I met an employee at the *************** fair fall of 2024 who was very pushy and inquisitive about my home and the age of windows and other things in my house. Stupidly I gave my personal information just to get away from this guy (**** or *****) and he and others from the company continue to call me and my husband despite the numerous times we have said we are not interested in having work done. Our requests to have them stop calling has not been honored. I feel they are harassing both myself and my husband.Business Response

The business trespasses into my community, going door-to-door harassing residents, hassling them to buy their products. We have no soliciting signs setup which are ignored. I asked them to leave, and they ignore me and keep harassing the community.Business Response

Power's marketing and sales teams visit the local community whenever Power is performing new installations in or near your community. Power's marketing and sales team always have the necessary permitting offered by local jurisdictions in order to operate in the areas Power visits. If you wish for Power to no longer visit your home specifically whenever we are in the area, Power's local office can add you to their "Do Not Knock" list so that anyone in the community will know you are not interested in hearing about Powers offerings.

I am rejecting this response because:I have already had my address listed as a "do not knock" address and I was still harassed at my home by a pushy, relentless salesman who insisted on continuing to harass other people in the community even after being asked to leave.

We purchased 10 windows from Power Home remodeling in 2016 for our older home. We purchased them with the understading that there was a lifetime warranty and any repairs would not cost us anything if if was a defect. Two years ago one by one each windos is failing and spotting from the inside. Initally they replace two upper windows at **, but now we have two more failing and are asking $180 per pane.Business Response

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
The lifetime guarantees provided to you for the window projects completed at your home consist of a product warranty and a labor warranty. Power, as the installing dealer, provides the labor warranty. The product warranty is offered through the manufacturer, not Power. Power does not manufacture windows and instead is partnered with several window manufacturers who offer warranties for the products, much like a car warranty is offered by the vehicle manufacturer and not the dealership from which you bought the car. The manufacturer of your windows, ***************************, is both no longer producing the line of window that was installed in your home and is under new ownership and that ownership group has made the decision to no longer honor the product warranty associated with your windows. This was not a decision that Power had a hand in, nor is it one that Power supports, however as the provider of the warranty it is their prerogative to do so under the terms of the warranty as they are written.
Because the product warranty is void, Power incurs a cost when ordering replacement parts for your windows. Whereas the replacement parts would have been free under warranty in the past and therefore no cost would have been passed on to you, now Power does incur a cost. In an effort to mitigate the downstream effect of this change to Powers customers, ********************** has elected to eat some of this cost and is only charging a portion of the product cost to you, the homeowner. That cost is outlined in the quote that your received from a Power representative on 1/9/2025 and that quote is good for thirty days. Powers labor warranty is still in full effect and the labor cost to replace the defective window sashes in your home is still covered at no cost.
Thank you,

We had our siding replaced over 10 years ago. The siding came with a spectacular warranty. The siding has since cracked. Power home remodeling states the cracks are from rocks thrown from a lawn mower. We were told the siding could withstand hurricanes and tornadoes. The siding had mold on it that we were told would never happen. The shutters are faded. The flashing around the windows is peeling off. This happened before and they did fix it but it is happening again. It took months to get someone out to fix it.When I called the company. They said the warranty only covered the issues we were having with the flashing and nothing else.Business Response

Copies of your Power labor warranty and the manufacturers material warranty for the siding installed on your home are available on Power's website as well as the manufacturers website. Power has and will continue to service those items that fall under the warranty coverage provided to you when you purchased the siding project from Power, however the warranty coverage has limitations. Damage to the siding unrelated to how it was installed or manufactured is not covered under the siding warranty and the damage to the siding on your home is clearly from an impact in some areas and from the use of a grill too close to the vinyl siding in another area. There is no mold buildup on the siding and the manufacturer of your siding provides clear instructions on how to clean various environmental contaminants from vinyl siding. These instructions have been provided to you in the past. The manufacturer of the shutters also does not warranty against fading. Copies of these warranties were made available to you at the time you entered into a contact with Power in 2010 and have also been available on-line since that time.
Power's *************************** has not received contact from you in regard to any other outstanding concerns with the aluminum trim on the house. If you have concerns you wish to discuss and have serviced under warranty, please reach out to the *************************** at the phone number below and a representative will be happy to assist you.

