      Good morning,

This appears to be a duplicate of Complaint ID: ********.

Power has addressed the reason for the delays in replacement window sash manufacturing and has provided you with the most accurate lead times that are currently available from our manufacturer.  We apologize for the delays in rectifying your concerns with the window project but will most certainly fulfill our warranty obligations to you by replacing the window sashes as soon as they are completed and delivered.

Contract with PowerHRG was agreed to in March of 2021 and installation was performed in July of 2021. Prior to installing one of the basement slider windows, we noticed that one of the window panes was cracked. The onsite supervisor called in the issue and notified me that the issue would be remediated within two weeks without any further action needed on my side. After 1 month of not hearing back I called in to PowerHRG to find out a timeline and was provided a date a few months off. Every time a scheduled date comes up, they continue to push it back. The latest date was July of 2022 at which time I received a call stating that they had lost the required window pane in the warehouse and would need to reschedule again. The new installation date I am now quoted is January of 2023.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

At this time, the replacement sash for your home has been re-ordered with Power's window manufacturer and a follow-up service visit has been scheduled for the first available date and time.  We understand what an inconvenience it can be to have an appointment rescheduled and apologize that the service could not be performed as planned.  We look forward to having the concerns with the window project resolved for you as soon as possible.

In late Dec of 2020 I contacted Power Home Remodeling Group about a manufacturers defect on my front picture window. It had broken at the seem and spider web cracked along the whole right side. I was eventually given an install date of 6/8/21, siting that the sashes have not arrived from the manufacturer. It was rescheduled several times siting that the sashes were not in. I fully understand there was a materials shortage and supply chain issues, and eventually I was told it would be 12-14 months. I called back in Feb 2022 and was told they were still not in. After a few more calls monthly, they finally gave me an install date of some time in Jul 2022. That date came and went, and I called in asking where the install crew was, and I was told that they called and left a message. I informed them I did not receive such a call, then they went over my phone numbers. They did have some old ones, so i gave them the current one and we set another date for August 2022 (yesterday). Same deal, I had not heard anything by noon, so I called in again and was told they had called and left a message that the date had to be rescheduled to September. This time it was because the Sash had arrived, but it was damaged in the warehouse. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told they could not get me to a manager from their location and she was going to look into all of this and call be back by close of business. Big shock, no call. At this point, I am a bit frustrated and worried that since my sash has been damaged, I am either going to have to wait another several months or, they will come out and install an inferior window because new window, new issue. I am looking for my window to be repaired ASAP, as of right now there are large chunks of the inner window are missing and it is a hazard. I was told 12-14 months, but now we are coming upon 20 months.

In December of 2020 I filed a warranty request for a large window in my living room. Long story short, they blamed the pandemic and supply chain for a delay. After about 18 months of constant scheduling and rescheduling I called them (because they don't contact me ever), I filed a complaint with the BBB. They had a schedule date for the install, so the BBB closed out the case. Well the date got pushed several times even after that. On November 1st, 2022 I corresponded with someone in warranties, and sent them pictures and video of the window. I asked to have. A call or email chain with a manager to discuss options. It is almost 2 months later and I have not heard back, not once. I verified my phone numbers with them several times, because they like to say they don't have my updated information. At this point, it is deadly cold outside, and my double pane insulated window is now a single pane of glass, not able to keep the cold out. Our first floor is 10 degrees cooler then the rest of the house because of it, causing me to have to turn on auxiliary heaters, killing any ROI I had from the windows in the first place. I am looking to get this window replaced ASAP and reassurance from management that this is being worked on with the utmost urgency. Warranty claim number is ********. I want to reiterate, this is my second report on this company for the same issue. They responded to the old one, and I didn't respond in time to keep it open, but I will not make that mistake again.

      Good morning,

At this time, Power is still waiting on it's manufacturing partner to complete and deliver the order for your replacement window sash to Power's local installation office.  Power has followed up with it's manufacturer for an update delivery time frame but to that end there is no new information at this time.

