider it our gift to you.
In the future, you may want to consider our digital subscription for Games World of Puzzles Magazine. The subscription has no delivery time and is available anywhere open internet access will permit.
Please also be very assured that absolutely none of what has happened nor how it was resolved had even the smallest variation of conduct based on your nationality. I ordered puzzle books on March 31st. I gave them time they requested. Only have received one puzzle book which was in early June. It was two kinds of puzzle books that I ordered and sent them a check for ($79.84). I've made efforts to make contact with them; they always hang up on me. Horoscope Guide Refund NEVER processed. I mailed a check in the amount of $63.00 to Kappa Publishing on October 18, 2022 to renew my subscription for their Horoscope Guide magazine. The Invoice for October stated that 3 more Issues remained. The $63 was for a two year renewal. I discovered that the Horoscope Guide was discontinued. Mid January 2023 I began phoning the Kappa Publishing Customer Service Line. I was told that my 2 year payment would be automatically transferred to an Easy crossword puzzle Magazine. I informed the agent that I have zero interest in a puzzle book and that I wanted a refund. I was told that she would go ahead a process a refund check for the $63 dollars. I waited until March 2023 for a refund check. I called on 3/28/23 and was told by an agent that a refund check had been issued and mailed in February. I have a USPS (US Postal Service) Informed Delivery account and a check was never delivered to my address. The agent said she would "send a note to follow up". I called again on April 26, 2023 and asked politely for my refund that I had been promised. The agent told me that the subscription cancellation was still "pending" from February 3rd. I asked her if a Refund check had been issued? And she told me 'NO', a check had not been issued yet. Interesting as that is not what I was told by the previous agent. She said that she "would go ahead and process that claim". and that a supervisor would contact me through email. I had her confirm my email address and mailing address on file. I have NEVER heard from KAPPA through email or mail. (not in my spam, either.) Here I am on May 26th 2023 with no correspondence and no refund. Please help me! I was trying to renew my subscription to my All Number Fill-it-Ins online on June 15, 2022. It said it would give me a free puzzle to solve when the renewal was completed. It seemed to throw me out towards the end, so I attempted to renew it again. Same thing happened, so I thought neither of them had gone through. I never got a confirmation email so I sent a payment by check for $16 so I would continue to receive puzzles. I sent them a letter on June 18, 2022 when I discovered the charges had gone through on my credit card. I received no response from the company. I waited to see if I was going to receive any magazines after the $16 renewal had ended. I did not receive any magazines so I sent them another letter on February 23, 2023 asking for either a refund of my money or the magazines I had paid for. I received no response and no magazines. On May 3, 2023 I found a site for complaints to the company by email. I emailed them my complaint. It said I would receive a response within 2 business days. That didn't happen either. I tried calling the subscription number and only received busy signals.Business Response