In 2021 I purchased new windows from Power Home Remodeling. When they installed the windows broken glass was left all over the inside and outside of my house. Also, there were 5 windows installed incorrectly. 4 windows are in my living room where you can feel a noticeable draft. Power home remodeling has refused to accept fixing these windows even though I can see with an infrared temperature tool that an extremely high amount of heat is being lost where the windows should seal. The other broken window is in my sons (7 month old) nursery. There is a visible gap that I have had to try and cover with clothes and curtains to keep cold air from coming in. Power has recognized that this was a defect at install, but over the course of almost 3 YEARS now has not been able to fix the issue. Each time they attempt to fix it the gap has gotten larger and it take multiple months to have another install manager to come out and diagnose the issue. I have begged and pleaded with them for a partial refund so that I can hire another more ***utable company to fix this issue since my son hasnt been able to even sleep in his room since birth due to the terrible drafts and temperature inconsistencies in that room. Each time I call the call center *** rudely says there is nothing I can do and I must wait for the local install office to handle the issue. Some call center ***resentatives have even told me that it would be better for me to just caulk my window shut since they wont be able to send someone out for months.Business Response

I bought 17 windows in 2016 from Power Home Remodeling with a lifetime warranty. Currently, 7 sashes have some kind of growth or staining on the inside of the windows and a big sliding window is sagging and will not seal properly. I called PHR to ask about replacing the windows that were under warranty when I bought them. Theyre not high quality windows, so I basically bought them because of the warranty. Today, January 29, 2025, they told me that theres a new company that covers the warranty that canceled my LIFETIME warranty. They want me to pay $180 per window to have them replaced. I ask people to avoid Power Home Remodeling.Business Response

I had all windows and doors in my home replaced by Power Home Remodeling. A fantastic salesman came to my house and spent a lot of time here selling their product. I was promised lifetime guarantees on all of their products. Since they finished installation and have received years of on time payments, it has taken months for them to react to any of my needs and concerns. I have an active leak causing damage to the interior of my house. They have no regard for my property or fixing their mistakes. I have been waiting 4 months for someone to come and check windows that cause safety concerns for my children. The leak was fixed by someone who sealed the window shut and they have still not returned to fix it. Today I received a voicemail that they couldnt get here and will reschedule for April 28th. Another 3 months from now.Business Response

The concerned outlined regarding the bay window leak was resolved on 1/15/2024. Powers Installation Manager requested that you notify Power if the leak persists or if the leak returns and you have not indicated to Power since that either of those have occurred. A more recent concern about the sliding glass door was brought to Power's attention, however no mention of a bay window leak was made at that time either. A service to address the sliding glass door was scheduled but unfortunately had to be rescheduled due to unforeseen staffing changes and for that we do apologize. A new service date was scheduled with you and we look forward to having your concerns with the sliding glass door resolved for you then.

Purchased Windows from Power Home Remodeling Group in 2023. Large bow window has recently significantly cracked and poses a danger but company refuses to be flexible with replacement schedule. Powers *************************** has been in contact with you in regard to the cracked glass in the bay window and a replacement window sash has already been ordered. The replacement window sash for your window needs to be manufactured and delivered to Power's local installation office before it can be swapped out in your home and based on current manufacturing lead times the service appointment scheduled for 2/28/2025 is the earliest that the replacement can take place. The stress crack in the glass does not pose a safety issue, the glass will not fall out of the window, and if you wish to tape the crack for added peace of mind you have been advised that you are able to.
We look forward to having the replacement glass installed in your window on 2/28/2025.