As soon as the replacement window sash for your home is completed and delivered, a Power representative will be in contact with you to schedule it's replacement.

I am rejecting this response because: this is just another empty promise.  Everything is done in the dark and behind the scenes with no  visibility to me.  At this point, I would like to be looped into email communications with the manufacturer and Power.  I called Power home remodeling Thursday 12/29.  Spoke to Tyler  at 2:19. I insisted to speak to the warranty manager or the highest ranking person available to discuss this.  She said she put me on the administration call back list. I have yet to receive that call. She told me she spoke to ****** in at  ********* ******** company, the manufacturer.  Called and spoke to ****** myself.  She said it is ready to go. She is waiting on logistics to get a hold of power.  It is all lip service at this point, and unless and until I get looped into communications and this repair actually happens, I will continue to reject

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: as I have previously stated, I do not accept the fact that there is zero communication to me as the customer. What I am asking for is a communication with the manufacturer, power home remodeling, and myself with a weekly update so I know that this is actually being worked on. Over 2 years is unacceptable, and there is zero effort on Power home remodeling group to communicate with me ever. No matter how many times I call I do not get a call back, or anything even though I am promised one. I can understand if the manufacturer doesn't have it yet, but I have spoken to them personally and they said that it was ready to go. So at this point somebody is lying, and the only way I will be satisfied at this point is to have a three-way communication between the manufacturer the service provider and myself so we can figure out what is going on and when this is going to be resolved.

We had windows installed, and they came with a lifetime warranty. I have been trying to get windows replaced with broken seals since April, 2021. I have been told repeatedly that they will honor the warranty, however I now have 25% of my window panes with broken seals. I have been more than patient and I am not getting any windows installed. I have asked twice to speak with a manager. First on June 17, 2022 and again on August 5th, 2022. Both times I was assured that someone would call back within 48 hours, however no one has contacted me. The last time I spoke with someone in customer service, they said it would be at least another 5 months to get 1 pane replaced and the rest are another year out! Also, this past time when I spoke with customer service (August 5th), the rep stated that there was a problem with the old windows, and they won't hold a seal. As 25% of my 3 year old windows already have faulty seals, I can believe this. It appears that the warranty is not being honored. I want my windows replaced in a timely manner. I want to speak with a manager and have a date when ALL of my panes will be replaced.

      Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

The replacement window sash orders for your home were placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for them to be completed and delivered.  Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to.  Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult.  It is for these reasons that the order for the replacement sash is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Chicago.  While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.

At the present time, your first order is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Chicago this fall with the second order that was just placed arriving after that.  As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement.  We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.

      Good morning,

As explained, Power's warranty coverage is covering the material cost of replacement window sashes and the labor cost involved with returning to the home to replace them.  As of right now, the guidance provided is the best guidance Power has received from it's window manufacturer.  If better guidance was available there would be no reason to withhold that information and you would already be aware.

We look forward to having your window concerns resolved for you as soon as Power can.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, because I received a phone call this morning from Power Remodeling scheduling the replacement of all of my defective windows.  The date is several months in the future, but I have a definite date for the installation.  If all of the windows are not replaced on that date, I will be filing another complaint.  It is a shame that it took filing a complaint to receive the call and scheduled delivery date that I have been asking for all summer.

In August of 2021 two separate weather proof sliding doors were installed on the two sides of my deck in one day. in December of 2021, I started seeing condensation on 4 panels of both sliding doors, I contacted power informing them of the problem, and they indicated they would have to order the parts, but due to COVIC there probably going to be on back order. Finally, after over a year later they gave a date for installation two weeks ago. I followed up with a phone call then, and they told me I wasn't on the schedule. I scheduled again to come and repair the panels for today Thursday, August 11th, 2022 at 10:30am. I called earlier today at 9am and they confirmed the technician would be there between 10:30am and 11:30am. At 10:32am the technician called me saying there was an emergency call that he had to attend to, and I would have to reschedule for later on today or reschedule for another day. I called the 1-888 # to reschedule for another day and requested to be the first appointment of the day and they refused to comply. AFTER OVER A YEAR OF WAITING FOR THE PANELS OF THESE TWO NEW DOORS, FULLY PAID, TO BE REPLACED AND THEY CANNOT ACCOMMODATE ME WITH A PREFERRED DATE AND TIME! POWER DEFINITELY HAS POOR QUALITY SLIDING DOORS, WITH POOR QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Earlier this year we had new windows installed by Power. We were told that during that job, the contractors found a lot of "issues" with our existing wood and siding. We had 2 reps come out and conduct the inspection and they began the hard sell process at that time, one man and one woman. The woman was local and I believe her name isLeanna and the man is from Chicago and I think his name is Brian? This man proceeded to basically say that the vast majority of our siding was "rotting away and likely only being held together by the original siding." He added that "a ton of wood will need to be replaced during the siding project." The siding project is done and NO WOOD was replaced. At all. Clearly, this man did everything in his power to scare new homeowners into committing to a project that frankly, wasn't critical at this time. We were led to believe that much of our home was essentially falling apart and we were one storm away from losing everything. He completely catastrophized the entire situation and scared us into paying over $60,000 for new siding. We were on the fence about moving forward, and we let the sales reps know that. They then told us they could save us approximately $60k by "using the property as a training tool" yet no photos were taken. So, again another lie. We were told that all contractors would speak English and be in Power clothing and that the job site would be cleaned and returned to pre-work status. None of that was true. Our lead contractor wore a Power shirt and no one else on site. Our yard is covered in nails and other debris. Our internet cable was cut during the installation and we didn't even receive an apology. An electrical outlet was fried. Our back door leaks now, it didn't previously. One of the helpers cut a hose somehow and that hasn't been addressed either- I was questioned as to how it happened. And the work started a day late and we told on the day work was meant to begin that it wouldn't start until the following day.

      Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

A Power representative has been in touch with you in regard to the outstanding concerns with the siding and trim project.  An installation team returned to the home on 8/10/2022 to address the concerns with the clean up of the property and the leak above the entry door.  Power is waiting on the cable and electric companies to diagnose and resolve those matters and will be in contact with you in regard to compensation for each of them.  Power will also replace the hose that was damaged during the installation.

Please reach out to Power's local installation office in Denver after the cable and electric companies have performed the work necessary so that a Power representative may guide you through the next steps in reaching a resolution for everything.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: this does not respond to the entire complaint. The representative that came out 8/26/22 was fantastic; he did a great job of explaining any potential issues and as far as we know made sure that our back door will not leak again. That said, my complaint really goes back to the sales process.

      We were sold lies.

It's horrifying that a company is going around scaring people into incredibly expensive home repair projects that are simply not necessary. We were told that we needed to replace our siding, etc immediately or risk having our home rot away underneath the existing steel siding. Yet, when that steel siding was removed, the wood was in fine condition. The sales rep terrified us into spending money that we weren't prepared to spend. When we hesitated to move forward, the sales rep carried his lie further by saying that our home would be used for training materials, model photos and so on. Not a single photo was taken by anyone from the company. Clearly, this is just a sales tactic. And it's disgusting.

      Regards,

We had our siding and sliding glass door done by power home remodeling the door was installed December 27th 2021 and the siding was installed in March of 2022. The door has needed a new glass since the day it was delivered and also needs new rollers. I was told both of these were ordered but they have still not been fixed. The siding was done wrong and was coming off. They eventually came and fixed it but came without my knowledge. I was not home. They left the old siding on top of my egress fire escape (where it still sits). They took out a light and failed to replace it. They also did not put my address back up or change out lights on the garage, which I was told would be done. I have tried contacting them multiple times. I was given dates when they would be out to fix the issues but they never came. When trying to contact them again, I asked for a supervisor and they failed to contact me again. I have had nothing but issues with this company and they charge double what other companies do. I also purchased windows through them and have not been able to get them fixed by the warranty. I regret issuing this company. I am very disappointed in their services and would like them to fix everything and get the siding out of my yard. Getting some of the outrageous price credited would also be appreciated.