First I purchased a sliding Patio Door. That was fine no complaints I did not contact them They were soliciting in my neighborhood which is ************* door was installed had no problem with it.The same day after the install was completed, they called and said someone had to check the door and make sure it had no issues with it, okay so the gentleman came looked at the door everything was fine. That was not the end he tried talking us into other things to purchase, first I said it wasn't a good time because of the upcoming holidays and I was involved with selling a house that I had inherited that was my mistake. That gave him a way to talk us into getting new basement windows the first price he gave me was over $7000 I said no it was too much.Well then he lowered it by a thousand dollars ,he kept telling us he was saving us money because he was not a salesman and he didn't gain anything from the sale . We realized we counted the wrong number of windows it was 5 not 6 which lowered it another $1000, but because he had already entered the price of ***** he had to go into the office to change the price and he would take care of it,he wrote the price down on paper of $5,600 well after the windows were installed I told the man who did the installation the price was wrong,he called the office The lady in the office said she would change it the next day and call me back. Well that did not happen instead she said she was the only one who could change it and that the price could not be changed. Since then no one would help me nor would they even try to work with **** have called repeatedly emailed even tried to email the CEO no response. The gentleman who talked me into buying these windows said he can't find the paper he wrote the price on.I feel like I was completely taken advantage of and lied to.Can you help meBusiness Response

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
The initial project price of $7,984.08 was for one too many windows than were left to complete in the home. The project was then reduced by one window and thus the price of the project reduced to $6,653.40. This change in the scope of work and change in price of the project is reflected in the Project Amendment that you signed on 11/14/2024. This was the only change in the scope of the project and it was the only reduction in price on the project. At the completion of the project you signed a Windows Completion Form acknowledging the completion of the project and indicating that the terms of the contract were satisfactorily met. Unfortunately, there is no missing discount to the price of the project and there will be no reduction in the price of the project made. Copies of the signed project amendment reflecting the price change and the signed completion certificate are both attached to this response. Additionally, as a Project Pulse app user, you have access to these documents as well as the original signed contract digitally.

Complaint: 22845424
I am rejecting this response because:
I did send the information the first time I sent you my complaint.I first purchased a sliding patio door. I had no complaints with the door. The day the work was completed on the door, they notified me that they had to come out to inspect the installation. I said okay but my husband inspected the door he said they did a good job but they insisted they had to come out. The didnt get to my house until 5:30 almost 6pm,the gentleman came in checked the door and agreed that it was fine. Then asked us to sit down, and proceeded to talk to us about buying more windows. I told him I wasnt interested because Christmas was coming and I was in the process of selling my friends house because she had passed away. That is when started insisting I should buy the windows now ,because he could give me a good price because he was not a salesman, and he wouldnt be getting any commission like the other salesmen. Thats when he said since I would be selling my friends house I could use the money I would get from that. He also told me, I could get the windows by financing them with their company,no payments until January-or February with no interest for 6 months that was also a lie . I saw the statement yesterday and I am paying a very high interest rate.Payments started in January. I did not agree to the 7,600$ amount I told him it was too much. Then he brought it down to ***** which was the price for 6 windows . Thats when my husband said he didnt think we had six windows so we went back to the basement and counted again we only have 5. So the salesman changed the count to 5 but said he counted change the amount because it had to be done in the Office . He then wrote it down on apiece of paper the price for 5 windows it to 5600$ ,he said it didnt matter that I had already sign for the six windows because he was going to fix it in the ********* wasnt until they came to put in the basement windows, that I noticed the price was incorrect . I didnt want to sign the document because of the wrong price he called the office, and said the lady in the office would take care of it the next day and would call me in the morning, that never happened. She called me the following week and said she would not be changing the price. Ever since then this has been a nightmare. I trusted these people which I should never had done. I told him that night before I signed anything,I did not want to spend over a thousand dollars apiece for each window he assured me they were not over a thousand dollar each . The price for the five windows was a little under a thousand each.I felt because of the door We purchased was good I could trust this company but clearly they can not be trusted.I really dont know what else to say.If you need anything else please let me know.