Stay away from these door to door scam artist. 2019, The workers did a great job installing the windows. The took care of the house as they went along. Explained everything after. The windows look great and work great. Am very satisfied. Would recommend them to my friends. Good job power! ( I said while the salesman looked over my shoulder at what I was typing) Update, 06/21/22 One of the windows go bad, the film is coming off on the inside pane of the window, all distorted trouble seeing thru it. no problem life time warranty right? So i call and report it on 5/2/22, still waiting, called again today and they said its still on the list, its on back-order, waiting for the manufacturer to make it.... It will be 12 to 14 months!! Ummm one of the key features the salesman said when he came to my house to sell me on them was they were one of only a couple window sellers that have there own machine and facilities and they make there own windows. now all of a sudden they are waiting for someone else to make it? Sounds like they lied. Wonder what else do they lie about? PS; my neighbors had there windows replaced by ****** ***** at the same time. 2 weeks ago he showed me one of his windows distorted, They just replaced it today. Manufactured and replaced in 2 weeks. ****** ***** actually makes their own windows and warranty is awesome. 8-9-22 still waiting. Don't buy from these scammers. Go to ****** *****. How could ****** ***** get replacement windows so fast and you cant. What if the window was busted out? 14 months with no window? are you kidding me?

      Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

The replacement window sash order for your home was placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for them to be completed and delivered. It is for these reasons that the order for the replacement sash is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Houston.  While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.

At the present time your order is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Houston later this year.  As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement.  We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

WOW, so your salesman (Taylor H**********) that came to the house on 9-11-17 said the windows ****** were made in house and PHRG had its own machine that the windows were made on and pushed that thought because he said no other window manufacture had their own and they all had to order them out. He had me and my wife convinced of that during his 3 hour sales pitch. We bought them thinking we were getting them right from the manufacture.

      Good morning,

Power has never manufactured it's own windows.  In the beginning of every window sales presentation Power discloses it's partnerships with vendors and manufacturers, including window manufacturers, as well as the charitable foundations Power aligns with.  Further, the window labels and window sticks and warranty information all indicate who the window manufacturer is.

The window provided to Power in 2017 is a proprietary window, only provided to Power and only from one window manufacturer, and not available to or from anywhere else, which may be where the confusion lies.

We had Power Home Remodeling come to install two basement windows. The initial person who came measured the windows and sent back the information. They then scheduled another person to check the measurements of the windows for pre-install which was rescheduled by them. The pre-install person came back I believe a week or two after and did his measurements. When the install date came around, I did not receive any call or follow on the install time. I took off work for this and called them the day of to see what time they would show up and the branch manager said they were not coming. I was furious since I wasted a day waiting for them and it was scheduled. We then rescheduled for I believe 3-4 weeks later and when they came to install the windows, one of the basement windows did not fit and the installer said it was measured wrong. I had to wait another three weeks for the correct window to be made and installed while they covered up my window with plywood. Now, on the second installation day they put all the windows in and that week it rained. We had a tremendous amount of water come into our basement through the windows and run down inside the walls. I sent pictures and video to the branch manger showing they improperly installed the windows and did not cork the windows properly. The branch manager would not send a different crew to fix the job and also at first said he couldn't get them back to fix the issue until much later. I explained to him this is unacceptable for a business of that size and he actually had the nerve to tell me "well then why did you go with us" on our phone conversation. I also asked him how I will be compensated for the damages which he said he will look into it. The installers came back the next day or the day after and I had to supervise them to make sure everything was installed properly. Power never followed up on the issue of compensation and payment and sent me a notice 133 days later saying where is payment.
